Hey Lindsay - awesome show as always, and another great way to explore and expand - thank you for that! Question for you, while I think the final output was outstanding, would it have worked in camera to use a ND filter to help with the highlights and skin texture? Not sure if that would have slowed down the shutter speed to much?
Was curious, I was thinking a reflective service for the model to stand on would give a liquid type of reflection. Using a matte black vs paint would help diffuse the reflection on the face and depending if you used a gel or powder type cover up like bare minerals, if might help smooth out the surface of the skin. Brainstorming.
Can I ask, could next time the cameraman record separate audio and not use the on camera audio, it really sound bad and puts me off. OF course the episode is awesome but watching it is a bit hard thanks. Brian
I really liked this episode. Both photographers made a great job. To me, Brooke an edge since the beginning, by having a shot idea first than Lindsay. Both had to improvise; but Brook was a ease while Lindsay clearly was bothered with the lighting. Besides, for me, her concept just do not resonates with the theme. Great image, I just don't get it. Keep up the good job, looking forward to next episode.
This was really great, loved Brooke, and the insight.I was really enjoying this. However why not just use a black model, instead of putting her in black face? It disappointed me....
The last shot with Lindsay would have been improved if there were eyes visible. Black pits left me thinking it was a mannequin versus a woman. It was a hard assignment...perhaps compositing eyes back in...
IMHO. For me Lindsay talks too much her output for this episode is really not so good you could see the panic in her face and feel the pressure how can she create an image worthy than Brooke output. Brooke is true to herself, image and concept. Her output is a reflection of who she is. Very creative.
Love the series. Linsday is much more literal in her concepts. Brooke goes much deeper for her meaning.

what strobe is that Lindsay is using? it shows at 27:39m.
Brooke, you need a radio release. It will work without being line of sight to the camera... A great episode btw.
I love these two ladies they're so pleasant
Nooo! The bonus streaming content is no longer avaliable :(

I know that Nikon has a relationship with @

COOL!!
no flash? high iso? cool artist-defo :)
Brooke's image was so much better IMO. Cool video nonetheless. Brooke is a genius at making something out of nothing, IMO.
Without feeling its not gonna work.

Imo,i think it's about time they stop doing these types of shoots! Let's move on to some real shooting please!
