- i had an idea and went with it. took me like a month and a half to make, too. i'm proud of myself. not trying to predict anything, just wanted to do this lol
i might make more videos like this but, it did take me a while to make it, so we'll see ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (if i do i most likely won't take requests for now, sorry)

A Professional Mayo Player I already thought of an amazing gimmick for Koopa Troopa. It would be his shell, which would give him passive super armor, and after like 80% dmg, the shell would break, and would act like K.rools crown if it’s lost, randomly spawning around the stage, but MUCH less frequently. And if an enemy picks it up it essentially functions as the green shell item.

@@jellybean5929 yes it is, in Hungarian (which I am) "gomba" translates roughly to mushroom. Although in Japan it's name is Kuribō which means chestnut person. And to top it all off the word goombah from Sicilian Cumpá means mate AKA a member of a gang (usually Italian) AKA a member of a secret criminal association

That moveset is really creative.
It's complete, there's many reference to Goomba's moves in different games.
(It's funny how well simple Mario enemies can work in Smash, with very uniques movesets)
But I think there's possibility to imagine an even better moveset to Goomba, so now I want to imagine one myself.
(Also, I think two of his color swap should be Galoomba and Goombrat.)
Oh, and I think the Down Aerial should be the Cat Dive attack. (He already has two moves with the Shoe)

His double jump should've changed all his arials fast but weak and his normals strong but slow

This was really well done, lots of refferences and inspiration, like Piranha Plant.
I would main this little guy just for the sake of Angry salty players mad that some minor useless character made it into the game before their fav pick.

Not only does this work incredibly well for goomba, but you managed to make certain moves not be weird to play in competitive play, where everything is fast. This is really cool

If “a god damn piranha plant” can have a cool moveset in smash, then a “stinking goomba” can too! This was great! Keep up the excellent work!
You forget to mention the stage intro. I have a few options for what it could be: 1. A goomba stack comes in, it falls apart and the top goomba (the one you control) lands on the stage as the others disappear. 2. Some Mario bricks are above the stage, goomba falls off, the bricks disappear, then goomba readys for battle. 3. Para-goomba flys onto the stage and retracts his wings. 4. Goomba jumps out of a pipe poses and the pipe disappears.
Also the Kirby hat would be Kirby's body in the shape of a Goomba plus the eyebrows and Kirby's arms. Just for fun the mini goombas will look like Goomba Kirby. Also would the Goomba hold items with its mouth. One more thing, goomba should not be that heavy. I feel like it should be about the same weight as pichu.
This is amazing. Its moveset has the detail and references that it would have if Sakurai actually added it, and it's very creative and doesn't seem too over/underpowered. Well done!
Two things: 1. For an Easter Egg, if Goomba is footstooled he takes damage and 2. For his Final Smash I think it would be cool if a stampede of Goombas of all types ran across the screen acting like a laser from one side of the screen to the other but isn't as strong as any laser Final Smashes and can't be aimed, some koopas could appear too.
I made a move set a lot similar to this. Except I didn’t utilize more of the powers like wings. Goomba’s grab was a leg lock instead, and the my specials and final smash are different.
Neutral: *Goomba Stack* pretty much the goomba tower, but different function. It can stack up to three goombas, each boosting attack power a little, at the cost of mobility speed. Like yours, getting grabbed or taking a heavy hit will topple the tower, and shielding cancels it, as well as other attacks.
Side special: *Goomba Rush* Like jigglypuff’s neutral, but with more control. Fully charged, the start of the run gives Goomba super armor. The Goomba runs in place as it charges, then rushes forward, ramming opponents.
Up special: *Spring launch* This move relates to sonic’s recovery in a way. A spring from Super mario world spawns below, and the goomba bounces off of it. The main difference is goomba deals flinch damage while rising. The spring doesn’t fall and vanishes after the bounce.
Down special: *Goomba Slam* The goomba leaps straight up into the air and rotates while plummeting down, carrying those caught in it until the impact with the ground, launching them a large distance.
The final smash: *Goomba Stampede* This is kinda like dedede’s B I G G A Y D A N C E from brawl, minus the dancing. It also a refernce to Boweser’s minions from the RPG series. Goomba puts on a little captain flag and a flood of different kinds of goombas rush across the stage. Tail goombas, paragoombas, giant goombas, and etc. each type of goomba does a set amount of damage as well, with giant goombas doing the most, and normal goombas the least.
D3's big gay dance is still my most favorite FS to this day.
A couple more ideas for the moveset:
Up Throw would use the Spike Helmet to launch foes upwards.
Down Tilt could utilize the Tanooki Goomba species (I dunno what they're actually called), swinging a Tanooki tail downwards.
Up Smash could also utilize the Goomba Tower. The other goombas wouldn't stay, though.
As for a victory animation, it could have Mario doing one of his Victory Animations, until Goomba stomps right on Mario when he's about to finish.
This is really good! Makes me want more generic enemies to have a chance in Smash.
Like how you utilized Goomba's most iconic powers, being the wings, shoe, and stacking (if stacking even is a power). Also all the headbutt moves capture the character very well! All I could possibly ask for would be a tanooki attack, maybe for fair or forward tilt. Still an amazing job and would love to see some more concepts!
i was actually thinking about doing the rail thing as a ftilt, but was drawn away from it because of the super leaf item. now that i think about it, it wouldn't have really mattered, since characters with tails can use the item ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Oh, I totally forgot about that! I love the thought of seeing 2 tails on a goomba

This is awesome! I made a goomba moveset too, but it was composed of a bunch of Mario enemies the didn’t have representation in smash (ex: side b was koopa shell spin) because I though only goomba was impossible. I’m happy to be proven wrong!

I feel like 2 quick aesthetic changes should be 1, one of his taunts/victory poses should be his dance from Super Mario Party and 2, Goombrutality should have a variety of Goombas attack the targeted player, such as Galoomba, Goombrats, Bone Goombas, and etc.
Maaaan, this is so creative ! You must have study the goombas like crazy ! I would never have thought that a moveset for a Goomba would be possible until I saw this video. Everything is possible !

Just appeared randomly in my recommended by the RUclips Gods, but I must say this was great!! Editing and creativity were well thought through! Though an extra touch on that down special for the goomba stack would be to have them roll around like the bunny does in odyssey with all those green hats, sure it would be one goomba in height but the speed and range would be formidable! Great way to clear the space around you! Maybe even a way to pick up items that are out of reach. Those are my two cents but still this is a smashing idea! :)

Down Special: Boo Buddy Burst
- Activated like a counter. Boo covers its face and turns translucent for a short time. If it takes damage during this time, it will produce eight other Boos which form an almost-complete circle around the opponent who caused the damage.
-- "almost-complete circle" meaning like in the shape of a C, like how Boo Buddies usually are in Mario games.
- If an assist trophy or Pokéball summon caused the damage, the Boo Buddies go around the fighter who summoned it (unless Boo or a teammate summoned it, in which case nothing will happen)
- The Boo Buddies will haunt the opponent for up fifteen seconds, following them around and circling clockwise. This phase is only visual, and does not interact with anything.
- Losing a stock with the Boo Buddies around you will not get rid of them once you respawn.
If the fifteen seconds pass, or if the down special move is used again before they disappear, they'll stop in their circling and close in onto the opponent. This deals damage (determined by how strong the countered attack was) and launches them in the direction that the open part of the circle is facing.

Impressive moveset for Gonkba--- I mean Goomba. I think this is the best moveset I've seen for a minor character (and that includes all the Waluigi movesets).

I...actually wouldn't be too upset if this happened, haha. This is fantastic! No complaints from me.
This looks awesome! I wrote a couple of thoughts I had about it below.
I think that with the wings, the goomba should have 4 jumps, like Pit. The first jump (without wings) could be fairly low, but after that they can be decent. I feel like Goomba would play with an air style, like a heavier Jigglypuff. The down special, when used in the air, should just drop a Goomba without a parachute, who walk along the ground. This could be used like Pac-man's hydrant (can be killed with attacks or by jumping on it, but damages from the front/back). I think his neutral could charge the 3 mini goombas, similar to Sheik's needles, but obviously get shot like Olimar's Pikmin. In the air, they don't go out very far but parachute down, and if they don't hit anyone they sit there for a very short time (can hop onto someone who walks by them).

I love this sooooo much. Only thing that I would change is the side special. I feel like an attack using the tanooki tail to Mario's Cape just works better for my tastes.

I like the idea. Here are a few things I think can be used to reference more of its appearances. Up smash or up air could be Goomba hitting a dice block, forward smash could be him swinging a baseball bat or a tennis racket, alternating. If anything, the forward aerial could work out better as an air tackle. A move that incorporates tattle from ttyd that sweetspots every a move until a b move is used would be (in my opinion) a good callback to the paper mario franchise. Maybe a move that gives him a conveyor belt could be useful as a speed "boost".
