Well in general autists especially. Tend to use logic to make do on their own where they can, And considering how some are VERY anti-social they definitely will make sure they have the right person when they need to ask someone something. (And yes I know there are autists that also are lacking in the logic department) Doesn't make them stupid.
That last one, is a serious lawsuit waiting to happen. Considering how this guy would let his own wife abuse both staff and customers so easily, it wouldn't be surprising if this guy ends up going to court for wrongful termination, among other things. Also a good way to get corporate's attention if they try to brush it under the rug, because they would be forced to investigate why somebody's spouse seems to have so much power over so many people, when they really don't.
The orange shirt home depot one; wonder how he would have responded if you had said "yes, being rude to customers is unacceptable (then make a point of looking at the managets name tag) Managers name is it? I will make sure corporate is aware of how you treat customers in your store when I lodge a formal complaint about how you have treated me, A CUSTOMER. I don't nor have I ever worked for you in this store, but as a customer, I am disgusted by how you treat customers and shudder to think this is how you would treat an employee. Perhaps just quiz them on what my name is, what department i work in, how long has he been there and working thst shift yadda yadda. Someone like them will get fired soon enough anyway assuming the store manager gives a shit, or I'd like to think.
on the second story, if ever a manager do treat you like that just call corporate as they have been doing that for a long time and will never change if you want to make real hell for him call your local news paper, in most towns they are dying for something to write about and a manager from hell abusing customers will be a good page filler
It was only until that manager actually realized that she was not a customer did he finally change his attitude. This tells me that she is not the first employee to get abused. Which begs a further question: "Just how badly was he treating his employees that his WIFE felt she could be abusive and that he had to scramble so badly to placate this non employee?" I think it might be in corporate's best interest to find out about this guy and what he had been doing.
the "you know the customer is always right, especially my wife" part pissed me off does that mean if his wife did something bad, he'd still take her side? i think thats abuse of power
I was in a crowded bicycle shop and was patiently waiting my turn for an available shop employee. I spotted a stool chair at the edge on the maintenance area so I sat on it. A minute later another customer approached me and started asking me about a bicycle helmet and I gave him an honest opinion of why wouldn’t buy that helmet and apparently he was offended by my opinion. And started yelling at me and telling me that I should be fired. I didn’t say anything. This guy made a scene and a store employee came to my rescue. The look on his face when the store employee told him that I didn’t work there was priceless.
In the last story, I would (once in the managers' office) have come down with my wrath upon that manager with a tongue lashing his ears would ring: "HOW DARE YOU TREAT A CUSTOMER LIKE THAT?! I DEMAND A REFUND!!!!! AND I'LL CALL CORPORATE TO COMPLAIN AND GET YOU FIRED!!!!"
That first one gave me a bloody good laugh as I do know who Gina is and how others have described her "Jabba the Hutt" which add to my visualisation of the offending sheila.
A very dear friend of mine is raising two autistic boys on her own, and she's doing an amazing job. If I had been in front of that lady that called the guy "autist" in such a disrespectful way (as if being autistic is comparable to being a moron or something), I would've made her swallow her teeth. What an ogre.
I would have called on that manager, He is horrible to his employees. Cooperate should know. Plus, his wife needs to know that there is no slavery in her country.
Last story I would have atleast once try to tell the manager I did not work there and if they continued to fire me after the employee said he was a problem I would immediately call corporate and tell them how the manager harassed me a customer and allowed his wife to call me autistic and other verbal abuses then fired me as a customer for not helping his wife when I don't work there and he knows I don't work there because I told them both.
Sometimes it's good to suddenly decide to "fiddle" with you phone (setting it on record). Then, if the unfolding evens warrant, transcribe it to a dated series of notes. You can never be sure if lawyers will become involved and your evidence may serve you well.
Here in Chile being called by snapping your fingers is an incredibily rude way to offend someone. You're lucky if you don't get some hard hits and punches or being literally painted over on really big insults.

I loved the story about "Gina", being Australian. An old workmate of mine had worked in the real Gina's (yes, female mining magnate) company, and saw her every now and then. She had heard stories about how that Gina treated her staff, and witnessed a few things herself. Basically, Gina Mk I was the worst sort of c**t. Funny thing is, she was supposedly quite nice earlier in life. Maybe something happened to sour her so badly that she felt the need to take it out on her underlings.
