Charleston (Music Farm) is a favorite of mine, on most days it's my favorite Venue Song. The Johns can make anything magical, even simple jingles.

Am I crazy, or is this mix different than the version on the Venue Songs album? Flans' vocals are clean here, but in the Venue Songs CD it sounds like there's a really slight chorus/doubling effect on his voice. Anyone else hear this?
You're right!! I didn't notice at first. Don't know if it's an effect or real doubling because it's pretty consistent throughout the song. Love the difference btw

This is an amazing song in my opinion and I’m probably not going to get married.
The unfortunate fact that I know a Lisa who was married to a guy named Dan who ended up cheating on her makes this otherwise pleasant song not one I think I'll enjoy as often as other TMBG hits.
That kind of makes it funny though

I have a suspicion this song was a wedding gift for a member from the "Band of Dans" and his spouse.
According to tmbw: Dan is Dan Vebber, a TV writer (Futurama, Daria, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, American Dad). His blog mentioned the song. Lisa is Lisa Melching Vebber, a senior vice president at NBC Entertainment
