In Hong Kong the cops would be called and then spend 3 hours talking you out of your knife and into cuffs. No shooting needed... In the last 20 years I've actually seen it happen once... Stopped traffic, blocked pedestrians for 2 blocks. The guy was angry about something - and the he was in more danger from his fellow citizens for screwing up their travel home, etc...

I am from the US and I love what you guys are doing over there. We dont get a lot of sidewalk driving but we do get a lot of people parking where they shouldnt. 3000 rubles is a horrible fine for driving on the sidewalk. Thats like $45 US dollars. They really need to jack up that fine to about 100,000 rubles. Thats about $1,000 US dollars. That is a significant hit to a persons wallet. Driving on a sidewalk is a very serious offense and the fine needs to reflect that. Good job for you guys though, way to stick up for the pedestrian!!!

@@JosephAgrane you think that's absurd? In the US we have very limited handicapped parking, the fine is usually like $200 and people will risk it because eh it's only $200. You make it actually hurt their wallet then it will change the behavior. Watch any video of people driving on the sidewalk, just give me the ticket, I will pay the fine. Cause it doesn't hurt their wallet. It's a joke to them. They will gladly pay the fine to break the law because the fine is nothing.
Darren Cole I did a bit of research and I’ve changed my mind I think you are right. I didn’t think tickets would go over £200 but a lot of tickets in the UK are charged based on your weekly income, maybe that would be a good way to go about it too? But yeah driving on the sidewalk is a pretty serious offence perhaps a $1000 fine isn’t so absurd after all.

In the US it's the same as what Joe said, we use registered mail. However, I just looked it up, in the US, one can still send telegrams. The original company, Western Union, no longer does it, but there are other companies that does it. However, I don't think these services are a legal way to prove the message was delivered.

To address the blade, they could have simply informed one of the officers he had drawn it and ask them to keep an eye on him to make sure he didn't harm anyone. If he puts it away without harm, no fuss. If he goes for someone, the officers would respond quicker as they're watching him now.

He did definitely climb on... As the cameraman/woman walks to the other side of the car it wasn't moving(or maybe only a few centimeters, definitely not enough distance to force him that far onto the hood) ;) Sorry, I support you guys, but in this case your guy did climb on.
Also, imho you really should wear clothes for this that can't scratch the cars. I'm all for unremovable stickers, but scratching the cars with zippers and such would be a dick move.
