I’m playing the EUT-MS by Enya Music. This instrument comes in a matte blue finish and in a natural satin finish as well.
I love this Instrument because it is an all solid mahogany ukulele with a beautiful sound.
It comes with all of the accessories you need to get started, which adds up to a lot of savings.
This is a great step-up ukulele or an even better ukulele to start with.

Hi. I bought a guitar after my wife died and couldn’t really get the hang of it I bought a tenor ukulele a couple weeks ago and have done more on that in a couple weeks then my guitar. I love your teaching technique. I’m not a patient man but trying to learn to be. I’m in Pocahontas Iowa. Retire chief of police I was in law enforcement for 35 yrs. My wife was a nurse for 33 yrs Thank you for what you do.
Wow! Thank you both so much for your service to our communities through your work in the police force and your wife in the medical field! I hope you are still playing ukulele!
Bernadette. I first tryed four saprano uks. Then just a week ago bought a Enya EUR-MAD Concert uk. And I’ve learned more in a week than month or more in a saprano uk. I just L O VE. L O V E. this concert. The price was my leavel and the tone is great and after a day or two stays mostly in tune. The first two string go out mare than the bottom twoooo. I almost bough5 the Benedett one but bad revieus and happy got this on in the nathural mahogany
My son bought me a Ukelele for my 89 th birthday. I found your videos and I love them because you go over and over slowly. I’m in So Cal. Thank you.
I love watching your beginner tutorials even now. 3 years ago, today I discovered you on YT and started my uke journey. Love you to bits, Ms. B 🥸💙🦜 Thank you for everything 🥰
Saiyara and what joy you've brought to others on your Ukulele journey. Love watching your videos.
Testimonial: My strumming was awful until I discovered the Bernadette Teaches Music method.
I listened. I watched. I learned.
And now I can strum. No joke. This is real! 100% true. I was so impressed I got the hooded top!
I just want to say you're an amazing teacher. I bought my ukulele in 2020 but I never played it because I was searching for the "perfect" song without learning basics! I started with your 30 days challenge this week and it is so well curated and exciting that I can't wait for my daytime work to end so that I can spend time learning ukulele.

love you
when she said look up, i literally look back up at the screen like she's teaching me in real life 😭
Me too
Wow, such a wonderful "How to" video! Wish I had had this simplified instruction at the onset of my ukulele journey. Simple, basic, and to the point instruction is what all learners appreciate. Thank you, Bernadette! 💗🎸🎵
Cannot thank you enough- After only 3 weeks I can now play Over The Rainbow by the late Iz... because of you!! 3 weeks! And my 3 young boys all sing with me as I play! Quality moments created because of your gift of teaching! Thank you! And I hope you have found love again! 🌸❤️👍🇦🇺👌💫🦋😁
THANK YOU for BEGINNER videos! You're teaching style is great! A few weeks in with my new uke and already having a ball
You are a gifted teacher. Thanks! Day two since I got my first uke. All strummed up!
Wheew! Thanks for this, Ms. B! 🥰
Thank you so much for your information and friendly and easy to follow instructions!! I so appreciate this format!
My boyfriend bought me a ukulele for my birthday recently and I have been watching a lot of your videos. You are absolutely incredible. I have learned SO much from you in such a short time. Thank you so much for what you do. You are an amazing teacher and I am forever grateful for you and your work!
Love this video so calming and informative hope this channel only grows more
Me, a Ukulele player of 5 years: "Hmm, fascinating!"
Thank you for the guidance!, helping a lot!
Yes, I have not had uke lessons since I was a young girl, and our teacher never taught basics...so these basic moves are very important!! Mahalo!!🌈❤️😘
Thank you! I played guitar about 12 years ago and quit after 6 months. Hurt my hands and was so hard to play cords. I love the sound of the Ukulele and found for a big guy like me playing cords is a ton easier because of the space between strings on the fret board. This helped so much as I'm used to a pick on guitar
Thank you so much. 💓 this was so helpful
Wow thanks I was waiting for this 😊
I am obsessed with the sweater!
Hi, I bought the Enya Nova carbon fibre Ukulele after watching a review you completed about it. I am loving it and looking forward to learn how to play the Ukulele and buy even more of them. Your lessons are great and easy to understand. Thanks for sharing them!
Awesome 👏 teacher!
This was super helpful c: other videos I watched didn't show me where to strum or how to strum, so this was EXTREMLY helpful and my playing sounds way better. i appreciate this a lot tysm!
Thanks for your easy listening tutorial
thank you for this. These videos are great to have.
You are the best ukulele teacher...thank you so much

Omg thank you so much!! I immediately saw a difference ❣️❣️❣️
Love this tutorial series, im currently learning via Hal Leonard and I've pretty well mastered the first book ASIDE from strumming cause I find it so difficult. Most resources dont properly break down how to position your hands from strumming so THIS IS A GOD SEND!
Ahhh, i Love your Videos and Ur sweater so much, thanx MS b🥰🥰
I just got my first ukulele yesterday…a beautiful baritone…but, this helped so much with how to strum! Thank you immensely ~~~ take care~~ Christy ❤️
I love that you are doing some things for beginners again!
Thank you! This is great 😊
Thank you teacher for the big help
Amazing tutorial.. 👍👍👍
thank you kindly!
Thank you for this very informative video
Really amazing.....
So sweet of you
You are such a great instructor 👍
Dude, I play guitar, but I just bought a uke (a kmise with a snail on it) . I totally need this
Thank you xx
Wow so basic thanks a lot👏🌷🌹
I finally can learn how to properly use my uke!
Omg! That sweater is gorgeous! I want to attempt to knit it.
Love that you are playing an Enya... I have three Enyas and all three are so sweet sounding!
Your course (so far) is nice and easy to follow, and I really appreciate that- nothing worse than someone playing a $1500 uke and more interested in getting their licks in and showing off rather than really trying to show the important stuff. I have had a difficult time figuring out how to position my fingers and the angle for the strum... at least, until now! Thanks!
Wow, excellent, I play all that u teach on my guitar... cheers from Canada.
Thank you for the amazing videos I have started Ukulele from scratch from your videos
Thanks for the helpful tips. I'm hoping to learn ukulele so I can play it for my students.
Thank you for this! I was finding it extremely difficult to strum the Ukelele.
I really appreciate that you often remind your viewers to look up and see what you are doing. 😅 I tend to play the tutorial in the background while i'm trying to get it right. 😂 Very good that you do that. Almost like you caught me not paying enough attention 😂
So much good from watching you! Thank you 😊
Aloha Bernadette! Good work!
Thank you ❤️ ma'am ✌️
👏👏👏
thanks you i am 10 year old and just started playing ukulele and you helped me a lot
Zabardast, cheers from Toronto....
I am 66 and have Parkinson's Disease -I am teaching myself to play so I can play a song for my grandkids- I have taken day 1 about 3 times now and am getting the rhythm finally- it's a slow process for me but this tutorial is wonderful - thank you!
Just started my Ukulele journey about three weeks ago. Found your tutorials on RUclips. Let me say, you are wonderful teacher and I find it amazing how you do all those things at once. Thanks. Trying to learn some new chords and I am trying to learn the D chord. There is not enough room between frets with my little chubby fingers to get it right. Any recommendations on an ukulele that might have more room between frets. Thank you so much for all you are doing. Peace. William
❤️
Still watching right now thanks madam. Siao!
Very motivate it
I love your fried egg sweater !
👌👌👌👌
Well done--and pretty funny the way you work to keep viewers attention--like you're teaching 2nd graders "look, look, look. Watch my hand."
I love the eggs on your sweater, good job. I don’t see how you make it so enjoyable. Peace
1:42 she told me to look up and i was actually looking down and my ukulele ... mind blown
I like your Video. Im a uke student. Im From Bangladesh..
OMG! THIS IS SO EXCITING!!! (even though ive completed all your challenges! IM COUNTING DOWN TO SEPTEMBER!)
What's In September?
@@sup_413 hey! In September is her annual 30 day challenge! She started doing those in 2018
@@tanisha9080 thank you - I just started playing 8 months ago, so I had no idea!
I'm a Patron - will I see it announced there and YT?
@@sup_413 Yep!
Your sweater is so cute!!
Thank you so so much!!!
My wife would love that. Where'd you get it?
@@ChickenLips78 aww that's cute
Hi Bernadette, I am a beginner at both the guitar and the ukulele. Your videos are inspiring, friendly and fun to watch. Thank you very much for that. I started with this ukulele strumming course today and my question is, if the same technique can also be used on the guitar or is this something else?
I want to subscribe a million times because I appreciate you so much. I've always wanted to play an instrument and because of you - there's is hope! Thank you, Bernadette.
Love,
A forever Patreon.
you kinda can if u hv different accounts
Straight for the sound hole! (Are we still doing phrasing 🙄)
your rings looks pretty
Ainda Quero aprender tocar esse violão Zinho aí 👍❤️💙🌹
I started watching your videos a couple years ago, but when the pandemic happened, so did a lot of other stuff...we moved, and then moved again...the vaccine caused my autoimmune issues to go crazy and I had joint issues for a WHILE. Ironically, now I have covid, and being quarantined and bored out of my mind is what is bringing me back to the beginning.
I have a question: what do you do with the arm you strum with? Do you rest it on the side of the instrument or just sort of hold it out in space? I do find some positions difficult because of joint pain, but also because I have a curvy figure...I have found a strap helps somewhat.
I like to play my uke with a leather pick. The sound is so clear and bright. Do you think I should wean myself off the pick?
Like 👍
Do you have any tips on how to go about working on loosening my tight wrist and forearm aside from the obvious one being practice?
🌈
Hello Ms. B, how is my ukulele is soprano I used A, D, F, B tunning. Should I change it into G,C,E,A? I have tried it but the A string on my ukulele it's too tight 😅 cuz I used the old uke for practice.
Thank you. What is your recommended nail length on men? I studied playing lute, with that there is no nails. Classical guitar I found to have long shaped nails (which is not a normal male thing). Uke for men nail length?
Hi, Thank you for making these videos. I use your videos to supplement my teaching. Right now I am doing a ukulele unit with 4th grade. A few of my female students want to know where you got your beautiful sweater from? I said I would ask. I had to laugh. That's what my students are worried about. :)
Aww 🥰 thank you so much!! I got it from a shop called Myracle on Etsy! But you can look on Etsy and there are other vendors who have similar ones. Say hi to them for me!
I know this must sound like an odd uke problem to have, but I can't strum while changing chords. I get really confused. If I am doing the island strum, I can only change at the end of the strumming sequence. If you have any ideas or advice, please tell me as I would really appreciate it. 😅
Practice 😁 i practice at least once or twice a day until i don't get confused anymore.
Thank you so much. My hand will go down but I can’t strum up
Hi, I'm beginner at ukulele. And I have a hard time with strumming down. Every time when I strum down with my lower part of nail it accompanies by "skrt" sound. And I have no idea how to get rid of it. Do I need to just practice more or anything else?
Also I'm sorry if there are some mistakes, because english is not my first language.
I’m finding it very difficult to use the index finger to strum. I often end up using my thumb for the down strum and the index for the up. Is this okay? 😢
Do you have a favorite ukulele? And what brand is it?
Ohh than you in all video instead of looking at Ukulele I was looking at u aalll the time😜
Hi Bernadette, is that UKELELE baritone or tenor?
Amazing video but I have one question is the nail supposed to make a sort of small scratching noise on the strings at all because I play softly sometimes and can hear it if anyone can help me that would be amazing!👍
I strum with my knuckles for a more muted sound. It does damage if you don’t wrap them in something so be careful.
oh wow! This is very helpful! I know pressing the cords is suppose to be painful but my finger (the skin on the side of the nail) hurts when strumming. Is it normal or am I just doing it wrong?
Hmm 🧐 I’m not 100% sure because I would need to see you, but I think you should strum where the fingerboard and the body meet. If you strum on the sound hole, you’ll experience pain. Also try to be a lot softer when you strum
Thank you for both the Q and the A. Love from Maui.
I see how to do the down strum on the right side of your index finger nail, but what are the instructions for up-strum?
Hi! That comes in the next video in the series :) I try to teach one baby step at a time
I am left handed. It is very confusing for me to have the same sound. Pls help me
I can’t figure out the upstrum. Strings keep getting caught against my nail, they’re a little shorter than yours
