I have my 2020 Z H2, Chris Moore flash, P08 air filter and full brocks penta carbon. Puts down around 220 hp at the wheel and around 103 ft/lbs of torque. Had a chance to buy my brother 2020 Streetfighter V4. I can say 100% in every aspect the Ducati is a superior bike. Weight...feels like a 400, handling...telepathic, quick shifter even without a BT flash silky smooth. Power and power delivery are the only area's it loses. Looks above and beyond my Z.....but as Yammie stated....my Z has yet to not make me giggle like a school girl every time I get on it. Power...blows the Streetfighter away no competition. As weird as it is to say the Streetfighter to me was actually boring to ride and to get any power out of it you really have to ring that motor out into the upper revs. After riding them back to back there was 0 question for me that I was keeping my Z. When that S.O.B. powers the front wheel up at 130+ as easy as a 1000cc sport bike does in first....that's when you know, like Nintendo, Now you're playing with power.

I own a V4S. Love the bike. Rode the M1000R in a demo before deciding. HATED it. Heavy in the front end. Gutless down low, utterly characterless. Vibrates your hands and ankles to the point of needing joint replacement. And trans was so stiff you basically have to wear a boot. Not riding shoes like my Astar ride knits. My foot hurt with those. We bought the misses a Speed Triple RS. Absolutely brilliant bike. For me it's SF V4, Speed Triple, Tuono, Super Duke, MT10. The H2 is cool as hell and fun but for me it felt like a one trick pony. Most of my riding is country road carving and track. So it just doesn't fit the bill for me. The Z900 though? Incredible bike for the money.

If you get one of those bikes, I would go by emoting.
No1 for me - MT10, the noise m m m m, I put one in my garage, not to drive it, just to use it as musical instrument.
No2 for me - Tuono. What a rocket for money and sounds great.
No3 for me - Triumph, mean, sounds great, and its affordable.
Ducs - yeah nice bikes, but they have a bad service record and for the price I can get two MT10 - almost.
The KTM, lots of grunt and power, have you ever worked on one? Service costs are high just like Ducs.
Everyone likes the BMW but does not win the emotions contest, agree with you Yam.
Suzuki - if you’re looking for a bargain with a solid tried and true engine that will last you forever, next to the MT10, that would be it.
MV - it’s a collectors bike. You buy one to show off, to put it into your living room in a glass case, it’s like owning a Da’Vinci - it a piece of beauty, dare not scratch it.
But in general for all of them - if you never taken a track class, or a class period, if you don’t know how to ride, then it won’t matter.
Buy a Bicycle, you’re better off.

As someone who has ridden both street fighters, it just feels more special, and it has a nice character.
The M1000r just feels bland, and the way it nannies you, it doesn't feel as pounchy or fast as other 200-hp nakeds. On paper, it is a great bike, but I fully understand why it's so low on the list, and Street Fighter 2nd in my option, Street Fighter v4, is literally the best motorcycle currently available; it does anything and lacks nothing.

The new BMW sports bikes feel to me like they always second-guess your choices and never trust you. The Ducati bikes feel like they have a telepathic connection with you, and the bike always does the things you do and trusts your choices.

ive had mt10, duke1290, and stv4s... The streetfighter is hands down the better bike. is the price tag worth it? maybeeeee not. in my opinion if youre only using it to ride on the street just pick ur favorite engine sound and color.... Youll never touch all they got on the street or track.

Lol good this is your list 🙈😊 the heavy straight way rocket ship wins the test? Well I understand the roads in USA is straight. But in Europe the z h2 is down on the list. I have ridden all 6 bikes on your top 10 list (from 6 to 1) and for me the list would be in total different order 😊 but nothing wrong with a different opinion 👍😊

  • @rickeco4tango33

As a Ducatista of course I don’t feel the ZH2 is in the same category, let alone in number one!! However when you factor in the price I can’t make no argument!!
For me the bmw is really good in this category, having ridden one, it’s chief’s kiss👌better than the streets fighter on being a normal rider!!as I’ve mentioned before in your comments I own a Panigale V4s and for me if I want that performance I want aggressive riding position with fairings!! But with bmw I’d take the single R over the double RR! The single R just feel better with that power output!!

My real grievance with the Ducati versus the Aprilia was the electronics. And no fuel gauge? I mean come on! That’s just ridiculous. Aprilia’s electronics are just top notch and at such a price point. Though I think the Ducati looks better, I picked the Tuono V4 and I don’t regret it. So much fun! Yes, it does get a little sour waiting too long at stops and slow traffic. But man oh man! When you roll on that throttle and make it go, it’s just ridiculously satisfying.

Respectable list. A) Good to see you can critique your picks. Every bike has pros and cons. B) Triumph speed triple: Maybe a great bike, but the headlights.. just NO!!! No, no, no... Part of owning a bike is the look-back appeal (without losing your lunch). C) I think the H2 is an awesome motorcycle, but... I would not own one. There has to be a balance of power and lean for a good ride. H2 has all the power, but leaning it into a curve? Seems like work with all the top-heavy weight.

To be fair, the V4 ducatis cost half as much to check and adjust valves as the old (or even new) V2s. You also only have to do it every 15k miles now so.. not too bad. ~4 hours labor isn’t a giant reason to not buy one.

I think the MVAgusta is beautiful, but that price is insane. I like the GSXs, don't like that Honda. BMW, no thanks, its pretty, but too much money. I don't trust the reliability, like their cars. Too she-she. I don't like the KTM look either. Aprilia is pretty, not enough dealer support. The Triumph headlight, ugh...I can't look at it too long. I love the MT-10, the looks, the way they run, everything. Love it! A man's bike! Sorry, I don't like the new Streetfighter's looks. I love the last gen though, the VTwin. TOO MUCH MONEY! Not worth the money. I love the KAW. I am prejudice. Although the reliability of a supercharged engine is sketchy, I have faith in Kawasaki. I would just change the engine oil every 700-800 miles, for sure. I know you mentioned, money is no object. I feel that money IS always an object, even if I were "Bazos-wealthy". For me, its a toss-up on the KAW H2 naked or the YAM MT-10. Both are wonderfully over-kill, but worthy of my love. Both are a punch in the nuts naked-bikes!
