Love your artwork!! Can you make someday course Blender Hard Surface like this? sculpt hard surface then go to retopo, etc, to make a good some mech model
This would be a good one to keep the original geometry, bake it and apply it as a parallax decal with DecalMachine all automatically(more scripting required).
Unfortunately no, but most of my scripts are free and you can maybe learn a bit from examining some of them: github.com/ArmoredColony/ARMORED-Toolkit/tree/master/operators
Very cool, do you have a tutorial on how to bake displacement map from my super high poly sculpt model to a retopo'ed low poly uv'd model? And apply the displacement map to that low poly model? Thanks in advance
@@starwarz8479 I'm no expert, but I would apply real displacement to the high poly. That way, you could bake High to Low poly in whatever software of your choise (Blender, Substance, etc). I believe there's a displacement modifier you can use. There should be plenty of normal map baking tutorials because I don't have any full step by step one to share. Cancel Reply
@@ArmoredColony I'm trying to find out how to bake real displacement map and reapply to the low poly model not the fake normal map approach. I actually managed to bake it but had some strange blocky artifacts in my displacement map.
Trying to make this character using only Blender as a test (never sculpted in blender before). I can see myself alternating between Blender and ZBrush projects based solely on my mood. Next character will probably be in ZBrush just so I don't forget how to use it.
@@ArmoredColony I’ve been on the fence myself. I’m learning zbrush more and it’s feature set is so good. My biggest thing is I want to spend as much time as I can in one program. I tried to use blender as a one stop shop but man I hate having limits and performance issues especially with the amount of money I spent on my PC. Ultimately I said I’m going to give Zbrush a fair shot and just use blender for the few things zbrush doesn’t do well like retopo or UVs. I mainly focus on hard surface props. I will miss going from cube to asset all in one program though.
@@DevGods oh yes, being able to stay in a single software and not deal with exporting is really nice, but like you said, ZBrush has some really cool features that I do miss from time to time. I intend on making a video about the pros and cons of each app after I finish this character.
@@ruqtkima7918 I re-tested this exact script. Doesn't seem to be working anymore. I'll get back to it because others have asked for it too, but as it is right now it does not create the pattern you see in the video anymore. Sadge
Those are some nice shoulders.
Why not today
I'd absolutely love it if you can make this script available, though! It could come in handy when you wanna explore some shapes quickly!
Eventually, but right now my focus is finishing the character.
This is very fast and awesome cool man!
omg blender is just soooo nice. you made it look greatttttttt
Blender is pretty nice.
Oh damn, I just realized i saw that model in mx discord before! Really cool script, too
Oh yeah, I posted some progress there.
Very good
Please make blender sculpting tutorials
that's actually funny... nice script tho x)
One day i will make AAA quality character models
One day I will be a real boy
@@ArmoredColony reminds me of spamton
What, why?
@@ArmoredColony spamton is a puppet, obsessed with becoming a big shot, and freeing himself from his strings and becoming, and i quote: "a real boy"
Oooh
-how cool the details are, look!
-…I see nothing..😮
-but it is there!
Btw, looks awesome
Haha, yeah, sad. Ill just have to do a render without shoulder armor

I most likely will one day
@@ArmoredColony Thank You so much 🙏🙏, yes you can start a simple course like mask mech, or helmet mech, or armor
Good ideas
I hope its released to the public soon. For sale or otherwise.
I feel pressured!
we want itt!

I could, but real geo looks nicer than even parallax
I also put real geometry way over texture-based tricks.
@@ArmoredColony I only thought about this as a decal instead of real geometry because it was immediately covered up by the shoulder pad. 😁

Do you have any courses on how to write scripts like yourself? I'd be really interested in learning that

Need a similar script for 3ds Max 🙏
Please, please, put it on gumroad or blender market or anyhwere! I could make some sick pinned sofas with this.
I'll share it eventually like all my other scripts (it's not quite finished) but right now I'm focusing on the character.
I need a tutorial to make one like that! ❤
The character or the script?
@@ArmoredColony the script! It is perfect to work fast! Love it! Great job 👏👏👏👏
Were you running cycles or eevee on the left viewport

@@starwarz8479 Oh I see, my bad. When you said Low poly I immediately thought videogames, but you just meant a clean retopo of a sculpt.
Did you move your whole pipeline to blender or do you still use zbrush

How to make you?

when will be the day we get this scriptt plessss

It's a horrible script. It's super slow.
@@ArmoredColony let me test it out? 🤔
