This video pretty much summed up Alex Senechal's teaching, you could always flow lines to direct the viewers eye to a certain point, echo some details around model, weighing contrast between two sides etc... Great video for learning aesthetics!
@@ArmoredColony Alex Sene is my fav hard surface artist/designer. His video Visual Design Basics is the best tutorial out there about visual design. I diidnt even leanred what i leaned from that tuotrial when I was in design school. I love his artwork so much that I want to model all his design (copy n learn technique), lol, I actually modelled one of his gun designs as a practice to get better at hard surface subd based modeling. 😉
Different scripts appear in different modes. If you go into edit mode and search again you should be able to find the "Align Vertices" and the "Flatten" scripts I used in this video.
Would you mind sharing your work environment (i.e. the working mat and lighting is really nice!) PS - Amazing content as always Armored! Have you updated the scripts? psps - I love the center on your mesh looks so good
The materials are simple Principled BSDFs, black diffuse, one rough, another shiny. The HDRIs should be included in my Armored Toolkit addon, you need to enable them in the addon preferences.
Excellent video demonstrating some essential art concepts, Armored! Well done!
Your art is awesome!
Couldn't figure what it was but now I see it! Your viewport looks like maya and Blender had a child :P
XD

Very true. Alex is 100 times better at this stuff, but I try to always keep learning.

@@A.Shek_ I also watched that tutorial a while back, and imitation is the best way to learn in my opinion.

Sorry, one more note; the only script that I can get to pop up in the search field is the subd options for "armored..."

Is everything included with your hdri's etc from the scripts pack?

No materials in that addon yet, but scripts and HDRIs are included. I can tell you exactly which one I used after I get home.
@@ArmoredColony Thanks mate
@@DaCapitalist1 The HDRI I was using is called "ARC 2 Panels Tilted 4K". It will appear with blender's HDRIs
Is this another addon?
No, just some design tips.
