I started spraying my chrome with testors window tint..it tones it down and makes it not look so toyish.got that tip from Paul turly..but I'm 46 and I dont know anyone who builds..RUclips is a blessing
In the 1940's, Ford engines were typically painted the same dark green they had been using since the 20's, so your green isn't incorrect, the diecast model is, in 1949 Ford started painting their engines either black or red.
Hello ! You do a great job as a model builder, but also I think as a video producer : I like when you stop, asking questions to yourself and/or to your viewers. It is not only a building process but also a very human one.
Your 48 has turned out really nice and the brown colour looks very much of the time. Imagine Ford using up wartime paint supplies. Good build. Thanks for sharing it. Pete😎
What a great build. I would never buy this kit, then I saw your build and now I have to try it. I held my breath while you were doing the bmf. Great job. Thank you for the effort!
Here’s an idea that may help with bmf. Try masking the trim with Tamiya tape before bmf. After you’ve cut the foil, peal off the tape and the extra foil comes up with it.
Awesome build!! Ur channel got me started w/ BMF. Tks for keeping it real w/ the BMF. Now I know @ least 1 other person has 'opportunities' w/ the stuff!!!
That is a gorgeous build. I don't know if the brown is period correct or not but it looks like it should be. You make the chrome foiling look easy. I don't know if I lack patience or got hold of a bad batch but I have the worst luck with mine. Add this kit to my growing wish list.
The model looks great, I've built two of the 48 Ford's, and have one I got already built by someone else, they are beautiful kits, Revell does some nice mold work for sure!
Looks great! I’m fixing to start a Revell c10 65 .I’m just getting back in to model your video help me to get started back. Thank you keep up the great work !!
You've confirmed that this is the 'Hershey' car. The bare metal foil looks like the wrapper for Hershey Kisses.. Looks Great. Now I'm hungry for some chocolate..
Don't feel bad on the bmf Matt..lol I myself usually have issues with bmf trying to release it from the build. Afterwards it is well worth it and yes yours turned out great 😊😊
@@modelcarvideos5829 l should be thanking you. Due to some health issues I've become practically a shut-in since l had to retire l2 years ago. You and the other RUclipsrs who share this hobby have brightened up more days for me than you can imagine.
I had my doubts about the color, but it turned out great!!! I'm struggling with the mpc kits too..mpc is hard to resist, they have great subject matter..
This was a beautiful build truned out awesome 👍 great job .when you going to build the monster truck usa-1 I seen on yourself in the beginning of the video
Really great work! A tip for foiling: put some masking tape on the area to be foiled. Then you can just lift off the masking tape and the foil comes along. Touch the tape glue side with your fingers a little to prevent any glue stains on the paint, though the risk is minimal. Which model is the maroon colour car?
Great build mate, love the colour even though it kinda looks like a chocolate bunny as you say, lol, came out looking awesome, have a sheet of the bare metal foil here but haven't had the guts yet to try using it?,think you may have inspired me,have been wanting this kit now for quite awhile so i may have to get it now, looking forward to your next build, have you heard of model car hobby headquarters of fb & luka Cee's chanel of the same name on here btw?,keep up the great work, cheers
Your 48 came out great I'm way out if metal foil practice can't remember the last time I did that!....who mad the metal one Danbury, Franklin mint .. Other? I sold most of mine only go two left a 48 Tucker and a 49 Buick convertible.
You crack me up. You talk like your not sure what your doing, and ask alot of questions to your audience as your building . You are a damn great builder, you do great work, alot of us need guidance from you ! Lol I have painted two bodies in a row and screwed them up to where I wanna stop building. I'm not though but its frustrating. These last 2 builds I have decided that I will never paint a body with a can ever again. Airbrush only. Amazon has great prices on badger and paacshe Airbrush 1 and 2 oz bottles. I buy em by the dozen. NO MORE BODIES PAINTED WITH A CAN ..LOL ! Frames, and parts ok. Anyway, I appreciate your videos. There are fun to watch and look forward to your next build. Just curious. How many unbuilt kits/ inventory do you suppose you have ? I am 58. I bought alot of kits when I managed a hobbyshop chain over 30 years ago which I never built. I just got back into the hobby about 2 years ago and Instead of building the ton of stuff I have,I keep buying new kits. THANK YOU Hobby Lobby with your 40% off . Lol . Again, thank you for your videos. Howard
Build a 53 panel truck to match the silver foose truck .I have 2 foose kits all the suspension and motor going under a panel I'm building. It fits perfectly. I also have that frame cut up under a 48 ford coup like the one u just finished.
These die-cast cars almost make me ask myself why am I busting my butt, spending hours upon hours building a car kit which I will never be satisfied with ,when I can buy these beautiful flawless replica's and spend my time on something else ? Lol
Dug into my old stash & found a Woody version of this car. Had to re-watch these videos to get some more ideas for it.
👍🏻👍🏻
Now that you mention it , it does look like chocolate. She turned out Great!!!! Awesome Build!!!!
Thanks Michael!!
A wonderful piece of work! Good colour choice; Mr Ford once said "They can have any colour they want so long as it is black!"
Thanks!!
Awesome thank you for sharing how on BMF . my hand was shaking when you was peeling it off lol. Have a great and blessed weekend.
Thanks Neamon!!👍🏻👍🏻

I found it much easier to use masking tape, mask around the chrome parts, then apply silver using a simply silver Sharpy, or even a Malatow pen!
Looks great
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
very nice
RJ
thanx for the BMF tips
Looks great!!
Try out the Molotow chrome pen sometime. It works pretty good.
I might have to buy that kit

Which model is the maroon colour car?
And of course the (New improved) chrome is the one to use, much easier than Bright chrome or aluminium.
Wonderful beautiful
Thanks!!👍🏻👍🏻
I am not glad that you are having problems with the BMF but I am glad to see that I am not the only one that have these problems. I hate BMF.
Its challenging for sure!!👍🏻👍🏻
This car looks absolutely beautiful. What is the name of the body color? I'm going to build mine stock and one as the police car.
Thanks!! It's Testors gloss Light Brown.
All it needs now is some Hershey's logos on the doors!😄
Yep!!👍🏻👍🏻
It's a good solid color brown. I think it will be brown metallic when I make it. Did metallic colors exist in the 1940s?
I'm not sure but that should look good!!
How do you cut your foil without damaging your paint? I had that problem with my 56 Del Ray .
Very carefully! I don't cut beyond where the foil will be.

That's a diecast model. Same scale
Model A motors were green.

U do anything with the foose parts truck
Actually since revell sent me a new cab I have all the parts to complete it. It's just waiting in line!
