I'm cryin'. Bought a roller for 1200. Parked it forty feet off the road. Drunk driver left the road and hit the rear quarter, insurance co totaled. Got my money back. Thanks for the memories!

    Hey Matthew,
I'm attaching a link for a paint mixer that will definitely make your life easier. You may need to epoxy the mixing rod to the motor spindle I did. Clean up is a snap. Make sure to turn it off before and you take it out of the paint pot. Run it in a little bottle of thinner for a second and it's clean.

Believe or not,Don Yost uses 2 of the
1/2 oz.,1 oz total of the Modelmasters bottles with 2 to 1 ratio with Lacquer thinner. I tried that way and I always have a decent amount of paint left.
He uses is up by applying roughly 16 coats. Then a clear coat. Crazy !

And one more thing I didn't know those tester enamel bottles you're using once you send them properly actually make nice paint for airbrushing people don't use it no more they just like using that ready to spray stuff that that's out now where you just put the drops into the cup and put a couple drops of it flow additive or thinner and then there you go you're ready to go you just put your thumb on the tip to let the air mix up the contention a lot easier but I'm going to start using all the tester stuff I have now and thinning that out cuz I have a collection of a hundreds and hundreds of these little bottles of enamel is laying around the start using that for bodies to save a little money and get rid of it cuz I'm spending anywhere from 20 to 30 bucks on Vallejo paints per model just because it's easy and convenient and then I spray 2K clear over all my models too which is amazing

Awesome Bill man I'm doing the same car and building the police version and I'm building the stock version I got both kits so I could build both of them I always do that with two and three and four and one kits there's not enough parts to build the second version which some kits you can build both versions you just missing a body but I'll buy two three or four kids so I can build all four versions what fun is it just to build the one version right laugh out loud but awesome build and you give me a few ideas of what colors to use as well thanks as in suspension and motor wise & the frame. I'm really trying to get away from the all black framing suspension that I'm trying to get more color into it making every sub of some of the car flow together like the frame has the same colors as the body and the body has the same color as the interior etc trying to use all the colors in each place make it all flow and make every part stand out in a way

And this one the best kids that they made back then in that year era within a few years of the that this kit came out it was barely any claim to do on the body hardly any flash the frame has a few little places of flash but mostly injection mold holes that you got to fill in or sand but that's about it though and for everyone else remember to put the Dan exhaust system in before you put that other x frame rail member in the center on top because otherwise you have to cut it loose on one side and then slide your exhausting it's all skills in first the instructor kind of messed up on that part and I didn't realize it until I've already glued both the x's on both my frame so I'm building both so I have to go ahead and cut that one side loose to put the exhaust back in but that's me for being dumb. And not every rebel kid is good A lot of the ones from that year that they made are very junky kids because the frames and bodies are warped or not molded with enough styrene and stuff like that this is one of the better kids but the new German kids they got out now in 2022 are absolutely amazing tooling I mean it's like to me a quality and some of the kids fit so tight that you guys scrape the pain after the tolerances are so tight it won't fit and either get a German kit from Ravel it's the 289 Cobra kit and you can always put that car together without glue really if you wanted to but you're completely right older AMT kids and stuff like that if you want to challenge go ahead and build them because those kids have a lot of flash and a lot of parts that shouldn't be parts like you got to assemble the head on the '90s mustang GT one it looks like garbage when you're done I use the motor out of the foose Ford F100 kit because the frame wasn't molded with enough styrene and the body was warped and not pulling up with enough styrene either to be able to work with it just shattered in my hands and a lot of other people had problems with that kit being overly words where you can't even work with it but it has a beautiful motor in it someone buy a bunch of those kids if they're on sale for $3 at my local hobby store because the kids are drunk just for the motors because it has a beautiful Ford motor in them the other nice thing about this kid is is that if you don't build the police version you get police lights to put on a different classic car from the 50 to 60 to turn to a police car as well so you can basically turn any vehicle into a vintage looking police car and they even got the radio and everything for the interior it's pretty cool little kit with the police equipment and since my local hobby shop has these two in one 1948 Ford police coupe kits on sale for $5 I'm going to go tomorrow and buy every single one they have because they are nice kids nice for scratch building drag cars out of them making race cars NASCARs anything you want out of these kids moonshine cars custom cars everything even the frames are nice for building rat rods and stuff too I'm also building a chopped up version of this to make it a convertible no top roadster type hot rod with a big blower motor and a roll cage and wheelie bars for drag racing on it then I got another one I'm building as well the same kit with I got the roof chopped the deck is rounded from the trunk that I rounded out some more made the wheel wells bigger but put some fender flares on it and then made it more curvy and more decorative looking and then I chop the hood and narrowed it chop the fenders off made those not as big as a hump on them it looks really good right now a lot of work went into it about 6 months worth of body work working on it for 2 or 3 hours a day after work these model kids if you do custom builds men are a lot of work it's crazy on how long it takes to do custom deals like chopping tops and sexy bodies and stuff like that just to get the body to look correct after you put filler in it so you can't tell when you paint it and thank God for RUclips with reviews of model kit showing which kiss to stay away from and which kids to buy because when I was a kid back in the early 2000s like the age 10 to 13 you didn't have RUclips you had to go buy the kids and if they were a junk you're just out of luck and have to build it or use the parts you can in it for other builds so you're basically buying blindly back then that's why people had so many kids and big collections of them back then because you had to buy a bunch of kids just to get a few good kids but thank God for RUclips it saved me a lot of money of buying junkie kits but this kit right here is a really nice kid I love it
