Thank you, Mayra! I’ve lost 36 lbs on keto and your ideas and recipes have been so helpful. Sometimes days get busy and you need something quick to prepare that won’t bust the budget or the diet. These ideas fit the bill!
Hey Myra, Thanks for all your help and entertainment. Thanks to you I've reached my weight loss goal of 40lbs, with nary a second of feeling deprived. When you don't feel deprived, you aren't tempted to cheat or backslide.
Thank you so much Mayra. You have helped me so much with my low carb journey. I have been subscribed to your channel for a long time now. Really enjoy all your recipes and just your information in general. Keep up the great work!!
Thank you for thumbs up on the meatballs…I do those meatballs, shredded carrots, super greens, bell pepper and I found a sugar free burger sauce…so good!
Love your channel and videos like this of you actually going into stores and showing what you’ve purchased. I think a helpful suggestion for a video would be something like this or a Costco trip in preparation for a low calorie meal for a large group of people. Holidays are coming up and a video that specifies how many packets of meat and other ingredients were purchased to prepare a meal to feed 15-20 people…followed up with you preparing the actual meal would be so helpful for the upcoming holiday season!
Better good products are popping up all over the store in lots of different sections. The hatch chile chips are amazing, low carb and made with avocado oil. They do have other flavors that are still low but much higher in carbs.
You have been so helpful to me. It's just me and my husband and I'm the one on low carb, so cooking can leave me with so much left over. These single serve frozen options are a great alternative for me. Love your channel ❤️ 💕
I found a frozen lasagna bowl dinner made by the Real Good brand. Instead of pasta, it uses a very thin pressed chicken patty smothered in the sauce and cheese. *YUM. Was Sooo good!
I make spaghetti with frozen meat balls with side of broccoli. But for my plate I skip the noodles and just use the broccoli as the base, then put the meatballs w sauce and a little shaved parm on top. It feels indulgent but it’s not too bad
I really need to buy an air fryer. Which one did she recommend? I must if missed it. I been haven't been on too long. But I really like this channel . Thanks in advance 😊
Hi there. Could you possibly include the sodium content when discussing low cal and low carb options. A lot of these product have very high sodium which is terrible for blood pressure. Thank you!
It's a catch 22, either its low in fats, sugar, carbs but then you end up with high sodium . I have high blood pressure and my doctor us constantly telling me to check the sodium amount along with the Trans fats. I know too much sugar can make your blood pressure high as well. It's hard trying to eat foods that cover all these elements that are bad for you. It's also hard now days to be able to buy all organic because of the high grocery prices, especially if your on a fixed-income. Wish it was a little easier to figure out and afforc.
New subscriber here. Love your channel. Just started Nutrisystem but know that when it’s done I’ll need to know how to continue to eat healthy and low carb.
Hello, can you please make a video about proteins, how much is the most we can eat and helping to understand the food table. There are many people like me who need to change our diet but we do not understand the food table. Thank you very much.
Hey, love the video and content! Walmart has a new store brand called Bettergoods, I think, and they have a keto bread and lots of other more "elevated"/natural/fancy/organic types of food offerings, I hate to admit it (supporting walmart but we gotta eat you know?) but a lot of the products are super good for the price. Since you were there, I was curious if any of their items were in your store yet and what your thoughts are :) Thanks for great content and real-life solutions for a low carb lifestyle!
Some people need the extra sodium. It's not for everyone, nor should frozen pre-made meals be daily. Ordering pizza isn't good for us either, but having a convenient meal now and then is nice.
Did you know comanies can add things with a higher GLycemic index than sugar, and NOT have to declare it onthe label as long as its lower than 500mg? Watch out for ingredients like dextrin, dextrose, polydextrose, there are others, and modified food starch raises BG levels.
Would appreciate it if you had tried the items instead of reading labels. For example the first two items were spicy. Are they good tasting or just good for people that can handle the spices.
I have Alpha-gal so can't eat mammal or products from them so dairy is out as is carrageenan. I tried Great Value Turkey Meatballs, I through them out. Wondering if this brand is better. Hubby is Pre-diabetic so hard to cook around here...cross contamination is an issue.
Usually stuff like that is off the charts with sodium! As someone with blood pressure issues, I don’t buy anything like that, don’t even buy canned soup, so just because “healthy” is in the name doesn’t mean it is, sadly
She is not pushing the prepackaged foods, but showing us some realistic choices if we are pressed for time. I appreciate her taking the time to give us a brief overview of some choices. If you want more information you can easily Google the products to see the ingredients your self or check them out next time to go to the store.
@TexasGirl1633 I didn't say she is pushing them I don't need the ingredients because I eat real food and I'm never hungry on keto and can wait till I get home to make real food that doesn't take long.I have never made one of her recipes cuz I eat 1 item foods so take minutes to prepare
This will help me, I am really struggling with reducing my carbs, I’m honestly addicted, I can eat crackers, chips, cookies, candy etc. Without ever getting burned out, my problem is I have a really painful back, my spine is a mess and my pain is failing due to a fall when I was 10 years old from the second floor, falling about 18 feet backwards. Anyway cooking for myself is difficult, I have lost weight by having gastric sleeve surgery, and I’m finally a healthy weight and size, but, I still should lose 15 pounds, I’m just inside the “healthy” BMI limit, the very top. Also I really want health blood glucose levels. Now when u say I CAN eat carbs all day every day, doesn’t mean I do, I usually have one bad day a week or so, and then I’m in recovery guilty mode until my next cheat day. I think having some of these items in my freezer will help the compulsion part of my brain. It’s weird there are three other people in my household that I cook for, but I’m so empty when it comes to the cost of ingredients and motivation to create.
I would love to try the LMNT if they had a lower sodium option. I am not sure why so many people are advertising for this company when the guidelines for sodium is 2,300 milligrams in one day. I wouldn't want to drink nearly half of my intake and then be worried I'd get too much sodium from my food during the day and have to monitor it so I didn't. I like the I.V. Liquid and it's only 500 mg per packet. "The Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend that adults limit their sodium intake to less than 2,300 milligrams (mg) per day, which is about one teaspoon of table salt. The amount of sodium you should consume can vary depending on how much you exercise and sweat. However, consuming too much sodium can increase your risk of long-term illnesses like high blood pressure.
Because most people who drink LMNT are on a keto diet and those on a keto diet need 5000mg of sodium a day because your body is constantly flushing sodium, magnesium and potassium when you aren't eating carbs to hold the electrolytes in the cells of the body.
You could also check out Dr Berg electrolytes. They are much lower sodium and much higher potassium. I don't really like the electrolytes with such high sodium as much.
Unfortunately, most of the items you showcased are loaded with seed oils....and if you have cut them out of your diet, it is almost impossible to find thing premade because those cheap gross oils (especially SOY)are used to extend shelf life and healthy oils (avocado, olive, ect)are more expensive. I have to make almost everything I eat. So, the life change eating I do is the 16/8 because my problem is gastro related. Dropping those bad oils and cutting sugar out(except sugar free certain chocolate small amount)has helped big time especially with my joints and eczema...so strange.
Thank you, Mayra! I’ve lost 36 lbs on keto and your ideas and recipes have been so helpful. Sometimes days get busy and you need something quick to prepare that won’t bust the budget or the diet. These ideas fit the bill!
I never even go to the freezer section for anything anymore but I'm glad there are a few options now.
I eat the power bowls all the time, they are really good ! Its the only frozen meal I eat

Thank you for making these types of videos!! Very helpful. Keep em coming
I love those chicken fajitas! Made some yesterday with mushrooms and spinach in low carb tortillas 😋

Thank you, I enjoy you showing us different in-store options. It helps me know what might be worth checking out.
Love your Walmart shopping videos super helps me I look for these items 😊 thank you 😊
Thanks for the info. I bought the air fryer that you recommend. Can you do a video on your favorite foods that you cook with yours?
I really need to buy an air fryer. Which one did she recommend? I must if missed it. I been haven't been on too long. But I really like this channel .

Just started watching. Which Air Fryer did u recommend???

Thanks Mayra.
You are very welcome.
Gracias Mayra!
Thank you so much for your videos , they help so so much
Yes, John Soule's fajitas are good. The chicken is more tender. The beef can be a little tough.
Thanks Mayra for all these great tips and also shopping at Walmart which is budget friendly 🙏🏼
I love watching your shows, would you start mentioning the sodium content like you do with protein and carbs?
Just ordered my lmnt, thank you

I used to eat the powerbowls but the sodium is alittle high on those.
I use Natures Own life bread at 1gram per slice and are full sized and regular mouth feel
Still loving your content. Thank you ❤
Thanks for your help to show what's out there
I only eat the Atkins frozen dinners (when I can find them)…. I’ll have to check out some others.
How much is the sodium on those boxes? ❤
A lot!
Can u make a video of a day in your life too? That would be awesome😊👍

Those meals you recommended had too much sodium in them rather cook meals from scratch
I agree. But whenever you're dieting, you have to give up something and take on something. Most of these meals can be made at home without the salt

They should reduce the sodium next. Cannot buy products with high sodium.
Sometimes when you're faced with going with something like this or going "off plan", this wins.

Lost 75lbs so far. Like to stay away from processed foods but good to have options
Listeria outbreak - Walmart hit hard!
Is tuna high in mercury?
The sodium count on the electrolyte is so high! Do you know of any much lower brands? My max total per day is 1400 mg of sodium.
I use half the pack in a full bottle of water.
How's the sodium content on these? I've lost weight low carb, but the sodium catches up with our body eventually.
Thanks.. I can now look at some faster foods. I stayed away due to the crap oils.
My husband Loves the better goods bread.
I also have to look at sodium content......most frozen foods have alot of sodium.
I hope ,my Walmart gets the ahi tuna poke
Would appreciate it if you had tried the items instead of reading labels. For example the first two items were spicy. Are they good tasting or just good for people that can handle the spices.
I stopped eating the healthy choice frozen meals years ago because of the sodium. Are they still high in sodium?
Why are u worried about salt?? Do u have a health issue? Do u have high blood pressure?? If not you shouldn't worry about it
QUESTION: With the LMNT, why so much salt? That's the one thing I don't get with those.
Thank you I noticed that they are gluten-free the first items you show. I have celiac so I have to be careful.
Check on the sodium too. Some people can't have to much sodium 😢
