Thanks Kaja! I’ve seen many videos and you are the first who explains tides truth! It’s important to me as you said: “places I like versus places I would return”. Thx indeed
So sorry for your bad experience, I can say zanzibar is more of itself than a tourist attraction except for the beaches so it might be hard for you to get around and find the things that you want so it might have contributed to you feeling tired all the time. But anyways it’s always good to leave an honest review. Karibu tena ❤️. Hopefully when Zanzibar is more livable and easy accessible you can visit again 😊
Oh you ARE Polish? I'm Polish too. Zanzibar may be paradise in some aspects, but there are also many things that make it far from paradise. You didn't even visit Stone Town. Zanzibar is MUCH MORE then just beaches. You didn't really experience Zanzibar at its fullest. You could have just gone to Mauritius, Reunion or Seychelles if you wanted beaches, which are true paradises. That being said, I do appreciate your honest commentary. I didn't watch the rest of the series, but I definitely wouldn't choose Tanzania if you've never been to Africa before. Southern Africa is much better for Westerners.
I completely agree with you. I just left Zanzibar and it somewhat ruined my Tanzania experience. You aren’t a Karen and it’s really frustrating when people follow you and keep harassing you for money. I wish I would’ve kept my stay in Zanzibar to two days instead of 5.
The pple randomly approaching selling stuff could be annoying. Most local pple struggle speaking in English and can be stressful. I understand the traditional feel but i feel most resorts must improve interms infrastructure and furniture by adding a modern touch. Difficult getting supermarkets and great restaurants to dine. Overrally the white sand and beautiful blue waters would be something you will enjoy. The pple are friendly and very safe to travel around. I would honestly say the experience was below my expectations.
Instead of complaining about Zanzibari’s approaching her on the beach, she should appreciate the fact that she’s visiting a country where people have the basic right and freedom to access their beaches. She should acknowledge the fact that in some tourist destinations like Jamaica, the countries ordinary citizens are totally forbidden from access to beaches which are classed as private government territory. ruclips.net/video/GoXJqjiRmEg/видео.htmlsi=aYS1vam__trySE93 Where would you rather be?
I like Tanzania Mainland and hate Zanzibar, the mentality of people is too bad there, they stare at women, approach them when they walk alone, sell drugs on beach. Illiteracy and religion mentality are destroying the island. Its too dirty, overcrowded and they treat dolphins and fishes badly, hitting them, feeding them so they can come on top. Never take private boat tour , I felt so uncomfortable with 5 men on boat(one of them constantly staring in a bad way), even though I was with my husband, that was the most uncomfortable setting, hotel staff was mainly from Tanzania mainland and was so good, I preferred staying there rather than going outside. My Serengeti Safari experience was awesome, but I would encourage people to not go to Zanzibar if they are solo women traveler.
Zanzibar is overcrowded because there are huge population are coming from Mainland where you said you love. Those guys who follow white woman are from Mainland
Yes many of them are fake masai ... I see u have been to Kariakoo market. People will literally grab and drag you to their items so u can buy them 😂😂😂 we locals we just quarrel with them but as a Mzungu you definitely got it worse
I'm going to Zanzibar in a few days! Did you pay taxis with cash or credit card? How much did they usually cost? Would love your input and great video! :)
There are no credit cards in taxis. Have cash with you. Do not offer to pay in $, they'll overcharge you - use local currency. Unless you are going to these big hotels/restaurants or big malls, make sure you have tz shillings everywhere with you.
@Anil Gupta ooh wait, I forgot something. When you use services like Uber and Bolt, you have an option to add credit cards for direct online payment. Though drivers hate it, it's your best shot at paying with a card, and since you are new there, also at a fair price
@@mariamsadick6236 Thank you!! I took your advice and made sure to have enough cash, mostly ate at my resort to save the cash for taxis around the island. You are a lifesaver!
just came back from zanzibar and, apart from stone town, its not worth it. I would rather go to diani, kenya, its much better in my opinion. too many pink people, overcrowded beaches and lack of african girlfirends, you'll need to get one from the mainland. not for me.

Wonderful trip!
Your smile tells it all!

Malaria prophylactic medication gave me odd side effects.
It's a normal thing in Africa and especially East Africa

All Zanzibar has are the beaches...Grotty outside of that..🤔🤨🙄

because getting sick is never positive :p
