With more pratice you would make better and better movies, and the best is the low budget workflow. A.I. make impossible being possible.

As any form of automation we've ever had it will always have its issues, and there's always gonna be room for handcraft. You certainly still see practical effects despite years of having CGI; you may still attend to theater after decades of having films, and for sure you may still order a hand-drawn portrait instead of taking a photograph. Hell, I don't see you complaining about industrial bread and how people who made bread with their own hands lost their job, but for sure this sentiment of rage will only last for a generation

This is really awful, there's no continuity when it comes to the shots, the car appears entirely differently from scene to scene. 0:07 the mirror is the wrong way, the steering wheel isn't correct, and the gauges are off. 0:17 the text on the diner is incoherent. 0:20 the top of the diner which didn't exist in previous shots melts together. 0:22 those neon lights didn't exist before. 0:34 more incoherent text. 0:42 the car has been changed once again and is missing the right rear view mirror. 0:46 a license plate partially appears and there's text on the hood, also missing hood vent. 0:50 added hood vent, removed license plate. 0:53 changed hood vent again and changed license plate, chrome rims also added. i don't really want to watch more of this but this is genuinely terrible, why not just make short films that actually exist? cameras are a very reasonable price and you're not making marvel movies here, like it's not a budget issue. please just go out and make coherent art. this feels soulless.

Hi, I am anti-AI, not fully as I see this progress cannot be stopped, and the best way is to implement it to artist workflow (thinking of it, I am not against AI but against people prompting terms they vaguely understand and feel no shame to sell it, and I hate the unchanged result is considered "art" and promoted as it). AI is not art tool but efficient tool for modern times, not for artists but for creatives. Making short animation for YT takes half a year it not the main job. With AI it can be done in a few days - great for today when someone needs to be seen to be remembered. Too much content on the internet to expect viewers remember creator after half a year. And even if they do, algorithms won't promote it as it is not from "active" channel and have nothing currently popular in the title or hashtags.
It's up to human to make from AI something that counts. I never miss the image was made by AI. But I know lots of people with creative idea but lacking time or endurance to learn 3d/2d/drawing... I saw comics made by some girl - she prompted picture by picture to have the same characters in different positions and with different grimaces. But she added not only text bubbles afterwards but she coloured it as well to make it more plastic, to add it some errors - defects are what is important. The more I see newest AI the less I am afraid for artists future (except for product modelists)
Like your video - it lacks soul. Too perfect to be interesting, too shallow and all faults are too weird to make it nice. But I can imagine some ways to improve it.
How did you do this video? What did you make yourself and what AI did?

    @rodplural 3 месяца назад +1

Since I first watched one of your short films made with AI, about a year ago, I've admired how you deal with the limitations of this technology - Isn't that what makes good, singular art? I can't seem to agree with the accusations of this short being soulless just because it uses AI. Is it because the images are not realistic enough? To me, they look like some sort of CGI, but that was never a problem. Was "Toy Story" soulless back in 1995? Was "Silent Hill" , four years later? It's all human-made narratives conceived through tools we are still getting to know. I was actually caught off guard by how moving and compelling this film was in the way the score interacts with the scenes, specially the now-and-then contrast and the ending, which I felt carried some glimmer of hope. That's, with all due respect, the opposite of soulless to me.
    TLDR: Great work!

    [This is a review/critique]
There's not really anything good to say about this. I'd love to compliment you on anything, but i dont know which decisions are yours and honestly, i can't find anything to compliment other than the technical capabilities.
AI sucks at details. This is a fact. Unfortunately, a lot of filmmaking is IN the details. With something like this, all you get is the broad strokes of "man driving through a zombie apocolypse is driven to suicide by memories of a happier past," but there's nothing else to it because the details are inconsistent or unrealistic. It's entirely surface-level, which is really all it ever could be when you're constricted to generating shots with text prompts.
Then there's the source material. Generally, you want a consistent feel throughout. However, because of how AI works, different prompts will give you results from different source materials. The wide shots of the car driving along the cliff bring me right out of it because they were clearly generated from a *car commercial*, which has VERY different vibes than a zombie apocolypse.
Unfortunately, this is not a good short film. It's a good showcase of t2v gen AI, but it cannot be called a "good film" (i'd hesitate to call it a "short film" at all, and im VERY curious about what your definition of "realistic" is). When animating or filming something, inconsistencies are either accidents or on purpose to provide some kind of meaning. With AI, mistakes are a feature. There's no way to be entirely consistent because each shot is a whole new movie based off its own prompt. This... isn't really condusive for making films.
I think it's sad that the most fun to be found here is to point out the silly mistakes and laugh. Like, where'd the steering wheel go?
Oh also how tf did he get back up the cliff after driving off it?? Was this hell the whole time?? Can he not die???

So you took a bunch of clips generated by an ai,, cut them together, and posted the video. How is this different than a middle schooler mashing a bunch of RUclips videos together on his iPad? You didn’t actually make anything, you told a computer what to make and the computer did everything that that same middle schooler couldn’t do.

    AI Artist Job
Hey fellow viewers, I’m a tech Recruiter in the UK.
Usually specialising in the building blocks of AI, Machine Learning, Data.
But one of my clients is looking for a AI Artist for his entertainment firm.
They specialise in comics, cartoons and interactive games, and throughout the past 20yrs have used traditional “hands on artists”. Now believing that AI is the way forward they’re looking for someone who can use platforms like Runway, Midjourney, etc. (No Coding required).
If you’re interested in a job like this, drop me a reply and we’ll figure out the next steps.

(Caveat) I’ve never used RUclips comments to find candidates for a client… but who’s to say this isn’t the new best way of finding all you talented individuals out there!!

I do get credit, it's right at the end, did you miss it?
I wrote, directed, edited, conceptualized, sound designed it, and instructed the AI models. If AI does it all then surely you can make the next Citizen Kane with it for me by tomorrow!
