This might just be the best sounding free drums I've ever heard. Most of the free libraries out there are more tailored towards metal and modern rock, while there aren't many that suite vintage rock, blues and soul. Love everything Kerwax as well! Fantastic work!
Honestly, with the right compression and such these would even sound great in hard rock and metal.
These kits sound "Real" and "Honest".
You're right, I use these drums, you can also edit them for example the kick you can make them shorter with a gate. Great stuff. @@WinItReigns
As a pro drummer for 35 years now, I can tell these 2 kits are really well recorded! A great and useful addition to the Labs series. Great job and big up to the KERWAX studio !!
Round robins and velocity layers, nice! You're really spoiling is with this one 😁
Fantastic addition to the Labs range. Well done Spitfire Audio.
I've never found anything that could give me the heavy, solid 70s sounding drums I had in my head. And now, here they are, for free. Thank you, thank you thank you! 🥰
Damn, these sound pretty killer. Keep the LABS drums coming... we've got enough pianos, pads, etc.
Haha, that’s what I thought, too
the sound of this library is incredible! and de Louis track "THE CAT MADE ME DO IT" is a masterpice!
These are absolutely insane. The existing Labs drums were already my go-to, for most realistic, and characterful drumkit sounds - these cast a shadow even over that. I can’t wait to use them.
The best things, in life are free, now that I discovered spitfire-BBC.
Thank you guys, really appreciate your hard work and effort to make something of this quality available for FREE! Keep up the good work.
They really sound awesome. 5 round robbins - thank you very much!! And all this for free!
All sounds were recorded so good I don’t wanna eq it. Amazing! thank you guys for all the free labs plugins.
Spitfire Audio is my Santa Claus...and this is the best Christmas gift ever.
perfect sounding library presented in a perfect walkthrough
Labs is awesome 🙌✨
Love the team work ✨
Spitfire Audio Labs inspires lot of people including me🌟
😍🤩OMG! In a split second I had goosebumps listening to this library. You guys are awesome! For me as a drummer, this sound is unbeatable - I thank everyone involved from the bottom of my heart!!! 🙏💖
excellent.. the flexibility of designing grooves in midi with such vintage vibes & built-in saturation. Thank you spitfire! The 2nd rhythm showed in this video is swell ❤❤
This is so exciting! thank you labs for offering such high-quality samples from the heart for free!
I think those are my favorite two drumkits now. Exactly the sound I was looking for! Big thank you to the LABS team! :D
Really great free sample library as usual from LABS. I'm loving these walkthroughs by Louis. Very well done, mate!
Huge thanks, LABS! 🙂
I wasted a fortune on drum loops before discovering this. I haven't got a drum kit but now, with me drumming out the hi-hat groove with a drumstick on my knee and then aligning the hats and adding snare and kick, it sounds like I do. Shift the snare ahead or behind a bit, have separate tracks to eq the kick, snare and hi-hat individually. The best freebie plugin I have ever used.
wow that second kit is…. WOW. you’ve outdone yourselves yet again
The the ongoing quality of LABS releases is just mind boggling. These kits are as good as or better than any of the vintage style paid kits I already own.
Brilliant drums!
Its a MUST to download
It sounds wonderful. Big thank you Spitfire Audio
Amazing stuff. Can't believe this is free.
Every sound that comes out of Spitfire is fire, so inspiring, what a wonderful world of sounds.. the best of the best.. respect 🙏🏽
I loved using the Labroriel kit. Practically replaced the default Logic drums (which are actually really good info themselves, and kinda underrated) for me. This is definite continuing in that vein. I especially loved the toms. Nice and meaty with decent isolation. Doesn't even sound like it needs a lot of treatment to get it sounding good. I also love how the Animal Kit has literal animal skin and it's not just a Muppets reference! XD
Thank you for your amazing results. The kits sound nice and raw and "jazzy" and leave a lot of room for further processing. This is a big advantage over other commercial products. These other kits can mostly be used for one genre due to the heavy use of EQ, compressor, saturation etc.
It would be interesting to know a bit more about which microphones were used and also a bit more about the studio itself and the operator - it really is a very special place.
Sounds amazing! Good job Spitfire and cool video!
What an amazing pair of kits, and an even more amazing bit of sampling / instrument construction!
Great sounding kits!
really appreciate not just the sounds but the teams that youre pulling in to work on and create this x
Thanks alots for LABS free 💙 LABS is amazing 🔥
what about drumkit mapping ? General midi mode or other drums player compatibility ? Great drums !
Beautifully done, I've never owned a Ludwig kit but now virtually can :) thanks !
That's so cool!!! Your first kit sounds great but two kits and with several hat positions and several cymbals....so good! Thank you very much!!!
Y'all are legends.
Really love the Animal snare 🥁
This is what I've been waiting for. Thank you!
Sounds amazing! Can't wait to try it.
Just grabbed it!..........THE most amazing kicks!!. Really inspiring collection! 😉👍
Nice, and yes the grit parameter sounds interesting. ❤
These sound great! I was hoping we’d get more Labs drums at some point
These are amazing, thanks so much.
Real fire, woww!
Both kits sound great. I know labs is free but I really wish the drums had separate outputs for each part of the kit. It's what stops me from using it.
Many thanks to u guys! Ultra-radical drum tones!
Cymbals are always the hardest to get right, it seems. I mean specifically in terms of sounding real enough to fool someone into thinking that it's not just samples. When you can do that, you know you've got a great sounding realistic kit.
Amazing kits!
amazing
sounds so good!
Youz guyz... amazing... thankyou so much.
Sounds fab. Great work So prob being a bit picky but what you call a rimshot sounds more like a side stick. A rimshot involves playing both the snare and rim together. I think yours sounds more like the rim only Hence side stick
No option even now to route the kit pieces to seperate tracks? How am I supposed to compress and EQ just the snare if I have to? The "easy to use" LABS ui is definitely not easy to use for instruments like this. Works great as a tool to write demos but that's about it. In case there exists an option to route the channels to seperate tracks, someone please let me know. Much appreciated
@@wordsSHIFTminds I had done the exact same thing but I was hoping there'd be a way to do this without loading in multiple instances of LABS on each track. Sigh.
You could disable the midi on the hits you dont want and just print it to audio for each piece of the kit?
Amazing amazing AMAZING! ❤️
thanks! It was very easy to understand!
Does the Labs Spitfire Drum Kit support multi-output?
you should visit toerag studio in london. same with the analog only set up.
It's a pity LABS decided to use peculiar mapping for this. To try it out by replacing my existing EzDrummer VSTi, I have to manually adjust so many kit components in the whole song. What a pain!!
Same here... if there’s no way to use e-drums on it, I feel that I will never use these good sounding samples
@@rafaelpachecodasilva6973 The only way I can use it now is to try it on my next new project. The trouble then arises that if it's not suitable, I will have to go back to EzDrummer and edit everything back to it. Such incompatibility has never been the case with other drum software I've tried.
Magic
Fantastic drums!! But who is the player in the video???
can you multi-output ?
Sounds nice but the ability to mix each of the drums separately would be great!
Reaper got me into Labs (Kenny ) then I bought Abbey Road...but damn anyone can do a great record with Labs alone.
Love the Ableton 11 Spitfire Strings too...but now it is 80% of my sounds RMX being the rest.
What's with the split keyboard idea?
Very very nice! Thank you! \m/
I love it 😍
Still no way to have these multi-out?
i love labs
any idea how the diffusion on the wall behind the drums was made?
Goodness gracious, how in the world did you know i was looking for a good drum kit for a rock song? Just how?
Could you route all of those kit pieces into the mixer?
Nice!
Yet another amazing addition to the wonderful libraries. Are the libraries limited to stereo output or is multichannel output available? The ability to further process each individual kit piece in a mix would really send this library over the top.
You could run multiple instances of lab in your daw?
@@sodothehivesonhisleg but that's really inefficient
@@llooaka It is a tedious pain, but once you get the tracks programmed and rendered to audio, it's really nice!!!
@@MatthewSwasta I totally forgot about STEMS but you're right 😁
@@llooaka haha...that doesn't happen very often 😜
For this little exercise I used only virtual instruments contained in LABS: ruclips.net/video/rT93jK0SMLM/видео.html
Michas Choir
Cello Moods
Classic Brass
Strings: Ensemble
Strings: Short
Percussion
Piano Pads: Glass 1 (as sub-bass)
Wow.. it sounds amazing!
By the way, you saying "rim shot", but it's actualy a rim click.
thanks!
anyone know if EZ Drummer midi will work with this?
Stupid question:
What are “roughs”?
Great
Just like Bonham.
Thanks Spitfire! Is it possible to use this with an electronic drum kit? Can’t wait to get home and download this!
Should work if you can control "which drum is which midi note" on the kit (or in the plugin to match the kit I guess)
I can’t make it work at all. The plugin looks so limited... there’s no Learn function. Can someone send us any tips on that? I’m using Logic
@@rafaelpachecodasilva6973 Are you able to use other VST instruments?
@@metallsnubben yes. All my drums vsts like addictive drums, ezdrummer and Kontakt libraries are working fine with my e-drums
@@rafaelpachecodasilva6973 And with those you never had to do any manual remapping of the notes on either side?
This reminds me that I have some great drum sounds that I can use…..
Wow. 👌
Thx
Aaaaaaaaand download.
does Labs have multiple outputs? seems like the elephant in the room.
Slaps!
1:24 “I’ll show you just what that sounds like in a little bit.” Why in a little bit? It’s open right there. Show it now.
Quite nice kids for a few drums dang
I wish it would work on Linux :(
FREE? No way in 2024 😩
Too much decay and room sound. A more dry / dampened recording would have been more useful
0:51 Watch the video first, before making rookie mistakes...
@@AngeloBetrulas Rookie mistakes? I have downloaded and used the library! Its definitely not a dry recording. I'm not talking about the additional reverb, but the room reverbation inherent to the recording of the samples. I guess you are the rookie in our scenario!
@@esahm373 Nope. Only a rookie would download something, not researching or realising what it is or contains. Only a rookie would then publicly admit it. Massive own goal!
@@AngeloBetrulas You sound mentally unstable!
Okay. The kit sounds great. But why didn’t you get someone who knows how to program drums 😄
Stupid question:
What are “roughs”?
