I've been meaning to make something like this (although once i get the funds+time even MORE overengineered/complicated)! Great video, i will definetly build upon your work!
wow very cool! I'd love to see the schematics for this project. You'd 100% be featured on the front page of thingiverse Questions for you: why use the Ikea drills instead of a DC regular pump?
yeah I hope so! Thank you I'll be working on this as soon as I have spare time again :). And since they are always the same and always in stock :) and the battery and charger are all included
Awesome project! It should be noted that copper becomes toxic when in contact with acidic solutions so I think you would do better by dropping the silicone in the bottle instead :)
Yeah I wasn't to keen on the copper as well. Thanks for mentioning it again. I said in my video that ideally the rods should be made of 316 stainless steel :)
Yeah all the old water pipes here in the netherlands are made of copper. I was unfortunately not able due to the pandemic to pick up and bend some stainless at my parents house, hence the copper still bit if release the plans I'll make sure to point this out that only silicone or 316 stainless should be used
@@PattysLab You're lucky in that case, my pipes (also the Netherlands) are largely lead ;) In any case, copper by itself is perfectly safe to drink basic fluids from, it's acidic fluids that make it dangerous. And the worst thing is that you don't notice anything until it's too late.
@@WoLpH they will eventually change out the lead for plastic. And about the copper I'll try to get the stainless 💪🏻💪🏻 so it's save for acidic drinks aswell
Great project. You are the only one that I have seen using the silicone stoppers. I tried searching for that stopper, but can't find ones like you have in your video. Do you have the actual name or a link to them? Thanks!
While the drill parts provide a lot of torque, they do create waste from case and other parts not being used, and are noisy. I was thinking that even an 8-bit 3D printer board with some TMC2208 drivers would be much quieter and easily allow four or five pumps. I'd love to have something that I could grab some cold water from the fridge, place it under the dispenser, and have it place my desired combination of lemon and lime juices into the water for me. Quiet, space saving, and quick (if I could place it in the fridge and have the water dispensed at the same time) with a nice interface are the qualities I'd be looking for.
@@Qub1tus steppers are really weak compared to DC motors even a normal nema 17 large version couldn't make it with the large hose. But perhaps with a gearbox 🤔
@@joelterrero6689 I'll be releasing all the plans code and the models in the future I have not worked out all the bugs and I also want to improve the pomp's comparability with different motors
I was thinking of maybe using Gravity to let the drinks flow into the glass instead of pumps and use Fluid servos to Control the flow. Or at least change the DC motors of the pump for steppers
@@PattysLab Thank you so much for the reply! It seems crazy to me that you made by far the best and most potent DIY peristaltic pump on the internet and you advise against using these pumps. Saw that your files were remixed for a NEMA23 but all the pumps with NEMA23 seem to be quite weak - I doubt they managed to pump 7l/min. So I'm going for the gravity assist :) Like a servo clamping on a silicon tube?
@@a1xon It's like you red my mind I was thinking of clamping the Silicone tube as well. One small thing you need some sort of air vent in the bottle or some sort of air inlet else no liquid will flow out ;). Maybe a better idea is to still use the pumps for bottles that are hard to mount upside down. You could also use the pumps and the sevos to pick the Silicone lines and make a multiway valve so you need fewer pumps.
really don't understand what the machine is trying to do here, replace the pour method? Surely its easier just to pour the required amount from the bottles!!! ????
Comment your favourite drink!!
Ps: like WoLpH commented acidic drinks an copper are a bad combo
vodka
Impressive work, keen for the follow up video and files :)

Awesome to hear I will make a follow up video and release the plans perhaps you can use some of the code or parts :)
This video is really amazing and inspiring!! By any chance will you release the code for your machine?
Wahey, he's back! Well done - you finished a project!
Yeah man it took so long messing with the code etc perfecting the interface and redesigning the lever so it worked well with the new hall sensor :)

Fav drink is probably: licor 43 & milk or bacardi & cola
Pretty awesome. I might have to build one too. LoL.
Gin and tonic. Great video 👍

Nice, but to avoid cleaning, upside down bottle push-release valves might be better.

I would like to see the technical video

Good stuff!
Realy nice Work !!!
My Drinks :D :
Jacky, Coke
Havana, Coke
CaptainMorgan or BarcadiOakheart, Coke
Gin Tonic
So we need more Motors and Mixingtypes :D
I think Shortcutbutton and a fix liquid amount (for shots 2cl(Girlsize) 4cl) woulf be even better.. but its hard to calibrate i think...
For that I might need to switch to a geared stepper motor but more motors and more combinations should be possible and more fun 👌🏻
Yes good idea a pancakesteper would fit perfectly.. but it boost the cost very fast :D

so cool
nice! i planing year ago do something like this...but my project dont moving after one tube for shot
