You must press ARM first !!! Why, you are checking if the ARM switch depressed is sensing the Left or Right Esstial DC bus has less than 20 volts (even momentarily) !!! Don't be displaying a bad habit others might pick up. This is life and death proceedures written in orther peolple's blood.
Big no no with regards to powering 'All On' then selecting Iridium off. This causes the SIU to reset to factory settings thus causing the phones not to work in the cabin. If you do select 'All On' do not turn off Iridium until 5 mins later.
Ironically, it was the Gulfstream Entry Into Service tech who showed us how to energize this plane when we first got it. He selected “All On” and immediately deselected all the miscellaneous masters, including the iridium. Can’t imagine how many calls the Fastteam got because of this lol
If you press WARN INHIBIT above the MASTER WARN button, you can mute almost all of those caution chimes while you are on the ground
