Finally someone who uses a diesel for a track. I have 2012 MK6 and I was getting depressed for buying a diesel even though I love the looks of the car. Just because diesel is considered to be at dissadvantage when it comes to racing because of the lower RPM, lower top speed and higher engine and fuel weight. Hearing you say it's your track car brings joy. I will go out and drive my MK6 tonight, and stop worrying about my engine's fuel type.
Definitely would love to see a follow up after a few thousand mile/km, I have a cheap setup that I've made work decently but I can tell you there's a fine line between catching crud and causing too much pressure which obviously causes other issues. The sweet spot I've found collects very little compared to previous vehicles so I'm curious to see what a much better designed can will do. Glad to see the car is good otherwise
ive been looking for a catch can guide for ages, nobody does it. I've seen the forum post you mentioned but he didnt explain anything very well and there was no bracket available lol
If you mount it somewhere cool and live in a climate where it dips below freezing, you are going to create additional crank case pressure by having a literal ice block form in your catch can so
The logic of mounting them somewhere cool is to condense the oil vapor, if it doesn't have time to cool sufficiently you're not accomplishing anything. Frankly, I think most of the bodies of these units are too short
Hey i just finished installing a catch on my 95 m3 and I wanted to put one on my brothers 2020 vw Tiguan 2.0T and I know very little about the differnces and similarities of the vw engines, so would the fitting adapter you used be the same for our vw ?
For the TDI it's a bit different, I have another video with my A3 (White audi hatchback) from I think last year that uses similar fittings that can be found on ECS - I would just check that link and see if it's compatible with the new Tiguan (I think it's a new PCV system on that EA88 so it may not)
On my 2013 gtd mine points towards the back of the car & my oil cap is on the other side of the engine would this adapter still work for my car? Sorry if dumb question, new to vws and diesels
I'm sure it would if the PCV outlet is in the same location, and then maybe mounting with the same bracket may be different! I would just refer to an engine bay photo of a CKRA and reference the CJAA locations for both!

Love my mk 6 gtd manual. The manual makes it a lot of fun with the torque. Got a diesel chip on mine also.

I've been running a small filter on the PVC. Works a treat
Definite yes on a follow up video! Am very happy to see you've got this thing broken in and well underway for some fun!
Love golf videos, own stock GTD golf 6 and enjoying it
Catch can link is down. FYI. Thanks as always for the videos!
Fixed !!!

There is a guy on a Facebook TDI forum saying the exact opposite and says to mount it somewhere cool. He is also in Canada.

Just have mine with a hose routed under the car venting.
What did you do with the catch can when you installed the cp3? The cp3 does not use the aux pump at all... it can be removed completely.
Was wondering the same thing. I was assuming the catch can just mount in the old bracket for the aux pump
Your intake, is it custom made of bought ? I'm thinking of doing something similar for the mk6 Jetta TDI.
3:12 it's a c-clip but my dad called them jesus clip because well 3:23 when that happens you say "holy jesus!" and then say a prayer to find it
This is a good analogy haha

It's a cfgb engine I've figured out, would this pcv adapter work foe my engine?
Hello, what material is the silver under the bonnet?where can i get it?, regards from Spain
Reflective heat tape! Amazon Carrie’s it
Will the PCV adapter work on a ‘15 Golf TDI? CRUA engine code
If the PCV adapters are all the same should be good to go!
Would these intake adapters work on an Audi 2.0 TDI engine?
That’s what this entire setup is on so yes…
will this kit work with the Beaty cover over the engine?
Most likely not, you’d have to modify it or extend the studs for the engine cover
The like doesn't work for the catch can?
Updated! Should be working now
where did you buy it?
Look in the description
Why answer with a non-answer?
@knolez1546 the answer is the link in the description?
MACH JESUS 😂😂😂
Would this kit work on the ckra’s ?
