Shameless Idealists: Rick Hansen

Celebrated athlete, dedicated social innovator and man committed to making a difference, Rick Hansen is best known as the Man In Motion. 25 years ago Rick established the Rick Hansen Foundation (RHF) to continue his journey towards an inclusive society, and a cure for spinal cord injury (SCI).
Through his namesake Foundation and Institute, Rick raised over $280 million for SCI research and accessibility initiatives across Canada. His efforts improve quality of life for newly injured individuals and increase support for those living with SCI. Rick strives to inspire a new generation to join him in creating a healthy and sustainable world where all can contribute in a meaningful way.
