I bought the Omni-Terminator Carbon Fiber and it quickly became my favorite RC for a quick bash on road or off. All the components seem high quality, in 3 weeks of bashing I've only replaced the wheelie bar screws. BTW the Carbon fiber Edition has a stronger body, the Metal Edition has a PVC body and the Carbon one has a PC body. I reinforced mine and it has held up so far.
I have to say this has to be one of the best non big brands rc trucks I have ever gotten.. I got the carbon fiber edition.. love it ! I have over 10 arrmas and 5 losis.. and out of all of them love love this thing!!! Looks great and great handling.. good job rlaarlo
Like others have mentioned, the carbon fiber version has the better more durable body. It also comes with spiral cut gears compared to the aluminum that has regular diff gears. Great video as always, as soon as I got the notification for this I had to watch it!
I have been bashing mine for a few weeks now and all I have done so far was bent a shock screw but like you said easy fix and the bend was my fault. I have the cf version and with a bigger battery and higher speed gear I was able to get 46...not bad for a small basher! Great review and video!
New company, yes, but I think they're doing a good job including alot of stuff in the box that people might need. Plus, they cars work pretty good! Nice vid buddy!
Nice review, Greg! I have had my Omni Terminator Carbon for about a week now, and I really like it. The build quality is impressive, and it is super fun to bash. I never would have considered a Rlaarlo product in the past, but I happened to watch some reviews from other RUclips channels when it first came out, and I came away very impressed. I held off on getting one until I could order from Amazon since I had heard Rlaarlo customer service isn't great. The only thing that surprised me when I first tried it out is that it does traction roll pretty easily on high grip surfaces. I hadn't seen that mentioned anywhere. But other than that, I really like the truck. I hope the long-term durability and parts availability are there. I'll definitely be keeping a closer eye on their new releases.
As some other people have commented, the company itself isn't great. IF you decide to buy it get it from Amazon or another middleman company, that way you have some form of protection. My experience their warranty or anything they say isn't worth the paper it's written on. I'd be very careful with this company. Great looking rc from a shady company, it's a shame.
You must put shock stand offs on it… and the wheelie bar screws need a bigger better screw. I drilled mine out and used bigger steel screws. I’m going to order an upgraded wheelie bar as soon as I can. I get 44 mph on the speed pinion (carbon fiber edition) and it’s on rails with the gyro on 30%
I have the Carbon version. I love it. One thing about the size saying 1/10 LOL - They are coming out with a 1/7 scale crawler too which I imagine should be really closer a real 1/10 size.
The green body is only pvc, the black body a polycarbonate, the shock stand off bolts need replacing with tougher 12.9 hex Allen bolts. Common failure is the stock stand off bolts breaking or bending.
Agree on body issues-lost a piece of the rear on day 1. Would love some body options or compatible bodies that could be adapted. Great truck otherwise! 😎
I'd recommend the cf roller and a cheap 4s capable 10BL Hobbywing combo with a Dumbo tx/rx. The truck is great, suspension is awesome but the electronics are undersized for 3s.
I have the Carbon version I never even used the stock battery I’ve been using batteries with a higher cell count & it’ll wheelie but overall it’s been fun to drive & although I haven’t had it on any bigger jumps the smaller ones so far have shown it has jumping skills.
I got this truck. And it was my favorite but than countless problems after much use. They are great for the price. That’s the main point for the price not as great as the more expesive truck and I got the carbon
Hi mate check your differentials because they will be low on oil. I've got the Carbon fiber model RZ001B-C. Antenna tip dropped off because of no ariel support tube. Try getting another receiver I put GT5 controller. Take the wheelie bar off and screws are a big problem Great video mate 👍 😂
Cool little truck might not be for me but definitely a cool truck...I'm sure it's pretty affordable..you probably mentioned it but I was paying attention to the fun stuff!!!!!
This is very impressive, especially for a newer smaller company! Imagine what they will be like a couple years from now . Always nice to have more options!
Hi there. 1. I have a new Reedy 3660/3200 kv motor taken off a Rival MT10. Would that be appropriate for this car? 2. Has somebody found another body that would fit ? Thank you.
Been eyeing the Carbon Fiber version since it's release. Only thing holding me back is that the wife wants me to sell one of my others amd everyone who is supposed to buy my TLR 22-4 Buggy keeps backing out last minute 🤦🏽♂️
I like mine (CF rtr) but the thing gets HOT. Even with both fans working the chassis gets hot to the touch after 1 battery. I haven't even swapped to the speed pinion yet. Also on grass it traction rolls a lot. Did everyone get a Rlaarlo banner thing? I didn't notice one in mine but i was in a hurry also. It's a decent truck but not perfect. I'm gonna put in the 10 BL combo i ordered with it to solve the heat issue. I think they went to small with the motor/esc and over geared it. Overall i think it's great and priced appropriately. The Granite on sale for $259 when this was about to ship was a better deal for a bigger, faster truck in my opinion
Mine lasted 3 weeks before the cheap bearings, CVDs, & dog bones bent and diffs exploded, just like the Rlaarlo Dessert buggy. They are great with first impressions then it all goes downhill, especially for a basher. I have better luck with the MJX Hyper Go vehicles. Have better luck with longevity with them. I would also save you money and get the Team Associated Rival MT10. It's bigger and tougher. and not much more for a proven platform. Rlarrlo also has a habit of blaming the customer for their own defects. They have a good marketing team because 30 reviews come out simultaneously from the same channels. lol
I like the effort put into them and the design. I see reports of supply problems which is of course an issue. But it could just be growing pains which will hopefully get sorted out sooner rather than later.
I wanted to get one of these for my nephews, but tomely’s post about not getting parts for a month makes me worried they would break it and have to wait weeks to drive it again. Although we are in the states so maybe parts are easier to get the the UK.
That’s the slow one☹️… I got the carbon fiber edition with the bigger motor, better remote, and a gyro… it’s so much nicer than my buddies aluminum edition… DO NOT move your esc! There are plenty of 3s-4s batteries that fit without making your truck look like shit..
I agree 100% there's so many shorty batteries out there.. I just purchased two zeee 4400 MAH 3S 120C batteries that are actually shorter than the batteries that came with it.
It looks like it’s set up better than the max slash out of the box that’s for sure and that’s a $700 RC. People take note of this company. Looks like they’re selling quality and set up out of the box the way we like it.
The third time that the battery fell out it quickly burned the beast to the ground and the brush fire was not fun. Also not fun was paying a big fine for starting the fire. Maybe " Safety third" is bad policy where batteries are concerned or a great policy for the death to America crowd? At least I still have those sweet diff gaskets 🤘🥳
Great review as usual, just wish you would tell us the motor size not just Kv. A 2000Kv 3650 isnt the same as a 2000Kv 4268. Just nit picking, bloody Australians!
Everyone trashing Rlaarlo needs to remember they are a fairly new company. If this were Arrma or Traxxas that truck would be 450$. Even my Arrma Tlr has shittier shock stand offs then this truck, oh and both Arrma and Traxxas have shitty customer service. Give Rlaarlo a little more time and they will be a contender
Rlaarlo makes some decent stuff but have THE level worst customer service of any offshore company I have ever bought from. I will never buy another product from them because of that.
I’d agree but I’d say good products bad customer service & there customer service is at a point of almost no service.😂 The Terminator is my second Rlaarlo I’m still waiting on my 17mm wheel mounts but it’s still very unclear which wheels to use with them & any questions to customer service go unanswered but they did answer back after I provided my order # & said the 17 mm would ship & id get an email well still no email they seemed kind of surprised & apologized I do know others are waiting as well.
@@Casitascrawlers Between three orders it was 2 carbons, one brushless, and a roller. I guarantee all the haters are are Arrma/Traxxas cheerleaders still in highschool, bitching about blown out diffs because they dont even know how to remove or maintenance them😂😂😂

Rlaarlo are killing it with their releases. I have the same version.
CF version does have a lexan body however.
I Loved it as you did.
Great vid 👍🏼

I’d say you’re right as a first time buyer myself , something happened . It s a story for another time
Always love to hear about new, capable brands! :)
Good mention about the body, now Im gonna shoe goo and dry wall tape it when I get mines

Use a mini torch on locktight screws before trying to remove
Yes it does work
Is the charger included?
The carbon version comes with a lexan body

Great cars. Shitty business practices... I had one experience with them, which was more than enough.
I also had an experience 😂
What type of battery charger does it use?

Having a hard time not buying this thing. I got the H14bm awhile back and wish I’d waited. It’s fast as hell but uncontrollable.
How can I set steering end points
That thing is pretty capable.

100% agree. Customer service and shipping time is terrible 😣 Only spent money in marketing and nothing in good Experience🥵
I got charged an extra $40 shipping fee remote location . Not sure why
For an Rc company to be featured on this channel it must be doing something right. I own a couple of Rlarrlos and I like them!
I like the effort put into them and the design. I see reports of supply problems which is of course an issue. But it could just be growing pains which will hopefully get sorted out sooner rather than later.
This truck reminds of the new Traxxas Stampede truck. The Rlaarlo truck looks smaller and probably less expensive. Thoughts?
I haven’t played with any other RC since mine got here!!

What do the parts availability looking like?
This i am curious about too.
I think with it being this cheap it should be a problem. But you never know.
From videos I've seen it's been a major issue. Some people have been waiting months for parts even going to other releases they've had.
@@Popitforchrist it will get better, but at the moment, it sounds a bit of a mess. Im hearing worse horror stories about other r/c companies, though

It's not even half the size and third the power. So please relax!
More quality battery fires than the more expensive brands. Take note of that funstrap system🙈 quality?
Reminds me of a kid named Max, but everything is done.
Easy battery issue fix. Put the battery under both layers of the strap instead of on top of it.
Get the black body the carbon fiber version
Rlarro OT vs Associated 14MT:
-which is more ‘fun’ to you?
-what’s the biggest driving difference between them?
Also the battery is not so good, ppl switched the battery and it went faster (also the speed switch)
I wish they wouldn’t have called it a mini 1/10 and called it a 1/12 like it is anyways.
Front bulk head broke on mine customer service was horrible to deal with I sent it back to amazon for a full refund
The third time that the battery fell out it quickly burned the beast to the ground and the brush fire was not fun. Also not fun was paying a big fine for starting the fire.
