Great video, and your instructions are very clear; good to have inset small view from the side too! Looks very laborious and slow; makes me think I’d probably hand stitch... 😳
@@crochetlover1880 If you mean hand stitching (manually) then just going back through the same holes in the opposite direction through the holes and then come back so there is 3 layers of thread. If you mean manually on the machine, that depends on the machine. One way is to turn the wheel, that controls the needle, backwards a few stitches, and then forward a few again. Some machines, most newer ones, have a reverse button or lever you press to make it go backwards. Basically, a hand sewn and machine sewn backstitch are different but it is just to lock the stitches into place. An embroidery backstitch is also different but could be used if sewing the sequin by hand. I hope that is what you were asking about. Thank you for watching!
Hi, this video gave me correct idea, as to how to stitch Loose sequins. I have few coloured sequin packets, wondering , how sew them. Thanks a lot. One of my saree is half finished, as I frustrating , sitting by hand , for hours . Now, after seeing your video, I got confidence, that, I can finish my saree.,sewing them by machine.❤😊
@NanaT2016 For this video I was just using regular all purpose home machine sewing thread, I like Gutermann and Coats & Clark threads. Depending on the project, I also use clear filament.
@LaadeeV I am still using them without issues. I have a few favorites that I use a lot but there are several I don't use at all because I don't need them.
Hi. Great tutorial! Thank you! I was wondering re the loose sequins if using a teeny amount of washable fabric glue to hold them in place to stitch them would be a viable option?
Fabric glue can harm certain fabrics so test first. Setting it up and letting the glue dry first, if glue test is ok, could be an option. What I've learned over the years is there is more than one way to do things. If it works for you and your comfortable with it, then do it. ☺
Gracias el tip de poner pegamento en la cinta de lentejuela de goma para poder contarla y los tisp para poder coser, todo es muy genial para unas mangas verdad de un vestido. Gracias
I love those things and use them a lot. They are called Magic Clip and they come in different sizes. Here is a link to the big ones in the video. I bought mine years ago so hope they are still making them the same. amzn.to/3T5WcvJ
Good question as my phone wasn't the best camera. The 'cups' are up on the edges to catch the light and reflect. There may be an optical illusion that makes it look as though they are cupped down. They can be turned down depending on the look you want.
LOL! Thank you and sorry about that. I had a very country upbringing so I don't always pronounce things the 'correct' way. This isn't the first time someone has corrected me on how to pronounce something. :)

Can be! I've hand stitched a lot. Thank you for watching and commenting!
@@QueenBee1755 hello.
Thank you so much for your very helpful videos. How do you back stitch manually?

Are these presser feet (52 piece set) still holding up for you? I am curious about their durability.
@LaadeeV I am still using them without issues. I have a few favorites that I use a lot but there are several I don't use at all because I don't need them.
Thanks 👍❤️💥💥💥💥💥

You are welcome and thank you for watching and for all your comments! Happy sewing!
I think I would rather hand sew sequins bit thanks for your video!
Me too 😆 Thanks for watching!
Beautiful , so what size was your needle
I think I was using a 70
Are the sequins 4mm or 6mm wide?
@winningnumbers That video was several years ago so I am not sure but I think they were 6mm.
What are those clips called you used for the stretch ribbon sequin?
I love those things and use them a lot. They are called Magic Clip and they come in different sizes. Here is a link to the big ones in the video. I bought mine years ago so hope they are still making them the same. amzn.to/3T5WcvJ
Are those sequins upside-down?

Thank you QueenBee1755! Take care. Mary
👍🏻😍😍😍
Great video but you're making me nuts calling them sequences. It's sequin and sequins. Not sequence and sequences :)
