I have bought the 62 pcs presser foot this month. and I am very happy to find your video tutorials. Hope to see more videos for my sewing reference. Thanks.
thank you for these tutorials. This is exactly what I needed after buying a 72 piece set ( which is a lot of similar feet.) I'm excited to start using them!
Hey you probably already figured it out judging by the video's data: These presser feet comes with an extra universal "adapter" connection that makes it stable =))) Thanks for the vid !!
You are correct, the set does come with a 'holder' as a convenience for machines that do not have a snap-in holder already. Since my machine already had one, I have not tried it. So you may be correct about it fitting the feet better. But I do know the needle position of different machines can be slightly different (pic in community posts) so each should be checked for alignment before sewing. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Great video, thanks! Does this braiding foot able to sew RUSSIA BRAID/SOUTACHE ? And if not, can you tell me which foot is good for russia braid or soutache? thanks!
Thank you for your comment. It should work on soutache depending on how wide it is. A wide open toe foot or satin foot may also work well but may need a little more gentleness since the foot may not have a groove on the underside to help guide it.
Your demos are very informative. Thank you! Have you tried ruffling any ribbons into a design like hair, poodles, or to show any textures? I have a lot of feet that I need to practice with. :)
Thank you! And I have not had a chance to make that kind of video yet. I do have footage for a couple more videos but haven't had time to edit them together with my busy schedule. Thank you for the video :) I have several different sewing machines (Brother, Janome, Singer), do i have to buy seapare feet for each of them? that's a lot of money... Also I see generic presser feet on Amazon all the time, are they bad if they're not branded?
@get2craft I also have several different machines. These feet fit my Singer and Brother and some fit the Janome. However, some do NOT fit my Janome (please see the image I posted in the community tab to see what they do). These are, in my opinion, generic universal feet I bought from Amazon. I have been using these feet since 2018 without any issues; not sure if they are made they same way now. In the description area of this video ( ruclips.net/video/opdqk_IrRtQ/видео.html ) I list several tools (including these feet) that I use. The links are old so I'm not sure if everything listed is still available, but check that out.
I agree that is one way, and thank you for the comment. Part of the reason mine puckers and skips stitches from time to time is because of all the hours of wear I have on it without any maintenance. I think this machine has about 10,000 run hours on it.
Once the braiding foot is down with pressure foot , it does not move to distort the stitch, , hence I think it is designed to move and adjust that way .
Thank you!! I think that would be fun to do and I may try to later. I've been keeping records of viewers' requests for future videos. My job keeps me away for 2-8 months a year then I'm so busy playing catch up when I am home, it's hard getting videos made. Thank you for watching and commenting!!
I remember you made the extra presser foot holder narrower to accommodate a new presser foot you bought...is it possible thats the one you had on mashine that made this one loose?
It is true I was going to do that, but I was so busy all year I never got around to it. That foot is a little loose but has worked every time I've use it so far. Now I'm working away from home while my family is getting stuff ready for moving, so I haven't been able to make any new videos, This has really hurt my channel. Thank you so much for continuing to watch and comment!
What thread do you use on , please, is it a transparent one which is very fine. .? And what needle would you use to sew a rather thick transparent plastic
You can use either. I prefer a regular color match thread when possible (mainly, needle and bobbin will be 2 different colors), but can use both. Reason is, even with a netting of the clear thread, it still has a tenancy to tangle more, esp. when sewing very fast. Your needle should be able to easily accept the size thread you are using so it passes freely through the needle eye. However, this needs to be balanced with the fabric you are using. Ex. You wouldn't want a very large needle going thru a delicate fabric. I hope that helped.
I bought the 52 piece set so I'm not sure what comes in the 32 one. If it said that foot should be in there, I'd reach out to the seller and ask about it.
They are advertised as "for Brother Singer Viking White Janome etc Low Shank Sewing Machine". They work with my brother but not all work with my Janome (plz see my community posts to see why - there is a pic). So I'm not sure how they would do with your machine.
I have not tried them on a singer. They are 'universal' feet but you know how that goes. They all fit my Brother and most fit my Janome, but not all. I have a video of the manual but for some reason it didn't upload as clear as I would like. Hopefully someone here with a Singer can add info to this.
The needle was new and the parts are lubricated, but yes, my poor machine has a ton of VERY hard hours on it. I have ran things through it, for work, that was never meant to be ran though a standard home sewing machine. So parts are just wearing out.
The set I bought came with a snap attachment for machine that do not have that already. The feet are 'universal' but I can't say if they would fit or not. There are also smaller sets, or were at the time I bought this one, if you don't want to spend money on a large set trying it out. I'm not sure if the snap adaptor would be in the smaller sets so be sure to read a list of what comes in it first.
I do not currently own an industrial. I have a home Brother machine. I have recently purchased a Janome home machine as well. After my job is over and I can make another video, I'll try to cover how they work on that one as well.
That is a good question because it depends on the machine. Mine (and I believe most newer machines) 2.0 means 2mm. However, some older machines, the number may mean how many stitches per inch.
I don't have any in stock at the moment but I will put that on my to-do list. I have already started another video but haven't had time to finish it yet. I will try to make that one after it. Thanks for watching!

You need to LENGTHEN your stitch to prevent puckering when using anything thick like cording or braiding.
