I’ve seen so many videos saying “this video is so easy to understand “ and they weren’t. THIS is genuinely the only video I’ve understood so far whilst trying to make a palazzo and made my first one with this video after various fails! Thank you so much!!
I’m excited about this cos I’ve been going through people’s palazzo cuttin and I don’t like how they look or they use pictures that don’t belong to them but I like how yours is sitting on you, so I’m hopeful 🤞🏻
Hello, thank you for this teaching. I gain a lot from your video. Continue doing this. You are a good teacher. I like your patience and teaching. Good job! God will continue to give you wisdom and understanding.
All I can say is a big Thank you 🙏❤. Ahhh, at long last, I can now confidently sew a beautiful palazzo without hitches here and there. May God bless you d more for impacting in some of us. I have subscribed already and I will soon watch and download ur Blazers tutorial cos I believe its loaded. God bless you again and again Teepha 🥰❤️💯.
You're welcome 😊. The back will be longer than the front from the waist up. This is to help accommodate the butt and prevent the but from showing when we bend over.
Yes She did mentioned it, saying she forgot to sew the dart but the palazo came out well. You can sew the dart and you can also not sew it the fittings will come out well.
forgot to sew the dart, which is why my sewing allowance increased from 1 inches to 1.5 inches. I would recommend that you sew your dart. It helps you get a better fitting.
Aameen 😊. The difference is that you will input your knee and ankle measurements, instead of just marking what you have on you thigh straight down to the hem like I did @6:04 to @6:12.
@@SewWithTeepha omg,ur gifted to teach your explanation is so so perfect very clear .I learn and teach .you might not really know or u know ur really touching life's u cool down to share ur knowledge God bless you greatly, advertise u, promote u ,I wish u good health, happiness , success n joy Amen.
Hi Teepha great tutorial. You didn't tell as your measurements. How did you come by the length of your hipline and crotch is there any basic calculation to achieve them. Then you measured 3" down from your crotch line. Is it the standard measurement?
Thank you 😊. My hip measurement is 42 inches, and waist is 30 inches. I got my hip length length by tying a measuring tape around my waist, exactly where my pants will start from, and measure from the side of my waist down the widest part of my hip. For the crotch, have your client sit properly on a flat surface (chair), with their back straight and their feet touching the floor. From the tape tied around the waist, measure all the way down until your tape touches the surface of the seat, and that will be your crotch length. The 3-inch extension around the crotch is a standard for medium size, use 2.5 inches for small size, and 3.5 for a large size
Place your front pattern on the back pattern and extend the crotch for the back by 2.5 inches for small size and 3 inches for medium size. Like I did from 7:22 to 8:00. I hope you understand 😊.
Please anytime I sew my trouser, after sewing both the front and the back crotch ,the back waist usually wider than the front waist . Please can you help me on that ?
That's probably because you added more to the back pattern. Pay attention to the video from @8:22 . I reduced the back from the crotch by 2 inches and added it back at the hip side, which will make both front and back waist the same. But it's ok for the hip part and the rest of the back pattern to be wider than the front.
Thanks alot I love u teaching , please apart from sitting on a flat chair to get ur crotch measurement ,is dere another way to get the crotch line thanks
I believe there's a way to calculate your crotch length using your hip measurement, but i would recommend having your client sit, as this would help you get the most accurate measurement and also prevent the crotch area becoming too tight when there sit.
The zipper is at the back of the pant. I didn't add a zipper allowance because I used the same allowance that I joined the back crotch with, as my zipper allowance. I hope you understand 😊.
I love the Pant and fit but I have a question, at the back pattern crotch why was your extension 3 inches please can reply so I can know if the 3 inches is a common or fixed measurement. And how you arrived at the 3 inches
@3:52, I divided what I had at my crotch area by 4, and I had 2.9 inches. I approximated that to 3 inches, which I used as my crotch extension. I will also add that 3 inches extension again to the back. I hope you understand 😊.
I added 2 inches hemming allowance to the bottom part of the pant when drafting the pattern @2:45. Then @15:20, I folded the hem with ½ inch first, then folded it again with 1½ inches. So ½ inch + 1½ inches = 2 inches. I hope you understand 😊.

I noticed you added dart allowance while cutting, but you didn't talk about it while sewing
Exactly I was wanting for her to talk about it.
Was a response ever provided?
I think she used the dart for zip
@@anthonynwakaego9446no she didn’t because she added zip allowance when cutting
She did say she forgot about dart. Bet she took it in 1.5" on each side

Amazing tutorial🎉🎉 You didn't sew in the dart allowance? Is there a reason for that please?
Thank you 😊. I just decided not to sew the dart, there was no reason for it. You can sew your dart if you want to.
Can i use 2inches allowance while cutting the back for a plus size person? Will the back length be same size with the front length for her too🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

I don’t recall seeing where you address actually marking the darts for which you made the allowance. Can you advise?
Where did you fit in the darts because you never mentioned it in the video
Yes She did mentioned it, saying she forgot to sew the dart but the palazo came out well. You can sew the dart and you can also not sew it the fittings will come out well.

thanks ma'am 😊 i made mine it came out beautiful but the leg was too wide can I go in at the length more if yes how many inches should I use
Yes, you can. It's up to you and how slimmer you want it. You can do 1 inch on both sides.
Thank you so much, please the 1inch you added at the back is it standard?
You can add more that one inch
Thanks for the response, for a plus size person how many inches can i add to the back pattern

Ma how about the dart allowance you added?
She should have sewn in the dart . But I think she changed her mind hence the reason why she omitted it. I hope that’s clear enough please 🙏🏾
I forgot to sew my dart in this tutorial 🤭. Make sure to sew your dart in, as it helps you get a smooth fitting.
I just subscribed 😊
Thank you 😊
Am always confused on how you get the sewing allowance for the inner thigh?
You divided your 1/4 hip cir. to arrive at your front crotch ext. Now my question is how did you determine that of the back pls.
Place your front pattern on the back pattern and extend the crotch for the back by 2.5 inches for small size and 3 inches for medium size. Like I did from 7:22 to 8:00. I hope you understand 😊.
@@SewWithTeepha ok, I do, tanx

Thank you dear. So can l cut men's trouser the same way l cut this?? Or Men's boxers?
Yes you can, but there will be some adjustments to it. The zipper will be at the front with a zipper fly, and the length will be ankle length long.

Why is it that after joining your croch will fall it won't be straight
Is the zip at the back or front and I didn't see where u include zipper allowance
The zipper is at the back of the pant. I didn't add a zipper allowance because I used the same allowance that I joined the back crotch with, as my zipper allowance. I hope you understand 😊.
U didn't tell us how u get ur tigh, crocth and hip
does the ratios work for plus size? I. e 3inch down for thigh measurement
I would recommend 4 inches for plus size
I love the Pant and fit but I have a question, at the back pattern crotch why was your extension 3 inches please can reply so I can know if the 3 inches is a common or fixed measurement. And how you arrived at the 3 inches
Please go through again she made mentioned how she got the three
@3:52, I divided what I had at my crotch area by 4, and I had 2.9 inches. I approximated that to 3 inches, which I used as my crotch extension. I will also add that 3 inches extension again to the back. I hope you understand 😊.
@@SewWithTeepha thank you
Please I want to find out how you achieved the crotch for this tutorial, thank you.
I put the picture of how to take your crotch measurement on the screen at @2:26 and explain how to draft the crotch area from @3:51
Is it the 1 and half inch you to take the hem
I added 2 inches hemming allowance, folded the tip of the hem with ½inch and folded again with 1½ inches again. ½+1½=2.
Nice work but you did not add dart as you said
Yes I didn't. That was a mistake, but the pant still fits well at the waist. Also, that's why I had 1½ inches sewing allowance at the waist
Great job sister! Pls how did you get your croch depth 12 inches? Thank you.
Sit on a flat surface and take your measurement from your waist to the surface of the chair. Like the picture @2:27. I hope you understand 😊.
Is it the 1 and half inches you took to the hem
I added 2 inches hemming allowance to the bottom part of the pant when drafting the pattern @2:45. Then @15:20, I folded the hem with ½ inch first, then folded it again with 1½ inches. So ½ inch + 1½ inches = 2 inches. I hope you understand 😊.
