    Love your videos and content! Super helpful! But the audio/microphone could use some improvement. I don’t mean this in a mean way, it just makes it hard sometimes for me to understand.

      They are in no particular order, but I do have another video assessing the OHS that talks about possible overactive/underactive muscles ruclips.net/video/U5vr4VGVtgc/видео.html

    Hey Meagan!!

  • @patricklimon827
    @patricklimon827 2 месяца назад

    Overactive doesn’t mean they are tight as well. There are muscles that tend to be overactive but are not short/tight.

    • @meagan_harbison
      @meagan_harbison  2 месяца назад

      Agreed for example NASM will state the psoas (main hip flexor) is overactive & needs to be stretched, but many times it’s rather a lack of training that muscle and strengthening it can alleviate that “tightness”. These are terms to pass the NASM CPT and other textbook CPTs specifically. Overactive/underactive muscles along with the several distortion syndromes they have are outdated terms that we shouldn’t be informing our clients have, but instead focus on what we can help improve our clients to live healthier lifestyles.
