with thanks to cameraman Connor
Something a little different: footage taken around a feeding station during a visit to the Arid Recovery wildlife reserve in South Australia. Arid Recovery is an independent not-for-profit, who have been pioneering conservation science since 1997 to help threatened species thrive across the Australian outback. The 123km2 reserve is protected by a 1.8m tall fence to exclude feral cats, foxes and rabbits, which is vital to the survival of the threatened species re-introduced into the reserve.

Yay, another video to watch - always enjoy them, thanks for posting ❤️
Thank you so much for your support, and encouragement
What a fascinating place to visit!
Red soil, the striped formations from above, arid plants & wildlife.
It seems like a whole different world at night (of which we are lucky to have such clear views and ancient history & tales), where it's vastly open during the day, and feels as you would expect a desert in this area, with gritty but fabric-like piercing red sand.
At night, it's like the sky of darkness has descended like a blanket with a physical volume onto the land, directly wrapping the playground of objects (boulders, tufts, ripples) into a concave ball.
It's ominous, and the curious critters jittering like magic apparitions -- like any one of us, who would probably feel encased in horripilation by a hidden air (if it was cold).
In this case, a torch provides visible contrast to our own island of identifiability, which is kind of how bright moonlight looks in person, when concentrating on an area.
It's great that even little conservation initiatives like these exist across the country, as a valuable response to a legacy of loss, by holding what's special for the future.
There's something interesting about having such a wide (long?) grin. There are so many emotions on this marsupials and rodents...and braaaps
Hello Betula, thank you for sharing your fascinating observations - they are always spot on. The important aspect that is missing from a mere video of the desert nighttime is the indescribable majesty of the universe on display overhead. The little world of marsupials and rodents busy doing their secret business below, and the stars above - what more can anyone need?
Awesome and wonderful thank you. Blessed be.♥️♥️♥️

Man, and its not far into the center at all- is that just a no inhabitants zone, a forbidden zone.
Hi PM, central Australia is certainly not a forbidden zone - people do live there, but it is perhaps best described as handy way to die if you venture there inexperienced, unprepared, ill-equipped or just plain unlucky...
I saw on your website that it is possible to donate, i know it is not much but would 20-30$ a quarter help ?
Hello dragonmares59110, thank you for your question and amazing offer to help! This channel is not Arid Recovery though - you can contact them directly at hello@aridrecovery.org.au or check out their support page at aridrecovery.org.au/support-us/
