My only complaint is that side access panel. You can't see front mounted components. Glass edge to edge front to back would have been perfect.
I am thinking of this case but Hardware Canucks said there is a lot of fan turbulence from the front. I guess a decent PWM fan curve would sort this out.
I did a whole build on pcpartpicker trying to fit the stuff I wanted in to the Fractal North, but it just wouldn't work. I wound up building in a Lian Li Vision for a completely different aesthetic...I might have gone with one of these had it come out earlier. My wife likes the Vision build but I bet she would have liked the wood aesthetic even better.

I love the design, but I am concerned about the lack of a dust filter in the rear part, that is mostly meshed: when you shut off the PC for some time, dust can enter from there.
I want to see a custom loop build with a pump 200/250 but in white and v2 north xl with side panel!!!!!
Hey Chris, nice video! I've got a question for you: do you know if this case is compatible with the new ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III 360 cooler? I've heard the radiator is quite thick, and I'm wondering if it'll fit nicely mounted on top with the motherboard and RAM. Thanks a bunch!
Haven't used that one specifically so not sure, but if you go to the specs it should list max radiator thickness for you to compare. There seems to be loads of space at the top so can't see it being a problem
Would a Corsair Shift PSU work with this, with the plugs on the side?

No. To be fair I never asked them as It's rare for me to put an air cooler in a build guide, but it just felt right with this one.

Depends on the theme you want, both work
Hmm it seems your review conflicts with a few others i have seen now who have mostly all dinged it for not so great build quality, above average noise levels & not being enough of an iteration...
I would have to respectfully disagree with them. Fractal have some of the best build quality and keep getting better and noise relates to the hardware you use. Good luck making the dark rock pro loud.
AIO is more efficient (conduction) and performs better than air coolers (convection)! Also makes build cleaner and prevents air turbulance in case... WHy in 2024 would you use air coolers I will never understand. I just got a Thermaltake Frozen 360mm AIO for $53.
