- This one is FUN! I’m using the rotational motion of the canvas to add lots of dimension to some basic ribbon pours.
I feel like there is so much potential in this technique! I just need to keep experimenting with what motions make which ribbon patterns.
My paint is all mixed with floetrol (about 2:1 or 3:1 floetrol to paint, depending on the paint) and thinned water to a medium consistency. Paint-mixing video is here! • Mixing Paint for Acryl...

Ooops! I forgot about my premiere this morning 😂 I hope you all enjoyed it!
Anna... you are a natural instructor. Concise, precise and great to listen to.
Thanks so much!
Looks like green balloons filled with confetti, burst over the canvas.
I like that the splashes add a balance to the design, to my eye.
Thanks! Yes they do add a different element for sure.
Anna, this is beautiful! I actually really love the dimension the splotches add! Your husband is right, this totally reminds me of Spring! Beautiful and fun!
Thank you Debbie!
I used to spend hours playing with my spirogragh as a kid. This was definitely fun to watch and I hope you do it again.
Thanks! I’m sure I will!
Beautiful chaos!!! Love it, love color palette, love the composition. Yes I would like to see more. Endless possibilities!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🕊️✌️😀😀😄😁🤗
Thanks a bunch!
So much fun!
I remember making a painting at some stand at a fair where they had glossy paints in squeeze bottles and electrical spinners in a wooden box for catching the splatters. A square paper on the spinner and the fun is on! Your painting reminds me of that event, over 40 years ago. ❤
Aw neat!
Totally in awe that you’re thinking of this 🔥
Thank you Laurie!
Wow! That is awesome! Never saw that before.
Yeah neither have I!
Brave of you to try these different pouring techniques without knowing what the effect will be. This makes it easier for the rest of us to experiment and take risks!
Thanks Dad! I’m doing another one like this next week! 😁
This looked soooo much fun 🤩
It WAS! I want to keep doing them, haha.
It’s great to experiment, such fun! And a great way to learn different techniques. 😊
Yes indeed!
Very unintentional. Happy!
It is very interesting, It has great motion! It definitely looks like fun. If I had the room to Spin, I definitely would try it

Completely different from your other paintings. Looks pretty cool
Thank you Andrea! Haha I know, very different.
I love it and yes I am going to try it ❤❤❤

Amazing. Thank you
Thank you!
Blow the green to the center?
Very interesting, but where did you get that spinner.?
I bought a wooden lazy Susan, took the top off, and added a big X cut out of plywood!
Wow I think this was such a fun idea. I bet you could be a human Spirograph with a bit more practice
Thanks Linda! Haha we shall see…
