Dragon Ball GT: Final Bout - Tournament Mode

- Subdivided in "The Tournament", in which up to 8 characters (either human or computer controlled) fight in a single-round elimination tournament, and "Build up the Tournament", where the characters are carried over from Build Up Mode, loaded from the memory card.
Unlock all characters except the final boss (Japanese Version)
At the title screen press: Right, Left, Down, Up, Right, Left, Down, Up. If done correctly you will hear a sound,Then press triagle 5 times and X 11 times after that you will hear the same sound.

lets be honest, as a fight game this game was horrible. but the intro was and still is 10/10
@Ze TheGame it was never a reference of a fighting game. it was a terrible game in terms of gameplay. and it still is. the only thing good in that game was the intro. simple as that. and im 30years old.

@@fluffybunny4891 Dragon Ball FighterZ surpassed this game and its way better than this. However this game is the only stand alone GT game with a few characters from Z. This game came out before certain countries even saw GT or the later Sagas of Z, which players didn’t know who most of the characters were in this game. It’s probably one of the reasons why it got negative reviews as well as lack of character choices with too many variations of Goku
Sadly this game came out the same time as the street fighter alphas and was sluggish to play and yet still holds so many memories.

Build up tournament was unrivaled. My strongest character had multiple black bars for life. And all my attacks did serious damage. Thanks to hours of using the same attacks and strengthening them.
me too. I remember training Vegetto against the last trunks in the last stage with repeatedly doing the same attack (Psychic Whip) repeatedly for like 2-3 hours (the attack initially do so much low damage that I have to execute like five of that to see any difference in one single bar). The result was that I get like +1800 of ki/power and could kill Goku SSJ4 (the last character) with only that attack (Psychic Whip) even if he defends/block.
Same! If you were a LV 1 fighting me, you can hit me as much as you want but my life bar was not moving. Meanwhile I could breath on my opponent and kill them lol. That's an essence of the anime these dragonball games today are missing.
I remember back then I had purchased this wacky adapter for ps1 that allowed japanese games to be played on the american version of the console. I had this game (bought it at a comic book shop) good times lol

8:45 was so disrespectful, just a flick of the wrist.
I remmember my good buddy and me back when we were kids played this game a lot. Especially, that build up mod where you lvl up chars. So one day we decided to test our strongest ones, both of them where 150 lv+. We started to fight, the battle lasted for 3 hours, and it was nowhere near the end, we both had several more life bars left. We called it a day, decided it was a tie, and started playing something else. 😂
Welp...it looked like everyone who won and lost was...supposed to win or lose based on various things such as power levels for each character.
Overall a nostalgic look on a game that didn't get much love in the States due to poor marketing (Dragon Ball became very popular in US at the beginning of the 21st Century...unfortunately this game came out around 1996 or 1997 when people like myself said "what's a Goku?") 😂
I will say this: this game changed my life forever, and introduced me to DBZ - I'm forever grateful. 💯

Nah the best was Ultimate Battle cause of the charakters and the sudden easter egg like special attacks. it involved a lot of old dragon ball too

Jajaja, nada mas cierto que eso, cuando estaba pequeño mi amigo siempre me ganaba con los poderes, milagrosamente los controles de ps1 aguantaban todo ese abuso durante años, ojala fueran todavia asi las consolas y sus componentes

This game had so much potential, but felt rushed and I know it kind of looks like garbage, but if you practice all the proper combos and frames, you can actually speed up this slow paced game. The same goes for ultimate battle 22/27. They both appear slow, but if you can manipulate the game's mobility with combos they're actually not as slow.

I swear kid goku in gt was so dark but when he went ssj4 he was light again. You can see it best in Dragonball Xenoverse 2.

When you use any special atack like kamehameha .yo can press back r2 . r2. And the character start kicking until hit the oponent then press triangle and it will be and super block in short range.
This as a lot of charm I enjoy this as I enjoy tobal but to pull off the overpowering attacks felt stiff and awkward but nonetheless still a fun game on the ps1

1)Simple, starting from SB2 they called him TRUNKS to differ him from Present Trunks, you can pretent it means Future Trunks, if geuss if they added Future Gohan in this game, he would be called SON GOHAN
2)Also he's not the only one, Z SS1 Goku is also written in english as SON GOKOU
