I appreciate the compliment but it was my sons concept that was the most creative - I’m fortunate I could help facilitate his idea - I can’t remember if I mentioned it in the video or not but he’s got an idea for a Minecraft trident that he wants us to do next - i’m hoping I can get some video of that as well - i’ve never pushed them to be in the shop much but they’re showing interest now so I’m just happier than a pig in shit 😅
Thanks much buddy - a master I am not, but if I appear so to my boys, I’ll take that smile when I can get them - they’ve been showing a lot more interest in being in the shop & I couldn’t be happier about it
This is sweet. I've appreciated how you bring your experience in theater props and set building to making in general. Your knowledge and experience with finish is impressive. Again, enjoy your style of videos with these last 2.
Even if you start with a flat shield they would love it & you cut out some more taxing steps - now he’s already asking to build a Minecraft trident - that looks like that’ll be next up on our list
Great stuff Nick!!! Nice shop time with the boys. My wife is going to hire the "Ferry Prop Builders" for her next show 😂😂. Hope all is well my friend...
Haha thanks Mike - I can’t complain too much - I was hoping to do an update video soon - I have some more surgery lined up but my spirits are high - hope all has been well with you & yours
Thanks - it’s a rather versatile medium - quite a bit softer than the old cow mats we used to make rockem sockem suits & then wack away at each other with branches - ah the good ol days 😅
nicely done as always Nick.... nice to get a glimpse of you working in the shop with the boys. Those are the moments that will never be forgotten
Thanks - you get it 👊🏼
The creative dad! Your imagination for prop building is outstanding Nick!

Much appreciated - and in the world of faux finishes for theatrics I’m just a baby - crazy how well scenic artists can mimic materials
That is a lot more complicated then the napkin holders but my grandsons would love that!
