Your cab is a reflection of you as a operator clean and tidy cab means that you leave a nice job
I totally agree. It's hard to take pride in your work when you trash a cab and spit on the floor. Nothing drives me nuts more than a bombed out cab.
@@DieselandIron No shit. Nothing brings out my "pissed off operations manager face" than climbing into a service truck or piece of equipment and finding a 1" layer of sunflower shells on the floor, and in the vents, and stuck to the controls.
old video but nice to watch -- plus your dirty machine makes me feel a little better about me -- and its all about me.
Great video! I have never used Pledge in my cabs before, but I'm gonna give it a go. And your right about keeping a clean cab. It shows that attention to detail that owners and bosses are looking for.
It's a game changer Wayne. I'm shooting for a Pledge sponsorship. Pretty soon I'll have Rick's skid steer decked out with Pledge decals like a Nascar stock car 😂😂
Great tip. Getting mine ready for winter storage here in Vermont. I’m going to detail my machine inside and out. Pledge was not on my list of items to get but it is now.
You'll never go back! Go luck with the winterizing!
Loved this all the way! Our mechanic really does take notice of cleaning inside AND outside. Thanks for the videos 👍🏻
Thanks for watching Nick! I appreciate the compliment!
Going to have to try pledge
Never even thought to try pledge👍
It's a life changer my man!
Correct is right keep your cab clean u will feel better an be more productive 👍 nice job on the cab that's a big difference 👌 Thank U Brian for the great video 👍
Thanks for watching Junia!
Has an operator, you work and feel better when your machine is clean inside. I thought I was the only one that uses pledge. Once again, great video bro.
Absolutely! It's always nice to get into a clean cab. Nice to meet another Pledge user! Thanks Ronnie!
Some really good pointers in here. One thing i do is get a watertight container or bucket, maybe 40L size. Cling wrap the heck out of it and bring that to work. Bring some car wash detergent and a sponge if you plan on cleaning out mud from inside, or even muddy windows 😊 my workmates even take their boots off inside the cabin. And place them on a separate mat. Keep wet wipes in the cab for dirty hands 🤙 kudos from Australia
I wish we got to own a machine here in the US like the do in your country or Europe. One of the biggest issues we have in the US is we swap machines all the time so you quickly lose any motivation to clean out the machine. Tomorrow some jackass will get in the machine and run it with the windows open while spitting their dip on the floor....
Wish more operaters would understand that peice of equipment pays there salary, awesome video sir
Thanks Jake! I 100% agree with you. Too many operators don't grasp how expensive these machines are.
Wicked tip with the Pledge Bryan thanks for the secret sauce haha
haha you got it brother!
Wow!! Great awesome tips!! Thanks so much my brother!!
Mahalo nui. Just what I needed to know. The best method of eliminating dust in the cab of my CAT302CR. PLEDGE!
Aaauuurrraaaiii.
Happy to help brother!
Never used pledge going to try it. Thanks for the tip!
It's a game changer! Thanks for watching Dennis!
Awesome video! Working in an organized environment is so much easier! Enjoy your week my man. 👊
Thanks man! I love having a clean cab. Even in an older machine it feels nice and newer.
Love it , great video brother
Thanks man! I appreciate it!
I go throug the cab with a broom once per week and every 4 weeks i get the mat out and get the dirt from underneath it. The windows and interior are cleaned when its needed
That's a good system
WTH?? How about compresssed air? Then you can can detail trim and windows! Twice as quick. I mean if you have a service truck on site or are in your shop. Great videos Bryan. Thx! Gene Murray
Good point Gene. I wanted to make this video to show that you can spiff up the cab without the need of any shop tools or special items. A little elbow grease with a bit of time and you can shine her right up. Thanks for watching!
If you wanna save time with cleaning, buy a extra floor matt. We have those that looks like fake grass, put that matt where your rest your feet and you can easily just pull it out with the shit you bring in. dump it out and put it back in for the next load.
That's a great tip!
nice tip, i have a lot of that fake grass and it comes in handy so many times and this is just another great use for it!
Cracking vid use it in my cat loader great stuff
Thanks Rob!
Great video. I agree 100%.
Thanks Aydn!
Sheepskin seat cover keeps the seat clean and comfy
We need more lemon pledge
Wait till you try the orange scent...it's life changing....😂
How long does it take to fully detail?
If you start with a disaster and want to go to spit shined I bet you could get it done in an hour or so.
Can you tell me the brand of the utility body on the Ford behind you
I will be picking up pledge on the way to the job tomorrow that was the missing secret sauce I have been looking for
It does wonders! Unfortunately that truck is down in Ohio and I'm not sure what utility body was on it. I might head back down there in the next month or so. I'll try to remember to look for you.
my machine hasn't been cleaned properly since new and that was 2015, there's grease all over the boom, windows are barely see through, you get the picture.
So you're right there with 98% of the industry?😂😂
@@DieselandIron pretty much
I absolutely hate dirty cabins, idk why some owners never care to have it cleaned periodically & I absolutely hate operators who dare leave snack wrappers or empty bottles in equipment cabins
The absolute worst are the animals who chew and spit on the floor. That one makes my blood boil...
sometimes with a skidloader i’ll just take a pressure washer to the cab😂
Skid steers are their own animal when it comes to this. Sometimes you 100% just need to take a pressure washer to the cab
be prepared to get a bunch of sh*t from your coworkers. I work in a landfill and do this process with an 836K and everybody wonders why I do it and say im polishing a turd. but its 100% pride in your work and if it makes you feel great then go for it. plus im the only one with a nice smelling machine lol
Update: Been "promoted" to operate a D8T for the last few months. And did the same process as always and have completely changed the culture at my job. It was commonplace when I started a year and a half ago for operators to blow out their cab with an air compressor now everybody wipes down their cabs hahaha. Funny how setting an example turns into motivation. Thank you again for posting this inspirational video!
