I washed one about 20 years ago when I was working for an auto dealer in Flagstaff, AZ when they took it towards a trade. I had an indoor bay to do all my details back then thankfully
The fact that he cleans his bobcat just shows how much he takes care of and cares about his belongings. If more people could be like this then the world would be better off
I actually gained a lot of respect for Mitch after this video. For him to detail his Bobcat even though it gets dirty with the work he does, just shows how meticulous and tidy and very clean Mitch is. I bet if someone visited his house it will probably be the cleanest house ever!!
he for sure already has just the cleanest garage despite working so much in it (well, it at least used to be in his actual garage.) however, cleaning something that gets dirty right away again isn't exactly something new to Mitch, I'm guessing, since he often details either farm trucks or in the middle of the winter with roads in really bad condition. or occasionally, you can rather safely assume that his clients just won't keep their vehicles clean for very long (effectively ensuring, that we never run out of content 😅)
Mitch certainly has a great work ethic, but I wonder if he will feel the same about this machine in a couple of years time of cleaning to this degree 😆
As someone who sells used earth moving equipment this is incredibly satisfying to watch. I see so many machines that are not washed and maintained like you did with this. Also you can unbolt the cab and lift it so you can power wash the foot pedal controls and wash all the dirt out of the pumps.
Mitch, I know you might not see this, but showing all your detailing skills, heart, hard work, and all is just out of this world. You should be recognized and verified on all of your social medias, so people can really see who how skilled you are as an professional detailer. Keep going, my man.
Keeping your heavy equipment clean will greatly help the machine last much longer. It’s healthy machine maintenance. And if you have to have it repaired by a mechanic. They will be very appreciative of your efforts to maintain its cleanliness, that goes for if you work on it yourself as well. Short tip. These machines gather a lot of dirt and dust under the cab in the “belly” of the machine. Most of the time these skidsteers you can raise the cab by removing a couple bolts and lifting it like a car hood. Remove your belly pan and wash out the bottom. It will keep down on hydraulic hoses and electrical harnesses rubbing on the piled up dirt! Great work!
I liked this one! Getting your commentary 'in-person' as it were, as opposed to a voice-over, was much more personable! Kinda felt like we were really there with you the whole time! I'm glad you made time for the Bobcat to get cleaned before the winter, I can see how the snow might just pack the dirt on more permanently. Great video as always!
I agree with Peter. I think the commentary adds to the video. Maybe put it in your arsenal of editing ideas. Sometimes have it, sometimes don't. Keep the audience guessing! This video broke out of the mold and I liked it. You could also do one entitled, "Rookie Does $500 Detail" or "I trained a rookie how to detail."
Loved this detail so different. My cousin and me always watch your details together and he loved this one (my cousin has autism and your videos calm him a lot)
I watch his videos before I go to bed! It’s so relaxing. And as the videos come out on Friday night where I live it’s a great way to end the work week and kick into gear the relaxing weekend!
I'd like to see some more heavy equipment getting deep cleaned the best you can get. That and some very old vintage cars would be interesting to see on the channel too.
Now this is an unusual detail! But it’s exciting to see you tackle something so different. Maintenance on a vehicle like this should extend its work life. Thanks for sharing such a fun cleanup!
I had to watch this video, I work for a fire department on Long Island, New York. I’m in charge of all the maintenance of the 4 fire house that are in our district as well as detailing all of our equipment including our Bobcat which has many uses for us. You’re absolutely correct about the difficulties in detailing something like that. I was looked at kinda strange when I was applying the tire shine to the tires as well but hey, it’s like putting on a nice suit with dirty shoes, it’s just not right!!! The talking during the video is great and I like it better.
nice to see someone else who takes time to clean there equipment I have two JD tractors and a gator which is 11 years old and still looks new and so do my tractors all of witch get used a lot around here especially in the spring and summer and so far not one problem with them.
Keeping the mechanical parts clean will not only keep them working in prime shape, but allows you to see any future issues before they become a problem! It also shows customers your attention to detail and that you care for your things!❤
Thank you so much for doing this, my dad used to make bobcats when i was a kid and im now in my early 30s, i had never seen anything like this before as to how to do it, but i have recently completed training to use a forklift here in Australia and im excited to ask my dad more questions about his work before i see him in real life next as he lives like 6 hours drive away and show him this video when he comes to visit in a few months time, i am not sure if he made regular bobcats or skid steers as well, but this is so cool to me, i now live in tbe farming town in a country area where he and my uncle grew up and i live with ny uncle, dads brother, though they loved their childhood here, my dad now lives near a capital coty but i think even my uncle will find this a cool video too...
As one of my Auto Tech teachers would say, "If she's-a no clean, she's-a no work"... so just as important to keep heavy equipment clean. Awesome job as always, Mitch.
Just wanna say holy smokes dude... these comments say everything about the community you have gathered here, and I love the fact I can be a part of it! Lots of respect from Croatia!
That has got to be the cleanest skid steer I've ever seen. I think all the other little skids will see how clean Bobby is and they will turn green with envy; therefore, I would imagine you will soon be the proud owner of the only skid steer that is the original color of orange and white! Very interesting watching you give Bobby a bath.
Absolutely loved this, and really enjoy your calm almost monotone, so easy to listen to and learn from at the same time. Loved this format. Will keep coming back, and thoroughly enjoyed this through and through. Bobby looks fantastic!
I have a business detailing heavy equiptment used for construction and rock quarrys! Super cool to see you do a piece of equiptment, done a great job for the challenges small equiptment brings!! I need to try some of your products on the equiptment I tackle.
Washing the Bobcat and playing the guitar show your true artistic talents - they are both a disciplined art and you master them! And of course, hats off to Lord Mike!
Hey DG, it's great to see that, even at 103.1 hours "new" you take care of all of your equipment, as well as the vehicles. This shows that a person could bring in a "cherry" condition car-with-only a couple hundred miles on it, from the 1950's to have you do a "gentle cycle" cleaning job on it without a worry! Doug🤓
Nothing unnecessary about it, it's great to take care of your equipment. It will take better care of you in the long run. Bobbie looks great! The video was good, with the talking and all. It's nice to hear what you're doing throughout the video.
God Bless you Mitch! It was a greet video and yes I would love to see the tractor detailed. Thank you for all your hard work, inviting us all into your work shop in every video, and showing a great kindness to us all!
Cleanest bobcat Ive seen! Work at a Bobcat dealer for over 10 years. Little piece of advice. The entire cab can get wet, pressure wash the footwells on low pressure…removable covers by the pedals to help water drain out belly pan. 10mm bolts on the side windows pop the entire window assemblies out for easy cleaning! Enjoy watching your vids all the time.
Love the format of this video! Going back and forth between time lapse and real time is very enjoyable to the viewer. Keep up the great work in both detailing and videography!!
Talking throughout the video actually makes the video more fun to watch. It's like having a little chitchat with a friend while doing something. So I personally like it.
A unique Detail Geek video. Personally, I most enjoy the videos when you're cleaning older, trashed cars--the messier the better--and making them look better than anyone would think possible. Since you are a perfectionist, I expected nothing less in your approach to the Bobcat. It turned out looking the best it possibly could for what is a workhorse vehicle. And I liked that you talked with us during the video as you were completing the process.
Honestly, I think I love watching all of your videos. I love sitting back, relaxing, and enjoying a great video. I also really enjoy the talking throughout the video! Keep it up, Mitch!
Many have said it, but, although some/most equipment owners would not take the time to clean theirs, it's a good idea to keep equipment clean and to be meticulous with maintenance. I am 100% certain you will do both. I happy for you, that you've gotten yourself this versatile machine. You're going to get many years of service from it.
It really says a lot about your standards as a professional detailer, Mitch. We can see it in all your customer detailing videos how meticulous as a detailer you are. It's really cool to see you take that much pride in a vehicle that's meant to be dirty all the time. That says a lot about you as a man... well done, Brother. 😎
Haven't been on your channels for a while but I must say the new studio and the fact you're not doing voiceovers anymore are a real breath of fresh air. Back in the day you'd read from a script and it was so generic but today you sounded like your every day normal self and you sounded comfortable doing it. Nice Bobcat!
I really enjoyed this video. Taking care of equipment really does extend its useful life. The talking through this was great. I'd love to see your other machinery cleaned also. I notice a little "huffing and puffing" during this clean - cars are one thing, but this took both a lot of work and a lot of care in a new way. The cramped space inside and all the moving parts on the outside are much different than the usual car, and very interesting. Be sure to include some snow clearing in one of your future videos!
Hey Mitch! Great detail on Bobby, it’s good to see that your vehicles get the same attention as your customers. Another great detail video, it’s good to see you talking in the video as well.
Take it from a heavy Equipment Technician we greatly appreciate just a thorough power wash and to see a machine detailed is mind-blowing to me. Whoever services your machine is very lucky to do so.
Mitch! Awesome work, that Bobby went from dirty to mint! To be honest, yes it's a challenging detail but achievable like you do allways! Congrats Mitch and i hope that this detail made you gain some exp in the field of cleaning heavy machinery :). Congrats again and i hope to see more of this heavy machinery details coming soon! And obviously, congrats to the Bobby for all the good work he did! Greetings from Argentina!
Seeing someone take so much pride in the things they have is so nice to see. Thanks for this video it’s so cool to see it, and It looks amazing. Will the tractor get the same treatment? This is so cool. And yes keep the talking bits in I liked those bits!
Alemite makes fantastic grease guns and their couplings seem to leak less. If you really want to get fancy I've been told you should get the locking grease couplings that work kind of like air chucks. Looks good and reminds me of power washing heavy equipment in my dad's shop as a kid! Thanks for all the work you put in this year!
Huge tip for cleaning inside, life the cab! Gets you to a lot of crevices that are no longer crevices. Most skid steers I’ve ever worked on the cab is meant to be lifted by one person if the cab shocks aren’t blown out. I’ve never worked on a bobcat but I’ve done case, new Holland, Takeuchi although the Taks were the hardest to lift had to use another machine just too heavy cause the shocks were completely blown and owner didn’t want to replace so we went with it. Hope this helps!
First of all, everyone here knew that you wouldn't be able to not clean Bobby. Second, it's not overkill if it how you want to maintain your equipment. Finally, damn good job!
I really enjoyed this detailing and the format of the video too! I assumed that with the new works space we’d get some out of the ordinary vehicles in for detailing, I’m glad I wasn’t wrong. Overall, good stuff and thanks for the content man!
Mitch!!! You’re the man! I don’t know if anyone who’s taken such fantastic care of equipment like that. When/if you ever decide to sell or upgrade, your machine will get top dollar. Great job!!
Great job! Taking care of your equipment will make it last longer. Customers will see the care you give to your things and for me that translates to how much a customer will trust you and keep coming back! Good video! However I missed my extractions of the carpet. Oh well I just wait til next week!
Great work as always! I recommend using degreaser on all the grease points and also those orange plates under the arm u can unscrew the knob and you’ll be able to remove that so when u have the machine in the air u can put it under the arms so the machines arm don’t collapse on you. It’s called a lift support brace!!
Excellent subject, format, etc. I thoroughly enjoyed watching, and learning more about the Bobcats that we see almost daily. I totally respect your pride of keeping everything neat and clean. I checked the prices for Bobcats, and these babies aren't cheap! Nice job all-around, Mitch 👍👍
Omg this was great! Love how you showed us how to operate it that's info I personally don't come across every day 😝 it must be so nice to sit and work In a clean sparkly skid steer 😌 (and get it all dirty again!) Love how you dressed up the tires and did the coating too. I've always wondered how things like this would shine with your magic touch! ✨️
Dude... You are an absolute blessing to RUclips... For you to have anyone come across any of your videos and not enjoy every single second of it is just beyond me... And that was my thought right before you played some Thunderstruck... After that... Jesus Christ, *THAT* IS TALENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May God bless every step you take...
It’s fairly easy to tip up the cab on that machine. Two large fasteners accessible from inside the cab. Remove these and the cab will lift up giving you access to the engine and hydro pump. This makes life so much easier. Hope this helps
as someone who has personally detailed lots of different machines i can tell you that brings around a few issues the main one being grease if you're regularly washing heavy equipment you're gonna have to have a hot water pressure washer as grease do not come off without lots of effort with cold water (like washing dishes with cold water) along with that a lot of equipment can be often overwhelmingly disgusting i have spent a week on a large machine. not saying don't do it just a fair warning of what it brings.
A hot water pressure washer is really what you want for equipment. Also, be sure to regrease all the zerts after washing to help push any water that’s made it in there out.
I enjoy all your vids but this was by far the best just for showing us how the bobcat works and detailing it! Saves you thousands just by doing it yourself
I used to clean those for my family’s tractor dealership and there are SO MANY nooks and crannies 😂 dirt just be coming out of everywhere and back on your cleaned spots 😂
Just a quick tip. That non-skid sticker just inside the door will wear out quickly. Just take that thing off and spray some truck bedliner on that area. It will make that spot slip resistant. Ask me how I know. 🤣
Hey Mitch! It definitely showcases your talents and makes you achieve the more challenging details. Personally I prefer cars/trucks and would love for you to work on more classic cars too so we can see how to maintain older vehicles especially from the 70s to the 90s! I know you can’t pick and choose your clients but I think it would be pretty cool to see to mix things up a bit! Thanks for doing these videos! It’s always something I look forward to every Friday! 😊😊😊
I really enjoyed how you stopped and talked to us throughout the detail. Felt more interactive…even thought I’m drinking coffee in my pajamas and not helping at all lol. Great job Mitch!!
Liked the talking Bro you’ve came a long way Rightfully so Your one of the hardest working and most consistent on RUclips Congrats! I say switch it up sometimes lol your detailing jobs are the best but they do get boring after you’ve seen so many
Mitch, thank you for such a great and different detail video. I take it that this is a favorite toy, and toys need cleaned as well. Like others who posted, keeping your vehicles clean (no matter what type) will extend its life. I enjoyed your at the moment audio, made me feel like I was there with you as you carried out your excellent detailing skills. Also liked your problem solving skills and how you attacked your mission. Again, thanks so much. Very entertaining!
The old girl (new girl..lol) scrubs up well, give yourself a pat on the back, you done her proud. Great job, enjoyed watching the vidio. Can't wait to see the next one get cleaned. 👍👍👌
Great change of pace in this one, Mitch, and not at all surprised to see your meticulous professionalism on display even with a piece of heavy machinery.
I have a lot of respect for anyone who buys a Bobcat to use for himself. Nice to see they still make machines with the foot pedal controls. I remove any attachments before pressure cleaning my Bobcats and never bothered to clean a bucket because it's just rusted out anyway. In fact every machine I have owned was rusted and beat up before I got it. You have to take it apart to do a good cleanout and paint job on a decades old rust bucket like I end up with.
I think it’s awesome that you take care of what you have no matter if it’s heavy machinery or something small. It speaks volumes to your character and how you were raised. Love your videos, keep up the great work! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I enjoyed the comments for this video specifically because it was a bit of a wild card, but please don’t change your format for regular details. The rhythm of them helps me sleep and I love them! Talking breaks that up. I watch your videos more than once often to finish seeing the detail because I fall asleep with how perfectly they relax me!
i think this is a great thing to do. you invested a good bit of money in this machine and use it so much so you need it to last and be reliable. this is a good way to make sure everything is is good condition and keep all that dirt and such from corroding the paint or metal. i'd love to see another video like this!
I really appreciated your care of this equipment. I don't think it is necessary to do this level of care every time you use it. But, When you take care of things that have been provided for you, it shows your gratitude for what you have and the sacrifice that has been made to have it for your work. I feel it indicates what is on the inside and the man you are. Happy Holidays!
Mitch, great video!! That is the only way to keep our things looking great and working properly! No matter if it is going to get dirty again. Yes detail your tractor next, would love to see it. Fun fact, when I was younger I would detail my grandfather's tractor!
Loved it! You could detail anything, cars, bikes, boats and it would be entertaining, educational and satisfying to watch. Keep up the good work and love the new studio!!!
DTG, I think this was for me; the best one to date. It seemed you really enjoyed doing this particular job, which to me made it more enjoyable. Thank you for sharing and your expertise in this particular arena. Made me feel a little nostalgic of your earlier videos.
Love to see the bobcat detail! I have a John Deere riding mower that’s six years old and still looks brand new!Just clean it after every mow and store it clean
Definitely enjoyed this video, and I do like having you talk to the camera while you're in the process! It's cool that you cover all kinds of vehicles, and heavy industrial tools need love too.
Let me know if you guys enjoyed this one and be sure to check out the huge Black Friday sale over at detailgeekautocare.com and stock up!
Wow dude that thing wasn’t even dirty yet
Definitely detail your tractor!!!

And just like that, every Bobcat out there simultaneously pulled out their Christmas wish lists after watching this. Beautiful work, as always! 😍
Nice choice of skid steers. I grew up around them and have family that worked and works their 😁
I really enjoyed this detailing and the format of the video too!
Great job!!
I’d love to see more equipment details! There’s actually a huge market for ceramic coating on farm equipment
Thanks Mike, glad you enjoyed!!
Awesome job sir. Attention to detail is number one!! The John Deere cleanup was my favorite. Outstanding job. Outstanding.
Now that was interesting. That was meant to be I guess. Nice Cleanup Mitch! Bobby looks great now! Have a great weekend 😅
It’s fairly easy to tip up the cab on that machine. Two large fasteners accessible from inside the cab. Remove these and the cab will lift up giving you access to the engine and hydro pump. This makes life so much easier. Hope this helps
Not only does this make for good content. It just goes to show you take pride in your belongings. I respect it keep up the great work!
To tell you the truth, it’s so relaxing and satisfying to watch a skid loader get detailed. Thank you! 😌
as someone who works with heavy deisel equipment daily i was looking at your "dirty" bobcat thinking it was clean! Haha. Great work though!
And there's what sets you apart... a manifestation of who you are! Great job.
Love this and you should offer this to heavy small equipment customers.
as someone who has personally detailed lots of different machines i can tell you that brings around a few issues the main one being grease if you're regularly washing heavy equipment you're gonna have to have a hot water pressure washer as grease do not come off without lots of effort with cold water (like washing dishes with cold water) along with that a lot of equipment can be often overwhelmingly disgusting i have spent a week on a large machine. not saying don't do it just a fair warning of what it brings.
People working on this bobcat love him
A hot water pressure washer is really what you want for equipment. Also, be sure to regrease all the zerts after washing to help push any water that’s made it in there out.
I enjoy all your vids but this was by far the best just for showing us how the bobcat works and detailing it! Saves you thousands just by doing it yourself
I used to clean those for my family’s tractor dealership and there are SO MANY nooks and crannies 😂 dirt just be coming out of everywhere and back on your cleaned spots 😂
massive respect to you for having your own Bobcat SkidLoader & all !!!!
Just a quick tip. That non-skid sticker just inside the door will wear out quickly. Just take that thing off and spray some truck bedliner on that area. It will make that spot slip resistant. Ask me how I know. 🤣
I absolutely love the fact that you detail your tools as well. Bobby looks better than ever!
Liked the talking
Bro you’ve came a long way
Rightfully so
Your one of the hardest working and most consistent on RUclips
Congrats!
Now that's something need to be cleaned, but it wasn't that dirty what it was supposed to be 😂
The old girl (new girl..lol) scrubs up well, give yourself a pat on the back, you done her proud.
Loved the result! Industrial vehicles need this to continue to run perfectly! Thanks!
Hands down the coolest detailing video!! Great job Mitch!
Mitch, great video!!
That is the only way to keep our things looking great and working properly! No matter if it is going to get dirty again.
Yes detail your tractor next, would love to see it. Fun fact, when I was younger I would detail my grandfather's tractor!
Very satisfying to watch. Love all your videos, my kids started watching too.
Being a heavy equipment operator, this is incredibly satisfying to see how clean this is! Kudos 🙌🏼
This one is the happiest heavyduty machine in the world. I can see Bobby smiling.
My full respect to this man. Started his car detailing business and brokered it to the level that he has.
I loved that you talked more in this video, it was very insightful!
There is nothing like caring for the machinery you have to use, it shows PROFESSIONALISM. Well done Mitch
