Situations like this is why you should never be cold-hearted or mock others in their calamities. Today it might be me, but tomorrow it might be you. 🤕🤕🤕

"A" tough season? Last year's March 31 tornado outbreak was a rare super-outbreak in which Iowa was one of the states that was hammered. I also have to mention the August 2020 monster derecho, which was the worst and strongest derecho in recorded history.

Ya but most of those tornadoes were in Illinois, this year Iowa has been really bad

I had 100mph winds hit my backyard and house. At least with a hurricane, you get days of prep and time to evac, but that day the derecho hit, that felt like tornados every where. I had never seen so many crops destroyed. Whenever a line of storms form on the Missouri River side, and start heading east, it always makes mentally prepare on the rest of the day, just in case.

Uh, we have back to back really bad outbreaks this year. The last week of April, early May, sunday and yesterday, and probably this weekend too. Actually, did you know that this April was the second most active ever, only behind 2011? Yeah, this is indeed a tough season.

This tornado was at least EF3 minimum based on the EF scale damage I saw to those houses. NWS still will rate the thing, but this one was not small.
