Achilles heel on these is the front plastic surround which breaks away around the joint seam. It could be cold making the plastic brittle or a faulty batch?
I ran my speakers in the wrong position (Mic) for the longest time not realizing and wondering why they didn’t sound as good as I thought they should have…Great speakers 👍🏽
Yea, it’s easy to do that. I know people say that it’s easy to know the correct position, but the picture is confusing. Even in the manual. If you haven’t dealt with an RCF speaker you wouldn’t know. I’ve used them a number of events so far and they just sound incredible for their size. There is not much more you need unless you are doing a high school prom or something lol.
What would you compare these too? I think you did a good job filming and recording this. They come through pretty clean with headphones. Thanks for sharing.
They sound close to the EV Evolve 50. They are definitely louder and have a cleaner sound with a fuller bass. If I could compare, it would have to be a pair of QSC K12’s with the k subs. Even though these don’t start breaking up when you push them. They definitely don’t hit like an 18 but they are probably the best sounding 12 I’ve ever heard. They just sound incredibly even.
That’s all about preference. The mixer in the jmix is good. The difference is that you are able to control all the different inputs next to or by your controller ie..mics, separate monitor, secondary sound devices, if the videographer needs an audio feed etc. I just like having that option to have that close by instead of having to lean down behind the speaker every time I adjust the mic volume or another input. If you have the jmix and a j8 you wouldn’t be running stereo if you ran from the jmix to the j8. The external mixer adds a buttload more headroom. If I run my DDJ - 1000 without it, I would be at almost max volume on the controller before I even get close to pushing the J8’s. The DDJ 1000 is not a cheap controller and has a better sound card then most controllers but it’s still not enough pre-amp. Plus a separate mixer is around $150 and a Jmix is almost $500 more then the J8.
@@djflaimtxCould You please clarify the situation with stereo(absent of stereo) if You using jmix8 + j8? It’s not the first time I hear this about jmix8, but can’t understand how it possible?
great video. Considering these here in Brazil which miraculously arent that expensive in comparison to the market.
Hi Dj flaim! Pleasure to meet you today at guitar center!
You too man.

what would you think of this system for a small band? Including bassdrum mic?
Thx for the breakdown
Hello Flaim. I currently use 2 QSC k8.2 and 2 KS112s do you think the J8s sound as good or close? Thank you for your response. 🙏
These are good, but QSC ks112 is awesome with any k series tops.
@@djlenzo8683 yes they are 💪
what do you think about getting a jmix and one j8 and link the 2. vs having 2 j8 and external mixer?

Hallo!
Tieftöner 4 Ohm oder 8 Ohm?
Kannst du vielleicht Serien Nummer sagen?
Your video, Shit was done right:)
Where you purchased the Speakers I’m in Dallas ?
I purchased on Reverb. They offer free shipping and they were here in 3 days. Think I payed $2,500 for 2 including tax. I live up in McKinney.
Very disappointed with the commentary language been used the guy, he used the word ‘shit’ so many times, l guess he didn’t even notice it. 👎
