I got molded plastic PA cabinets, I installed commercial movie cinema woofers & tweeters into the cabinets, I get tons of positive feedback regarding quality of sound, (great for weddings). My PA system can be turned up loud, but won't damage peoples hearing.
Another great Video …I just love your humor 😭 I was just wondering would you prefer the RCF array speakers over the EV evolve 50 M ? Thanks for all your and just keep us laughing with all the great info too ☘️👍
Security guy 🤣🤣🤣🤣 when he asked is that it, you should've said just getting started. He's doing his job, now he should step aside and let you do yours👍🏾 You keep killing it my brotha! One love
Looks good man. I'm all wash and uplighting now except for one derby with the single mini kinta...I just really like how they look on fast songs. Good call on the venue AV staff...their cable management needs attention. I did a site visit before at a huge destination event I had and it was super helpful. It was a big room and they just confirmed what I planned to bring would work, which it did. Did anybody jump in the fountain?
I don't look at numbers, more application. I've used these for pretty big rooms and up to 250 people. Some will think that's not true....but it is lol. They deliver for the dance and can cover for dinner/speeches. I take either my S1 Pro or the new JBL Eon MK2 for back room fill if I need it
Awesome gig log, always enjoy the content! Quick question about the Salsa booth: I have been thinking of getting this but hesitant thinking that I need backdrops and props. I like that you just bring it as it is. Do you get a lot of demands for props or backdrops?
I decided against backdrops cause I wanted to put it close to the dance floor (my opinion, the best place for it). Plus, it keeps the cost down to my clients. They ask if I have one, but it's never been a deterrent. Some make their own and bring their own props
Hi Aaron....As a new DJ(starting late in life at the age of 52), I appreciate your informative videos. My question: Which facade are you using for this event?
Hey Aaron, starting out and I keep going in loops about what speakers to get. Is it worth it to stay budget and get the EV ZLX15s or shud I save and rent until I can get these RCF Column Speakers?
Whatever you do, buy in cash. Don’t get suckered into a 0 down monthly payment bullshit. For me, I love the look of the columns. I’m not a fan of a top on a tripod so that was the big factor for me. You gotta do what feels best for you and makes you the happiest bro. Hope that helps!
@@AaronStrawn The RCFs would be my first choice, but I couldn't pay for those in cash right now. Think the ZLXs are good enough to start and then maybe I can upgrade later?
Aaron... Props from Berlin, Germany! Really love your videos. I just said to my wife, that you're probably my favorite DJ related RUclips Channel, period! Because of you, I bought the RCF EVOX J8. After 2 deliveries with transit damage, the last 2 are just fine! I was wondering... Are you using the supplied bags for the speaker poles? They seem a little flimsy. Any suggestions? Keep up the great work!
Our contract stipulates that WE ARE ONLY LIGHTING VENDOR - mixing in-house lighting and your own lights are always a challenge. Managing the entire event lighting guarantees that you have control over the quality. If there were issues with in-house lights, everyone thinks IT'S YOUR FAULT. Same goes for in-house audio. We would have politely declined audio for dining space and done it ourselves to guarantee quality. Easily could have used Shure Wireless packs and more array speakers in that space for better coverage.
@@AaronStrawn have you ever tested the db technologies es1203? Sure it's not the easiest to move but very versatile... 3 channel amplifier and digital steering for move up straight or down the sound

Hello sir love your reviews brother. I get mixed info on Mic/Line switch.
Is the switch supposed to be UP for line?
Your help would be appreciated.
We have the exact same set up except I have the Evox 12s, the J8 seem to be more appropriate
you are a trip brother ! I look forward to your videos. LOL 😅
Thanks!

For me, I'd choose the J8 over the EV 50. I think they're really close though

Hi, in your first set up you have some sticks attached to the speaker poles, are they lights? Can you post a link please
Yep! THey are the Ape Lab Stick XLs- www.apelabsusa.com/product/stick-xl-2.0#4f409e5797

Yeah, they did the cable candy cane lol.
Nope, no one jumped in 😞
Beautiful venue. Crazy dinner space though
Totally agree
Great gig log. I just purchase the ape sticks and the ape wapp unit.
Here’s the case I bought for them. It fits 5. amzn.to/37R73YB
What a unique venue! Really looking into these RCF J8's... How many people can 2 handle you think?

@@AaronStrawn Do you think for a beginner they should get column arrays or stick with tops? Considering the EV zlx12s or 15s.
Arron you definitely had the right idea with the sound , great job. I do have a little gripe about the cable management on those three speakers lol.
I should send them some gravity clips 😂

Thanks bro! That booth is the Rockville Rockbooth XL. It's awesome. I don't use it anymore, but it was so easy to setup and tear down and looks great
@@AaronStrawn Thank you for getting back to me! I appreciate the information!
Is it still snowing there? Lol you finally took my word on the candlelight color.
It is..🤦🏻♂️

Aron, how do you connect to your Yamaha mixer 6 channel. TIA
For this gig, I believe i just went out of it to the J8s. I don't use it anymore, it's a backup. I use the QSC Touchmix. I got a video on it
Wait - what happened to the Evolve 50s? Back to the J8s?
I didn’t buy those, friend let me borrow them to try em out
Yess where is your review of evovle 50

Well done on reaching your sound objectives and loved the dance music! What a nightmare venue set up. Hope couples don’t pay that much for that space!
I still think it was an awesome venue, just had some challenges that we luckily overcame
Wow ! thanks so much this is so helpful for someone like me who wants to start in the business..

Yeah, I use those bags just for the poles. For the subs, I bought Tuki Covere and I keep the cables in my DJ bag

@@AaronStrawn LOL, I would think someone as creative as you now has a wedding set up that looks like Dj Rachaels'
