  • Thousands of protesters in Barcelona sprayed tourists with water in popular tourist areas on June 6.
Barcelona has seen a huge rise in housing prices in recent years, with some government officials blaming high tourist rates.
Barcelona’s Mayor Jaume Collboni announced a plan in June to phase out all short-term rentals by 2028 - an unexpectedly drastic move by authorities seeking to rein in soaring housing costs and make the city liveable for its residents.

It’s the greedy business owners who are responsible, not the tourists. 🙄

We should also understand local people: flat renting is getting more expensive due to Airbnb, impossible to sleep on night in some areas due to noisy and drunk tourists.

They should complain to their authorities for not applying proper control on the tourism industry and not behave like SAVAGES and attack visitors.
