Eartha Kitt was great and had a great purrrrr, as Newmar has noted.
But Julie Newmar even in 2021 - is the BEST Catwoman EVER. Anyone saying different does not understand the character of Catwoman in the least.
Why was Julie Newmar the perfect Catwoman?
The way she moved, her purring voice (had a softness Eartha Kitt couldn't match), the playfull brightness in her eyes, the very shape of her face, and yes, the way her figure filled that catsuit!
I also think (from what I've read) she is a really nice person. A truly beautiful human being.
I remember her in little abner , I was a young boy, she was stunning! I will never forget her!
Part of her appeal was her unique and distinctive way of speaking and similar traits can be heard in Sean Connery, Cary Grant, Orson Wells, Laurence Olivier and Richard Burton. Even Marilyn Monroe had a very distinctive way of speaking that grabbed your attention.
Julie would have made a great Dominatrix. That made her "The Perfect Catwoman". She drove me out of my mind as a kid. And still does. Gorgeous Lady!.
Julie played the Devil once on an episode of the original Twilight Zone. It's practically a dry run for her role as Catwoman. She totally ruled.
She always stood out!
She was a natural beauty and you can see by the photos before she played cat woman that her makeup showed off her beautiful cat eyes. We are seeing cat eye makeup again these days, but hers were spot on gorgeous perfection with just a small bit of added makeup. I grew up watching batman and an appearance of cat woman or bat girl was such a treat.
Yes, bat girl (RIP whom recently died), while Julie as Catwoman was *THE SEXIEST,* there's no doubt that Yvonne, as batgirl, was hotter than the other 2 women that played catwoman !
I think the reason why there is such a relationship between Batman and Catwoman because of the great chemistry Adam West and Julie Newmar shared during Batman 66.
My favorite moment with Catwoman comes in Newmar's last episode:
Batman: I'll do anything to rehabilitate you!
Catwoman: Marry me!
Batman: Anything but that! A wife, no matter how beauteous, would interfere with my crimefighting!
Catwoman: But I could help you with your work! As a former criminal, I could be invaluable. I could reform, honest I could!
Batman: But ... what about Robin?
Catwoman: ROBIN?!! Oh, I've got it! We'll kill him!

Yes, Julie Catwoman Newmar was always quick to suggest that Robin be killed - not only in that episode. She loathed Robin, HA!

As I read your purrrr-fect quotes of that Batman episode I recalled that witty sensual banter between them as if I was watching it all over again when I was around 8. I remember that like it was yesterday. When Batman came out it was the same year that my mom and dad got our first color TV. It was so exciting to see the first and every ensuing Batman TV episode "in living color" as the ads for new TV shows were want to do at that time!
The only movie I have of Julie's is "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers". My husband hates it (being a musical) so I only watch it when he's not home. :)

It doesn't matter who plays the character of Catwoman, because she is the nicest of all of Batman's foes, because as mentioned in one Batman episode, she would never ever murder anyone, as Batman accused her of in that episode, unless she really had to.
She was also a damned good Rhoda the robot in the TV series, "My Living Doll", with Bob Cummings.

Everytime Julie Newmar came on the prime time Batman show, all of us watch her. She was simply that gorgeous magnetic Catwoman. Later on, I had to wonder about her and Adam West.
Eartha Kitt was also great as cat woman.

Julie Newmar was absolutely the one and only most purrfect Cat Woman Ever! She was the original and gorgeous! All other Catwomen looked and acted like cheap copycats! 🐈IMO
She certainly had "it" as they say in the entertainment business. A well researched piece but I would advise syncing your visuals with the dialogue instead of simply having them on a disjointed loop.
