So true! There are so many fans (even large scale Taylor RUclipsrs) that openly say she was being a super cringe fake little country girl stomping around in cowboy boots for attention, and wasn’t “real” until like Red. Debut was amazing music to come from a literal child. Debut TV is gonna end me.

Unfortunately, I think the only reason she did that was because it was an official cover and to truly devalue all her old work, she needs to recreate all her old work - even the covers if they were on official albums. I don’t think she’ll do that for things that don’t have any “monetary value” right now. :/

Dark blue tennessee in my opnion is one of her saddest songs she's written, honeslty gives me chills everytime I hear it and it always makes me think of forever winter and the similar themes there. just so so sad but so well done as a piece of art, both songs, and I really hope she releases it. It also gives me vibes of folklore and the storytelling aspect of the album of how well she writes from another point of view, looking into this relationship

My heart wants debut but part of me thinks we all will be disappointed. It’s hard because I love Baby Tay on Debut. Her imperfections is what made it so good tbh! Shes very critical of herself and you can tell shes very well vocally trained to this day. I’m afraid she won’t want to take that step back and have a little fun with it. I am hopeful maybe she has someone training her if she needs the help with a country accent again. Time will tell🙌🏼

Thank you sooo much for giving soooooo much info about debut. I became a swiftie in the Red/1989 era but started listening to her in Fearless/Speak Now era. The only era I didn't really know much about is debut. This helped me a lot in understanding this era more. Now you have made soo much more excited for the Self-Titled(Taylor's Version). And yes we all love sassy Taylor.
'You'll Always Find Your Way Back Home' makes so much sense as a vault track considering the Dorothy easter egg in the Karma music video, but it could just be a tie back to the 'my tears richochet' lyrics or other songs.
Can't wait for Debut TV! There is not really anything quite like country Taylor.

ally, I absolutely love this “everything you need to know” videos because you’re truly my source of ts things. can you please make one of this for fearless? I know a lot of time has passed since taylor’s version but I love this album and I listen to it without knowing anything behind the songs (except for fifteen and tbd of course). I’ve seen the secret messages and most of them I have no idea what it means. fearless is such a great era that most people look down on!

I’ve loved Taylor’s music since Tim McGraw, and self titled is def the re-record I’ve been waiting for since the re-recordings were initially announced, but I’ve never quite been a swiftie or super fan or anything, so I wasn’t aware of basically any of these.
