the thing with bottled coke is its sold heavily still in countries like india mexico aka areas where its hot and you work in fields so of course it has less weight to it and it feels less heavy inside you...otherwise it would not sell as much...canned coke is made for someone indoors relaxing or to eat with fast food...not for working in the hot sun..it needs to be smoother and lighter for those workers that drink it while they are doing labor...you don't want to drink 2 coke cans while working..you feel heavy...with the bottled coke you can drink 3 and feel fine in a day..it just goes down easy like water

Corn syrup coke is nowhere as popular worldwide as cane sugar is, Spain uses cane sugar for example, and so do many other countries. Americans are used to things that are super sweet/salty and high concentrations of artificial flavors and essences. Mexicans actually have a LOT of yankee influence in their hyperprocessed food, and the most sugary cereal in the world is mexican.

@@johnr797 Obviously people with no palate don't really count as taste testers, I doubt coca-cola and other companies would care so much about the differences in composition varying between countries if no one could tell the difference. Also, again, this is not a coke thing, it happens with everything.

In this case, 2 liters are generally cheaper than the small bottles. I'd buy as many in 2 liters as I could to save the money and then give them to people who'd actually drink them

Yeah, I never would have noted how Coke's flavor is a lot like caramel and is even in its after taste the way your teeth feel like the Coke stayed with it and how when you take a sip/bite you know its that tooth rotting sweetness which keep you coming back every time like crack. If you don't believe me take a bite of a chewy Werther's and chew on it write down what it feels like, then an hour later drink a room temp can of coke write it down and compare to your other notes, make a day of it! But still if you have the chance drink Mexican Coke it is too good for this world, too pure.

This was such a weirdly timed video for me. My friend and co-worker who LOVES coke, passed away Thursday night. Learned Friday, walked away to calm down, and this popped up. And I got ANGRY. Then I calmed down, went to McDonald's, bought a large, and went back to work (I work at a hospital, and she was taken there when she died) and poured it out in the parking lot in her memory

Fanta would be amazing! There are so many exotic flavors that aren't sold in regular American stores. If you're interested go to places like H-mart or other cultural grocery stores for flavors from other countries.

@@blazebaby89 100%. you have to pour them into the top of the bottle (preferably mexican coke). this way the peanuts pile up at the top and the coke washes over them delivering the salt as you drink. Putting them into a glass just dissolves all of the salt in the sweet coke flavor like he mentions in the vid.

My dad went to the usa in the 90s and told me coke used to have way more salt and gas there than in Brazil, neither Brazil nor Spain use corn syrup btw, I couldn't imagine how that tastes! I also cannot even begin to imagine how a children's cereal with freaking marshmallows on it would taste.

Cola in a verti just takes away from the nose when you sip. You also don't see that beautiful caramel color.
Still, some flavors are really enhanced in a verti, so it's not fair to give them a lower rating when you're drinking it in a horti.

The packaging of cane sugar coke in the US is in Spanish, presumably Mexico is the closest importer of the product.

That's how they're known because they're imported from Mexico. Even if it's the same recipe no one's going to call it German Coke or whatever because they come from Mexico and originally started being sold here for our immigrant populations from that country.
That is also, mostly, Mexican Coke. Mexico is the largest exporter of Coca Cola.
I think some South East Asian cokes use corn syrup too, I'm in New Zealand and our coke normally is cane sugar but you can often buy imported Coke for cheaper and I'm pretty sure it uses corn syrup

I'm a southerner (TN) and the peanuts in coke tradition is absolutely a thing here.
But at least in my family, "coke" never meant coke, it meant really any cola product so it wasn't Coca-cola brand we drank it with, it was usually RC. RC has a reputation for being sucky but I like it. Either way, I feel like peanuts in RC would be different than peanuts in like, Coke brand coke.

As something of diet soda enthusiast, at least from my experience, yes Caffeine Free Diet Coke DOES have a subtle difference in flavor than standard Diet Coke. I really go back and forth on which I like more, but there definitely is a difference

I heard they started putting corn syrup in the ones sold down in Latin America now. They still sell the Mexican Coke with cane sugar in America though. You'll have to check the ingredient label next time you grab one.

someone has probably already commented this. but for peanuts to work you have to do them differently. it was originally called "peanuts in a bottle" you pout a bunch of peanuts into the bottleand they all rise to the top at once. and it creates a layer of peanuts and salty coke fizz on top.

Yeah dude...I loved the music SO much that I went to the mall one day, found a kiosk salesman selling the original soundtrack and I picked it up and put it in my CD player...I listened to that CD constantly for months and would probably do a decent karaoke version of it if I tried lol
And yes...I'm like 30. CD players are ancient artifacts capable of playing these shiny circular objects called "disks". 🤣

You're literally changing the taste by drinking it with the wide glass. That gives it more surface area, which changes the carbonation. You gotta pick Vertiees over Horees when it comes to Soda.
