The boulder that Neds is on is known as "The Shelter Stone". Apparently when blasting in the quarry back a day, people used to shelter beneath it for protection. Awesome climbing! Always love seeing Lakes bouldering getting a bit of love. Hope you manage to get up Kentmere as well :)
I really hoped you catched that one on camera. Amazing film as always, so cool to see your amazing process of trying to balance climbing & life stuff (kids...)!
I love those boulders at Langdale! The most important question thoigh is what are the items you're wearing in that sequence and at Woodwell?! Such a cool route on the limestone!
This is so inspiring, I’m 100% going to travel to Lake District from seeing it with you and Aidan. P.S. are you going to be a mainstay for IFSC next year?! It just wasn’t the same without you after Bern
Urrgh horribly polished limestone 😢. The shelter stone was far better 20 years ago, Shallow Grave on red wall is better in my opinion. Gteat to see the lakes getting some problems on the list though and a cool series. Sampson Stones and Lad Stones to follow?
Hahaha yes, we were a little confused about that one! I thought it was 8B on the day but later on we thought it was actually 8A+! I stand by the fact that some of the 7Bs on this tour have been trickier tho 😂
Woodwell. You’ll never find a more wretched hive of Villainy and……TICKS Loads of bloody ticks in spring and summer And Lymes in the area so check yourself after a visit
Ned’s knowledge of all the routes is absolutely amazing 🤩
Genuinely some of the best bouldering footage being made right now!
Kid or no kid, 8B is unbelievable for me! Congrats 🎉
Thank you! 🙏

Fabulous film. Spot on camera, edit and the audio mix wasn't too bad either 😉
And as always, pleasure to watch you climb, Shauna.
Great vibe and filming on this episode. And climbing is great too 🎉🎉🎉 thanks
Glad you enjoyed it!
Such an inspiring and incredible video!👏👏

awesome climbing, would've been sweet to see pit low or Vitruvian man make it onto the top 50 too, both lovely climbs
There was only really one problem I could put on that boulder 😂

I am back for Laval this weekend! 🔥🔥🔥🤘
Love this series! When it's finished are you going to go on and do the 50 best 8's?
Now that would be one hell of a challenge!
Amazingly, some bits of Trowbarrow are more polished than Ravenstor.
new climbing shoes from ADIDAS

Got to put a little bit of limestone in the list right? 😂😂😂 (Red Wall is great though)
so there is a sit start graded 8b in the book and then you say it's 7b... and finally write 8a+ in the video... wtf ?

Good shout. Yep found some ticks on our clothes but luckily we spotted them early and swiped them away!
