Double digit hits is always encouraging in the box score but I’d agree our offense is still struggling to find that extra gear to tack on insurance runs. If we could walk 4 times a game and strike out 6x or less our team would legit probably score 6 runs/game.
I'd like the Mariners to call about Eric Swanson. Be tougher to get him any cheaper than you could right now and we still have the same coaching staff that over saw his dominance in 2022.
@@jeffthompson1231sure he got the save but only because rooker chased out of the zone (on a 92 mph fastball) Not to mention the walk he issued before. And the grand slam he gave up to the angels. I know he’s a fan favorite but he’s not good
IMHO it's the bullpen that should be the Mariners biggest concern rather than the offense. Granted the offense isn't good but I think if it can be just ok that's fine and I do think the line up we have can manage that. But it's the bullpen which has lost so much whether from trades in the off-season (Topa and Campbell) or injuries with Brash Santos and now Speier and Munoz.
Obviously this isn’t a perfect comparison but Michael Kopech and Spencer Strider technically started as bullpen arms before they transitioned back into starters. Speaking of Kopech, that would be a nice trade this summer.

Colby Flagged Luke Raley, Logan Gilbert, Josh Rojas, Bryan Woo, and Dylan Moore.
Ty Flagged Bryce Miller, Jorge Polanco, Luis Urías, Mitch Garver, and Mitch Haniger.
The cynic in me says they are carrying guys rather than DLing them, so they don't have to cut 10 major league game checks to a replacement

For mailbag Monday, what do you both think it would take to get Bleday and Miller from the Athletics?

I would assume Evans will pitch exclusively from the stretch
Is Hanigers lack of playing time affecting his plate performance?
He’s sucked after the first two weeks and he played every day for about six weeks. So I’m gonna say no
Hey he's done a couple things
