Jeff and Justin, Really enjoyed the show like always. One comment I want to give is I don’t know where the negativity comes from to you since one of the thing that really sticks out with both of you is the objectivity and what a breath of fresh air it is. Never doubt yourselves because you have the best baseball show!!!!! Lastly, I’ve been tell ling our son what you said about Bo from Toronto. Too much to get him and not a good fit.
I must admit I stopped listening to the game at 0-3 but in my defence it was around 1 in the morning in the UK. Always nice to wake up to a very surprising outcome. Thanks gents, top show as standard 👍
Cleveland fan from the UK, starting following properly in 2017 a year after the World series run. They have always been my team since watching the fantastic Major League, the run to the world series grabbed my attention.
Regarding Williams, I mapped out a plan of getting him to 90 pitches that sees him in Cleveland the week of June 24.🤞 The move of announcing Sandlin to start tonight is so smart on so many levels- truly impressive by Vogt and his staff! 🤩
Oedipus reference, and same guard time same guard station both made me chuckle. How about Angel Martinez hitting a home run? Proud of the Guardos for fighting back last night!
What a game last night. This might be the most balanced team in all of baseball when you consider the lineup, the pen, and the starting pitching. The Yankees are probably a tick ahead but their bullpen has the feeling of one that could implode at any point. Love that the production comes from everywhere in our lineup, and Freeman’s occasional long ball is the only thing that keeps me from wanting to try someone else in CF
Great win last night! I thought we missed our chance to come back with the back 2 back K's with the bases juiced. Smart idea with Sandlin 'starting' tonight. Hope the weather holds off, does not look promising. I do like Bo, but we have too many other pressing needs to overpay for him. A SP should be out top priority.
I think the biggest need the guardians will have for a playoff run is starting pitching depth. Not sure if any will be available, or what kind of price will be required. It feels like the team only has 2.5 reliable starters right now.
I think starting pitching has to be what we target at the deadline. Sure Bichette would be a great upgrade, but we still have tons of position players to sort through and give opportunities to. Acquiring a starting pitcher doesn’t block anyone, and the rotation has to get better if this team wants to have success in October.
I agree your hoping one of the kids can be good enough at short or good for the moment like Oscar. Pitching wise they just don't have that in the upper minors
Bichette seems like the kind of guy you get AFTER all of the other needs has been addressed. Right now, the biggest need is starting pitching (for the first time in many years) and if they're going to overpay for someone, I'd rather it be a starter. I've heard Jesus Luzardo's name being mentioned from time to time. He would be expensive in what you would have to give up and he does have injury concerns but he would be a better fit for this team.
I felt good about the lineup the second it was posted. I was happy to NOT see names like Rocchio, Arias, and Bo. They just don’t hit the ball enough and they’re dead spots in the lineup. I still think Bo needs some time off to focus on his offense. Feeling really confident about Cade Smith. He’s got a strong presence on the mound.
I like that lineup. Geminez can be over aggressive at times though. Nice not to see Arias, Rocchio, Naylor or Hedges starting in the bottom of the lineup. All automatic outs
I really like Shnee I hope he hits and gets more playing time. Even the few at bats we’ve seen of him already look better than Arias and most of Rocc’s ABs. He also made a pretty smooth play to turn the DP last night
We have to make a statement. Go win tonight and don't be happy with a series win. No days off go put your foot on their neck and sweep em and make a STATEMENT and remind them who the top dogs ARE in this division!
I know you were time constrained but Cbus offense had a monster game and a lot of guys there are really heating up from recently returned AMart to Brito, to Tena of course to Valera. But none have captured the attention more so than the big cat, JK Noel! Might be time to have a convo about it! 🤔 💡
boy, I thought we were dead in the water after that 3rd dinger given up by Triston. Odds to win the World Series have tumbled all the way down to +2400, we are in the neighborhood of the legit pre-season favorites now, albeit quite a ways off the Dodgers and Yankees prices. And Kayfus 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI's yesterday for Akron.
Personally the story of myrrah is my basline of greek tragedy but both work. Lol. Is schneeman defense good enough to start if he is actually the guy who hits rockets every chance, like hes shown in his 2 games so far.
I know the starting pitcher market is going to be wild, but I hope the front office is more concerned about getting a pitcher than they are about shortstop.
Interesting that not a single utterance in regard to Tyler Freeman’s blast to tie the game! The TFree slight continues! Last I heard mentioned he was providing less offense than Myles Straw! 😮 That said, Josh Naylor got more airtime on his running than his 3run 💣to open the scoring for the Guards. Maybe if tonight is rained out our two hosts can speak to what Freeman has done/will do? 🤔😁
They mentioned it. And Freeman has hardly been worth talking about. His OPS is terrible for a guy who doesn’t bring plus defense to his position. His occasional dinger and the teams lack of options are probably the only things keeping him in the lineup everyday.
@@davidwindellbro there is this thing called development. Freeman is developing still. You can tell he’s important to the team. Definitely was a godsend when Kwan was down
I dont like the Bichette fit. Honestly I'd like to add another back end starter like a Tyler Anderson. I also agree that DeLauter is not untouchable. With his history of foot injuries I'd be more inclined to trade him while his value is high because foot injuries tend to linger
Technically, Bo Bichette IS a fit for Cleveland. He’s a plus hitter and a competent enough defender on a reasonable contract. Yes- he strikes out. Yes- he never walks. Yes- he’s started slow this year.. all that said, he brings strength to a current position of weakness. He’d fit exceptionally well into the second spot in the lineup. My biggest concern would be in the locker room, as adding stars to a team that thrives on unity and humility is dangerous. You don’t want to do that unless you’re getting an absolute bargain (ie you hang onto Manzo, Ralphy and DeLauter and get Bichette for something like Chourio, Tena, Messick and Cantillo). I do NOT think you trade your top 2 prospects for him or deplete your MLB depth, but you’ve gotta explore it because the upside is significant.
I’m betting on Shnee before Bichette, I also don’t think Bichette has the makeup to be a guardian. Guardians have grit and play hard to the last out. I haven’t watched Bo too much but I don’t get that vibe from him
Freeman can def play SS better than ppl think. That said, the more effective option might be him going to 2b and Gim to SS tho I don’t think anyone thinks they’d contemplate that move mid-season.
If Bichette is "going to cost an arm and a leg", can we trade Carraaco's arm and Lauerano's leg for him? Lol! 😂
Ramon isn’t in the org anymore.
Because Lauerano has been gone for like 2 weeks!
@@davidwindell Has he played a game with the Braves yet?
They can try
We need a new locked on Guardians every 12 hours. Lets go!

Can't give up on this team
Cleveland fan from the UK, starting following properly in 2017 a year after the World series run. They have always been my team since watching the fantastic Major League, the run to the world series grabbed my attention.
If Bichette popped into this lineup he would be energized and go off.
I worry that he would bring other down to his level honestly
I don't think one can guarantee that he also is hitting the ball differently this year
Regarding Williams, I mapped out a plan of getting him to 90 pitches that sees him in Cleveland the week of June 24.🤞

Sandlin start is very smart hoping for Williams but don't want to rush him here either

Yankees do feel like that team would have said the Orioles were close until all their injuries everyone needs starters
CJ Kayfus is a revelation. Kids playing like he wants to break camp as the everyday RF in Cleveland next year.
Let's hold off on that until the advanced college bat faces AA and AAA
Great win for the Guards and Naylor for that hustle in the 7th
Smart too to take the huge lead off

Bibee and Lively and pray for rain

“Contingencies.”

How many times have we turned double plays ? Where do we rank in the A.L. ?
Will have to check they do feel like they do it a lot
Cantillo with a surprise rehab start for Columbus today. 47 pitches.
It was planned bit of a surprise that he only had one complex start first

He is fine likely better defensively than Bichette not as good as rocchio

Why make a CF weaker to play a guy who was a below average SS
Freeman was a below average MiLB SS, which doesn’t bode well for his ability to play the position in MLB every day.
