Got that harness half a year back or something. Can confirm, great harness. Huge fan and also was kind of the most comfortable one!

Thanks for the video, decided I should finally get a new harness after about 8 years and went for this one. Cant wait to have more than 4 gear loops on multipitch trad!

I'm mostly the "buy it once" type of person, so I went for this harness when getting back into rock climbing and I really like it. It's not perfect for everything, but it's great at most things. Sure, I could have gone for something more comfortable since I'm usually in the gym and it's not the most comfortable to hang in, but I feel like it makes me less likely to hangdog and bore my belayer to death. I'll also be able to use this in the alpine (eventually) which I wouldn't really want to do with an Adjama or something heavier and more bulky like that. Also I sweat A LOT in the gym, so having something a little thinner that doesn't act like a sponge and take forever to dry is a plus.

Thanks for this review. I have been looking for a newer harnesses and was looking at the Aquila. Your review help make my decision.👍

Love this harness. Just wish they’d made the belay loop black and the gear loops any other colour than that horrible mottled grey effect.
Aesthetic grumbles - admittedly but still.

    One thing to consider:
Both, the Hirundos and Aquila are incompatible with carabiners that can (and thus will) catch on their nose. If you switched to/ own clean nose carabiners already there is no issue with that harness. Otherwise consider additional costs! ❤

Hey! Does Petzl say that or have you tested this?

Wouldn't that kinda be the case with any harness? What do other harnesses do that make them "compatible" with non-shrouded biners?

Petzl doesn’t make carabiners with hooked noses they are all key lock style so the catching isn’t a problem with the carabiners they produce
