I exfoliate every wash day. That shampoo brush is amazing. Plus I always do a tea rinse. Depends on my mood and if I scalp is itchy. I'll do fenugreek and hibiscus with moringa and nettle. Or witchhazel tea. And always use heat with my dc

Hi everyone. These comments have helped my hair journey so much. I'm so grateful for them, so I have one that has helped me tremendously. When your scalp is clogged and flaky, try not to add anymore oil to it. Oil tends to clogs it further at that point. Instead, wrap it in a satin or silk scarf, put on a satin lined hat if you can, or put it in a low manipulation hairstyle until you get a chance to wash your hair. Also, if your scalp is irritated/inflamed, use a moisturizing shampoo instead of a clarifying shampoo or a scalp exfoliator. It will lift the flakes off and not cause anymore irritation at the same time. My scalp is so tender and sensitive, when I learned about this on my own I was like my coils are going to start poppin even more! Take care!

Hey love! Amazing video as always. I don't believe anyone has mentioned the difference in detangling/manipulating fully saturated wet hair vs damp vs dry (although we all know not to on dry hair). Do you think a video on that matter would work? Would you already have one? I'm have a feeling manipulating just washed hair while sopping wet leads to more breakage as opposed to damp hair. Thanks for the work once again!

I use Umberto Giannini Scalp Scrub (the green one, exfoliating anti-dandruff) one a week before washing and leave on for at least 10 minutes - 15 or more even better. It's good at clarifying hair too. Umberto Giannini's Scalp Rescue mask has some similar enzymes too, so use it when I don't feel I need the more effective Scalp Scrub again yet/ it's been less than a week.
I also use one of those silicon scalp massagers ( but not with the Scalp Scrub as it has exfoliating tiny fragments of walnut shell - or something similarly biodegradable, can't remember off hand).

The one thing I do, on a daily basis, is keep my scalp stark clean. In fact, I have an oily scalp; I notice it takes twenty-four to forty-eight hours for excess sebum to be back again on my scalp. So I wash it either with a gentle clarifying shampoo (Vanicream’s is my favorite) or with African black soap. 😊
