- Hi guys! Welcome episode 179 part 1 of Learn That Solo! Today we’ll look at the intro solo from ‘This War Is Ours’ by Escape The Fate.

Nebojsa cinic and yes...please go back to some oldschool stuff...there are people that are a bit old to listen and modern metal genres,or just dont like it...what happened with "The Sleep" or "We'll Meet Again" by Pantera?..both of them are masterpieces and totaly worth to be on your channel...dont let us down :( :D

first off. you're a great teacher. second off. when you sweep are you holding the pick with thumb and index or thumb and both index + middle?

+Crazy J well then what about you? do you use a pick? if so how do you hold it when doing sweeps?
well you would hold it the same as you would pick normally because u don't want to have to adjust your pick halfway through a song If u know what I mean, might not have enough time etc. so you should hold it normally but if it doesn't work very well u might have to change it entirely, I would just do what feels the most comfortable

Hello Chris do you change your strings for different tunings ? You recorded E Std and C Drop with same guitar.
How do you get the notes to sound so clear? Mine sound so muddy, and my sweep is usually clear

Good work once again, but it would be nice if you did more solos from other genres. Lately most of the solos have been metalcoreish
Really it's all about how many suggestions he gets and I bet he gets more for these solos a7x etc

I'm sure the community for older stuff is large on this channel but those guys are more timid and just say thanks while the righteous assholes that only want metal core suggest then every video I would love to see some older classics but the time chris puts into these solos is ridiculous and instead of requests he should just get thanks
on which pickup do you play? neck or bridge?
These arpeggios r a bit off. Second arpeggio is 9777 10-577 n the third one is 17 16 14 15 17-15 15 14.
String ur in should be self explanatory from the way he explains the first arpeggio. But his notes r wrong for the second two.

Because u r a better guitarist then me and the way u explain n demonstrate things is very helpful to people like me. Ur notes r just off a lil, apart from that a very helpful demonstration.

Nonsense. A solo is one big ass scale sequence. Even if you play it at 20% speed you're still learning some thing. Keep at it dude
