I love how he went from the quiet dude in the back playing drums, looking like he is on break from Office max. Now he's on a mind body soul kick with all the bodybuilding, tie dye, and commitment to furthering his own skill on this instrument. Dude is a huge inspiration for many many reasons.

I think that’s a mark of a true music enthusiast, if you deliberately continue to engage with the music even if it’s not your taste to appreciate everything about it, it’s not just hearing music it’s LISTENING to music

They sound fucking awful. The snare is nice, but those fucking toms are just horrible. He’s still my favorite drummer, but damn, switching from Tama to Dw. I don’t understand.
Watching Matt play is like watching someone talk about string theory or particle physics. I don't understand a lot of it but I feel smarter after.

I feel we could talk for days just on the snare tone. Whoever mic'd and mixed the sound for this show did a fantastic job. The bass drum tone as well.
