No. Compared to the FALKEN, the Raven was designed for a little more durability and survivability. The Ravens in the last mission fit the purpose. As Aces at War mentioned, the plane is meant to be "the ultimate in survivability". And considering what happened to other superfighters that tried to shoot down the player, it was understandable. But, alas, the Raven, too, fell.
@@briant5447 he means Pulse Lasers, not the TLS. The Raven has Pulse Lasers instead of the machine guns that most planes have, but that’s about it’s only actual advantage.
this brings back memories of a certain cartoon franchise from decades back. based on the side by side comparison and performances of both planes, i've come to the following conclusion: the ADF-11F Raven is Dr Robotnik/Eggman, the ADF-01 Falken is Sonic. watching those cartoons and playing the games in the years that followed were good times, good times indeed. *feeling of nostalgia intensifies*
The FALKEN looks cooler and has an awesome cockpit view. The Raven just has the generic "Nothing" first person view with a colour filter. Laaame. And yes, I'm aware that has nothing to do with how either handles, and I don't care.
The only thing I don't understand is why didn't they make the bar stats more reflective of the falkens performance? Like I know the bar stats in ac7 can be highly misleading as is but why not at least have the stats on par with/above the raven or something?
The ADF-11F is very similar to the 6th generation fighter jet being developed in real life. - Laser Weapon - - No tail wings - - Unmanned / Manned - Both controllable - It's cool enough, but from an aerodynamic point of view, or from a stealth point of view, it's a very sci-fi design. What I want is aircraft designers to react to this fighter and realistically modified ADF-11F
There's no right answer about which aircraft is better. One let's you use drones that'll even give Mr X a hard time... Another lets you chuck a fuel-air bomb at Princess Cossette's face to save her from the nearby tanks surrounding her... And yes, I speak from experience
One acts like a bomber, the other more of a fighter. That's as simple as it gets. They're BOTH GOOD PLANES BUT JUST DIFFERENT ROLES. Just like how with EVERY PLANE. You don't see a Boeing 747 doing Dogfights even though they fly longer and can carry more payloads. Or a Siena flying 60,000 FT in the air.
That kinda goes out of the window when the ADF11F is supposedly the cutting edge dogfighter for absolute air dominance, so is the FALKEN even though it has FAEB. Yet the supposedly older plane had better performance in all in-game measurements and a smaller profile making it harder to hit in the first place.

@@majorborngusfluunduch8694 so he's basically stealing the glory away from trigger. I mean trigger can fly and fight at the same time in single seated planes like the raptor, so why does he now need a backseat driver?
@@tennoshenaniganizer9234 Well for one thing, as I noted in the previous comment, some planes *cannot be flown by one guy.* Using the same example, the F-14 NEEDS two pilots in order to be flown into combat. It's radar is too complicated to deal with while also flying and fighting the plane. In fact, the entire back seat is dedicated to operating the radar. Making that plane work is a team effort. Secondly, the WSO helps take a load off of the Pilot. You make it seem like he's a nuisance getting in Trigger's way when you call him a "Backseat Driver" but that's not fair at all to WSOs. Even when the pilot decides to do all of the work, the WSO still serves a valuable role as a second pair of eyes. On some planes he can even fly the plane himself if the Pilot can no longer do it for some reason.
Raven is still the better plane, I mean logically it should be considering its got way more years of improved technology put into it. Besides, the real difference between these two planes is that the Raven has Drones, the Falken does not, and while the Falken's laser is powerful yes, the Drones have a far better use in terms of pure versatility. Id rather have the Drones.
Can you give advice on how to use the FALKAN because the FAEB really just seems like a big UGB that’s slow to reload and I’m not sure how to use the tls properly
The FALKEN's TLS isn't any stronger than any other TLS in terms of damage (just reload speed), so it's nothing special compared to any other TLS. I never figured out the FAEB myself in most games. In AC4, I swear the HIGHER in altitude you dropped it from, the more fuel it could dispense and the larger its area of destruction would be. I got mixed results from using it in 5, Zero, and Assault Horizon Legacy.
That's pretty much what the UGB is in AC7. Just toss that goddamn thing onto clustered areas and watch whole battalions evaporate under that big hot fireball
Pretty much right on the money, the FAEB is just a really, really big boom. The TLS is just useless in AC7, didn’t realize that it differed between planes though.
imo the PLSL works better against almost targets, but in cloudy situation it goes nut. So I can say PLSL is better in major conditions, but you need to choose MG in some missions(Like Misson 7 or 17)
The Raven's pulse laser has half the distance and half the firing rate of the laser pod weapon and it's still affected by clouds. It's a necessary drawback that doesn't make it that much stronger than most guns.
So is the TLS the same power on the FALKEN? I was hoping that it would be back to its original OP strength from the pre-Assault Horizon Legacy days just because it's the original plane that has the weapon built into it.
@@DrRussian really? there wasn't a timer on the screen, and both bombers seemingly blew up at the exact same time (including the DESTROYED message), but I did notice the Raven's bomber took longer for the explosion animation to pass.
@@DRCEQ There was a timer, look below the aircraft. although it wasn't a timer per say but was counting the pulses the TLS does. Falkens laser is slightly more powerful, but not really noticeable in gameplay.
In a one vs one fight the falken lost 90 on 100 time. Raven has better defense and better stability and a better firepower. The tls of the raven is not its main weapon so its irrilevant. The tls of the falken il better but in a dogfight vs quaam or Uav is simply lost... And raven has psls that it's a better laser weapon, more effective and more easy to use. The adf 01 also possees xlaa missiles that in a dogfight are not very useful.. So imagine to have to face a raven armed not with tls but with quaam or (better) with uav. Falken has no time to target the raven with tls that it's already dead.
True, I will agree on that but the downside of raven is that it was never meant for pilots to use while falken can be controlled either on the pilot seat or simulation chamber so even if raven has better survivability and armaments if the falken has a better pilot, raven loses big time.
I know what ya saying... The raven just feels almost too big. The weapons are pretty awesome and the jet is everything a superjet should be but it just feels kinds wierd

Can't say the ADF-01 FALKEN wins this one. While the Falken definitely has better A2G weapons, the Raven is WAY more versatile with it's UAVs, and QAAMs are god like in dogfights too.
Falken's got the cooler cockpit so it wins in a landslide in my view
I dunno, she seems to not want to slow down when in a dive, and I'm still not sold on her weapon systems (I could never hit a damn thing with the TLS for starters)
Falken will always be my favorite ace combat aircraft
But maybe in the next game there would be original Osean jets
Well the original Osean Jets were also Belkan original ones too since Osea captured gründer at the end of ACZ
Gründer Industries is Osean *wink*
Also cannot wait for the Morgan to come put!
A classic will be always a classic...
And that it enough.
I prefer the speed of a craft instead of load out so that’s why I use the Raven instead of the falken sure the falken accelerates faster but overall for me, Raven is the best
I wish that Ace combat 7 had all the plane from Ace combat infinity since I very very late to the party and never got the chance to used them.
Only a man can dream
Anyone else remember the XFA-27 Phoenix?
Yes, that's why it's in the second wave DLC.
Still waiting for the ADFX - 01 MORGAN

The Falken is like a T-65, while the Raven is an ARC-170
Hey, I got that reference. Although I’d say it’s more like the Falken is a Z-95, and the Raven is the T-65.
@@Slender_Man_186 I mean performance wise.
@@cac_deadlyrang I know, the Z-95 is a pure fighter, while the T-65 is a multirole. I’d say the ADA-01 is the ARC-170, leaning more heavily into the attacker role.
@@Slender_Man_186 I see what you mean.

Mmmm
That similar ace combat 3 HUD Raven has that virtually removes overall cockpit
>When you're supposedly the successor and the latest aircraft of the ADF series being especially customed to have unparalleled air to air performance, and your granddad outperforms you in about every way outside of a laser pew pew that gets nullified in clouds
The classic one will never die
Adf-11f is a whole new aircraft for the grunder company so it was expected to have some downgraded parts of the plane that still needs improvement, just saying
Thats right, but even as the ultimate power, the plane still have its limits from wich next gen will be produce and correct such limitations
Ayumu Futkai
*There it its! Fenrir!*
So the Falken performs better. But the Raven has pew pew lazers so...
So does falken
@@briant5447 Nah it has TLS. Which does turn the plane into a transformer, but it still sucks.
@@briant5447 he means Pulse Lasers, not the TLS. The Raven has Pulse Lasers instead of the machine guns that most planes have, but that’s about it’s only actual advantage.
やっぱりベルカの技術は偉大だったか
this brings back memories of a certain cartoon franchise from decades back. based on the side by side comparison and performances of both planes, i've come to the following conclusion:
the ADF-11F Raven is Dr Robotnik/Eggman, the ADF-01 Falken is Sonic.
watching those cartoons and playing the games in the years that followed were good times, good times indeed.
*feeling of nostalgia intensifies*
............ ok then
Falken is really OP in 7, in some few ways better than the Raptor.
I imagine the Raven was supposed to be better, but gameplay doesn't reflect it well
I noticed that too, when I saw the bars I was like "wow the falken is shit..?" But it's not lol
Same here, I was dissapointed that the FALKEN is even slower than the X-02S stat bar representation wise at least.
The ADF-11F is very similar to the 6th generation fighter jet being developed in real life.
- Laser Weapon -
- No tail wings -
- Unmanned / Manned - Both controllable -
It's cool enough, but from an aerodynamic point of view, or from a stealth point of view, it's a very sci-fi design. What I want is aircraft designers to react to this fighter and realistically modified ADF-11F
the real life falken/raven its called the nasa and lockheed martin x59 quesst
X-49 NIGHT RAVEN >>>
The raven is basically a prototype COFFIN fighter
Still like the raven better in most missions.
Like what ?
Any mission with a "boss" fight and air v air heavy missions
@@Ares-wh5is how did you know? I am not even playing any of the Ace Combat games.
Raven: who are you?
Falken: im you, but with tail wings that looks cooler
Gründer industries brought the ADF-01 back, and improved it?
But the ADF-11 should be advanced as it was supposed to be
I blame Gründer
raven is better but the falken is sexier
looking at them side by side made me realize the raven has no vertical stabilizers (i highly doubt the belly fin can be considered one)
Hmm.... I'm thinking of angry bird skin for a plane does that make any sense ?
The falken has a much better interior.
単純な機体性能ならファルケンだけど、PLSLやUAVなどの武装を考えるとレーベンかな
Those are bootiful jets
I'd definitely choose the Falken over the Raven
You should make a chart at the end of the video with all the data too for an overall comparison on the next video.
I really dont like that raven has a Snapchat filter as a cockpit when its basically the same module
I can agree on that apperently the ravens cockpit view is a 3D overlay so with 3D googles you can see some extra stuff i've been told. But I would rather have falkens cockpit view

I wish the standard X-02 comes back. I like the X-02s but it's not the same :(
Same, I'm not a fan of strike planes. I mean what is the guy in the back seat even doing?
@@tennoshenaniganizer9234 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weapon_systems_officer
@@tennoshenaniganizer9234 The WSO tends to be the guy who does the actual "Striking" in a "strike plane". If not, he plays a big part in helping the pilot do it. Some planes, like the F-14, can't be operated properly without that guy. Show your WSO/RIO the love they deserve!
Good to see the one I prefer the look of does better in the areas I need it to
Hey Ace combat fan, can you do this will all stock aircraft?
Raven is still the better plane, I mean logically it should be considering its got way more years of improved technology put into it.
Besides, the real difference between these two planes is that the Raven has Drones, the Falken does not, and while the Falken's laser is powerful yes, the Drones have a far better use in terms of pure versatility. Id rather have the Drones.
How about their sub weapon, the raven has PLS, meanwhile falken only has standard machine gun if i remember correctly
Both have the same fuselage
How about the pulse laser gun vs the old gun?
How about the machine gun-plsl
imo the PLSL works better against almost targets, but in cloudy situation it goes nut.
Adf-11f one of my fav
So is the TLS the same power on the FALKEN? I was hoping that it would be back to its original OP strength from the pre-Assault Horizon Legacy days just because it's the original plane that has the weapon built into it.
Actually, the Falken TLS is stronger. It took the Raven TLS 5 pulses to kill the bomber, where the Falken took 3.
@@DrRussian Oh I didn't even notice the counter at the bottom. Thanks!
Big boi and a fast boi
the only way a casual player is even able to finish this insanely hard game!
The raven should be a lot faster
Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t the Falken based on the Morgen, and the Raven based on the Falken?
The Falken is based on the Morgan while the Raven is kind of a next generation version of the Falken
Imma guess the falken isn't manned
Is this 2 aircraft dlc?
In a one vs one fight the falken lost 90 on 100 time. Raven has better defense and better stability and a better firepower. The tls of the raven is not its main weapon so its irrilevant. The tls of the falken il better but in a dogfight vs quaam or Uav is simply lost... And raven has psls that it's a better laser weapon, more effective and more easy to use. The adf 01 also possees xlaa missiles that in a dogfight are not very useful.. So imagine to have to face a raven armed not with tls but with quaam or (better) with uav. Falken has no time to target the raven with tls that it's already dead.
the only advantage is the tls from falken more powerfull
True, I will agree on that but the downside of raven is that it was never meant for pilots to use while falken can be controlled either on the pilot seat or simulation chamber so even if raven has better survivability and armaments if the falken has a better pilot, raven loses big time.
Id prefer the Falken over the Raven anytime
TYVM for this now i gonna buy falken
can't mess with Belkan technology.
The FALKEN will always be my personal favourite. The Raven is a good plane but I dunno..something about it just turns me off.
I know what ya saying... The raven just feels almost too big. The weapons are pretty awesome and the jet is everything a superjet should be but it just feels kinds wierd
@@metalhammer303 same, and the front-on profile annoys me, cause you can see the gap between the RAW-F body and the cockpit module. other than that the infinite ammo plsl is very fun.
