I just got mine yesterday! Maybe I'm dumb, but I can't seem to get it to work with Battery 4. I'm on macos, the pad is powered, just seems that Battery doesn't want to recognize it
In Battery you need to turn on MIDI devices you want to control it with. Go to File>Audio and MIDI Settings… and in the MIDI tab there you need to turn the Mandala to ‘On’. For general connection steps you can watch the Mandala V3 Unboxing and Setup Tutorial video on the Mandala Drum RUclips channel too. There’s also Battery info in that video.
@@MandalaDrum Thank you for the quick reply! I tried all that, no dice... but I don't think it's a Mandala issue. I think it's my installation of Battery.
@@reactdave1800To verify your Mandala connection go to Audio MIDI Setup on your Mac and make sure you see Mandala_V3 in the MIDI Studio window there. To monitor Mandala output you can go to utility.mandalaV3.com in Chrome and you’ll see Mandala_V3 in the Device window there and see your hits light up on the pad graphic.
Logic (Alchemy plug-in factory presets), Battery 4 (factory presets and original samples), Ableton LIVE (factory presets and original samples), PIPES (factory presets). The Mandala/s are sending MIDI note triggers (USB or 5-pin MIDI) from the surface and rims and also sending MIDI continuous controllers (Slide, Position, Pressure) from the surface and rims with just 550 microsecond latency to control the programs and hardware listed above. It works similarly with any audio software or hardware (Kontakt/Serum/Reaper/Cubase/vintage synths/samplers/etc.).
Look amazing, can’t wait
Ordered 3!

What are they using to control this? Software wise? These are just pads right? Battery? SD3?

Is Danny wearing Meshuggah gym shorts?
Yes! He is good friends with Tomas Haake.
Genius 🙌
So funny seeing club yielding cavemen marvel at making a thousandth of what keyboardists already did back in the 70s… #beagoodsportsman
So? Hahahahah
@@angeloprofera3296 That was it really.
Drums are better than piano let’s just be real no competition there
I felt like I lost IQ reading this, but then again, maybe that‘s needed in order to understand this nonsense…
