Fan fact : stardust speedway act2 is not the future but the present since in act 1 we were in the past and present for them is the future

I’d say it’s more a “present” than bad future.
This feels like a Stardust Speedway Act 3. (Btw this is using the original Mania Bossfight for Act 2.) After you defeat Metal Sonic, he builds another generator and sends you to the Future. It's the Bad Future, and the boss is Metal with the Phantom Ruby like the new bossfight. It would make sense 0_0
