Excellent job Jem ..AND your camera skills have really improved! :) Many years ago an old farmer told me mix broken glass into the cement if you have rats likely to dig through..they wont get past that and hes right. we had no end of trouble living next to a river and the fekkers burrowing through the house foundations ...filled everything with cement and broken glass and they never got through there again..they got through the roof instead lol

You nailed it 100%. What an unbelievable job you did. A guy could not ever tell you were there aside from the drain now working properly. Your attention to detail is commendable.

I tried to tell you that the first piece of pipe you cut was a bit short but you didn't listen ! 😉. As always a really relaxed but informative and professional video. A pleasure to watch.
A short handled spade and a short handled pickaxe are the handiest things when piping in a trench. I used to have one that was the metal handle welded to the metal spade end and there wasn’t a factory made tool that could compare.

Nice work Jem. I did the same job at Wirral council for a while, til my knees carried away. They put me in the office then as clerk of works until I retired. You did everything right, and faster than I could have managed. I wish I could have had you in my crew.

That manhole repair reminds me of when I repair boiler refractory. I used some pine cleaner today and I instantly thought of Mersey Rod lol.
