He doesn't know he loves a woman. That makes this scene so interesting. He know he should never say this to the Crown Prince but he did. He is ready to endure everything for the prince.
That's why love knows nothing about gender. It drives from inside and can't be held as long as you can for love is able to take any consequences from outside..

Think about having that courage to confess to another man what more to a prince. They cannot be together due to status and gender (not knowing he's a female) but Ji-un was not even embarrass to tell his feelings and went for it. 🥺 Love is for all whatever circumstances. 💕

I think Park Eun Bin and Rowoon are amazing actors. Watching their subtle shifts in facial expressions, tone of their voice is mesmerizing.
If there’s one stereotype that has to go it’s the “we can’t be together because of social status” thing. It builds the suspense and gets viewers interested, but it kills me inside

But it's a story about life in historic Korea, it's not a stereotype, it is existing class/caste system.
It's a historical drama, it's going to be extremely unrealistic if they ignored everything and went lovey-dovey
I'm afraid this will be sad ending... this is historical drama after all and she is not just ordinary person. She is a crown prince.

This scene was a confession without say "Love", he used another word that more deeper. I think, the first time that he falls with Hwi was a lovesick but when he had hug by him(her) he knew that it a deep feeling with someone who depressed from inside too. Especially when it wasn't a dream that Hwi feels the same way to, he confessed with braved and confidently let go through this time. What a romantic and driven man!
Ji-un is brave; he follows his heart.
I love how Ji-un didn't hold back when his feelings were confirmed by himself (kinda bonus also coz he partly knows the Crown Prince reciprocates it) ❤️
He is so brave confessing like that, I mean man to man. And she is no ordinary man. Also I like The Swoon's name choices for these little scenes. It's like screenwriter's guideline for K drama romance 😜

What amazes me the most was how rational Jiun is in coming to terms with his feelings and gay identity. And he does not hesitate nor waver in putting his foot down and confessing his feelings in front of Hwi. He essentially came out to Hwi but it wasnt about himself, it was about his emotions and affection and feelings. And how he was determined amd willing to go all the way for and with Hwi. Now where is my irl Jiun?

Agreed. I hated when they done the princ dirty for not mentioning his bisexuality (in reviews etc.) in Lovers In The Moonlight, as he was in love with the female lead, even if he thought she was a male at the time.

This is so touching the more I think about it. Jiun tried to deny his feelings at first but once he realizes what it is that he genuinely feels, he mustered the courage to confess. Jiun even said he will endure everything, whatever people say or think about him😭.
Not even ''whatever people say'', it's '' whatever crowned prince say or think about him''. I'm straight *man* but this one I appreciate that.

This male lead is definitely in love with her soul and spirit because for him it doesn't matter if she is a man or woman. He is constant in his feelings evan if he doesn't know it yet. What a charming personality he has!
im so nervous on the upcoming episodes for them because in the interview they said that in the next half its gonna be out of their control as she's gonna be king, for me sure the genre is kinda cliché but the plot is actually unpredictable and im so scared because i just want my poor dam i/hwi to catch a break and get her simple happy ending where she doesn't have to hide anymore and freely express herself😿

Episode 10 just broke my heart into pieces
I just binge watched LOVE IN THE MOONLIGHT and oh my God so many similarities with this drama. Love it, love it, love it, LOVE THEM ALL. Korea has handsome actors with good acting expressions. Kdrama is my new fave.
I've been waiting for another historical drama that can topple LITML from the top spot. A couple got close but the endings just barely fell short. This has potential but the back half will have to be superb.

Love seeing this scene ...Rowoon and Park Eun-Bin are amazing.. they are so great together. I am in love with both Park Eun-Bing and Rowoon. Also, feel pity and sad seeing their forbidden love. It breaks my heart .. even more sad seeing Nam Yoon-Su, he is also in love with Eun-Bin and kept the secret for so long. Plus, Choi Byun-Chan is fantastic as the King bodyguard -- bravo to Director Song Hyun-Wook for this masterpiece...
